I agree with you when you say they probs wanted to kill him while alt-tabbed. However, the reason people use TS on games with VoIP is 'cuz chatting with the game's VoIP can easily throw away your position to anyone that you can't see, but that is close-by (obviously talkin' about DayZ right now :P)

In the name of the DayZ community, I welcome you all! :D Have fun ;) You need to be careful when logging out on roofs... You (probably) might end up bugged. Also, the number of zeds has increased with the newest patch, which pretty much raises the aggressiveness of zeds... Feel free to explore the forums looking for one of the MANY threads/posts whining about the new zeds ;)

I believe you mean backpack models, and not textures? 'Cuz empty backpacks would be rather thin/slim; that would require modelling, and not texturing ;)

Agreed, to a certain point... Lets say, you get shot in the leg. Your pants get ruined from the shot (and the pants reduced some of that shot's damage). However, EVERYTHING in your pants' pockets also get ruined, which is completely non-realistic (I believe this has already been mentioned in a post somewhere...). If you get shot in the mid-section of the leg, anything in the pockets would remain untouched. Then again... It's Alpha for 'ya ;)
