I have to agree with most of you guys here, this game is something else and is a cut above other survival games. I won't say it's the best game ever as we all enjoy different things and what I think is better might not be what someone else thinks. As for suggestions and/or ideas of new features/content, the only thing I really want in this game (and not seen the devs say anything about it) is the ability to amputate limbs on zombies. For example, I shoot a zombie's leg a couple of times it should fall off, leaving the Z crawling on it's chest, or hopping around. If I swing my axe and hit it's arm, then it should fall off, lowering it's ability to attack.

Well if my memory serves me correctly, the DEVs have said that they will sort out the gamma "exploit" as soon as they can. So technically it is cheating. Now the last time I checked the definition of cheating is to gain an unfair advantage by doing/changing something that wasn't intended or using something in a way that was not intended. So yeah it's cheating and not a "play style" nor leaving yourself handicapped if you don't. It's actually playing honestly. @OP Day/night cycle will be more apparent when they fix the light clipping through walls/buildings and the exploit I just mentioned.

A friend and I logged into a full pop server, we were in Elektro, it was night and the streets were littered with camp fires and all you could hear was gun shots ringing off in the distance, it has to be the most intense night I've ever had, truly the definition of apocalyptic

Steam was offline for about 20 minutes for me, came back online for like 10 minutes now it's offline again. It does this alot to be honest, it should come back on soon enough but I don't think it's anything to do with you/your connection.

It doesn't seem to be "patch day" Wednesday is always "maintenance day" hence why the servers are down but that should be finished now and a quick check shows that some servers have come back online and still have the 0.52 build so I'd say there's no new patch today.

So I wanted to try the new (0.53) experimental build. So after downloading the patch I try to launch the game. "Preparing to launch DayZ" appears on screen I get a little blue circle to indicate my PC is doing something, it stops and no game appears. I verify integrity of game cache I try launching steam as administrator I try launching DayZ as administrator I've jump back and forth from stable to experimental about 10 times Still nothing. So I try launching the game via the .exe file found in the DayZ folder where I then get a error message stating that a dll file is missing from my PC. Note that I can play stable with no problems at all and I've made a post on the feedback tracker but while I wait for a response from their (will probably be Monday before I hear back) I'm hoping someone here might have a few ideas to try.

Well it's rather easy for me to remember as there was only 1 assault rifle in the game, so it was an M4A1

If by poorly you mean not at all then yes. But what some people seem to forget is during the development of a game optimization comes right at the end. So don't expect it to get much better until the game is on the verge of being finished.

No offence bud but I don't trust downloading dll files from another website, if the devs or forum admin here can get the dll file then I'd download it Thanks though.

As 99% of you guys should know the cheating in this game as of late is higher than ever. Every high pop server I've joined with my clan we've been gunned down by teleporting, vanishing and floating cheaters. It's come to the point that my clan of 15+ players have now stopped playing until this is fixed so when is BE going to do this big update the the DEVs are claiming to be coming?

So because I make 1 post about being gunned down in the ATC that means we spend our time on the airfield lol and yeh people should be "privileged" to be apart of an alpha it's not often you get this chance and when people clearly are complaining about stuff that is apart of an alpha then yeah just like you have no clue what they're talking about. I didn't tell Bohemia anything, I said thanks to the DEVs for taking our money and adding useless stuff to the game while letting hackers run rampant for so long. Now incase you didn't release this topic isn't about me it's about this long awaited update that everyone (genuine players of course) should be wanting on.

Okay now two posts out of two you've made here assuming shit you have no clue about, I suggest you give up now before you make yourself look dumb. My squad and I don't "roll" around airfields, not to mention I don't tell people to calm down when they post about shit in the game. Now like I said, best you give up now.

For your information I've never played the mod and after 1200 hours of playing in this Alpha I can tell you I'm here for the long haul if they fix this problem. People like me? Care to elaborate? I can only assume you mean people who want this game to be as cheater free as possible which would make no sense for them to "screw us"

I'm running a PC straight off the shelf with an integrated card and get at least 20FPS in big cities no modifications, not even over clocking, just nothing but a basic pc. If you're only getting 12FPS then I would start digging around your pc for a problem such as viruses, malware/spyware and so on.

Along with some coding I think he was just overseeing that it was being made the way he wanted it. Which is why there's no need for him when it comes to Beta which he said will be mostly bug fixing since the main mechanics are will be implemented.

The way I see it is you'll get people who just attacking DEVs and the game no matter what game it is, the Internet wouldn't be the same without these types of people. As for Hall leaving, why would anyone care? He wanted to make a game he's done that, he can now leave it to grow into what ever it'll grow into and he can carry on doing what ever he wants.

I don't fully understand what you're asking so if I'm wrong please forgive me. I think you are asking if there's an RCon for DayZ if so then no and you can not ban players from a public server.
