yep. its horible. i put it up on the sme list of douche moves as hacking.

for the first time today in several weeks, i actually ran into people that didn't DC. and they even had epic gear. like everything, from ghillie to nvg's.

today i looged in for the first time since 1.7.2.x was released. my l85 didn't dissapear. i even reloged in a few times after server crashed/restarted. this is with the ARMA2_OA_Build_95208 patch. i did lose the coyote pack after equiping a ghillie though. i think i should have waited a i bit longer after looting the coyote pack. after i equiped the ghillie it turned into an alice pack.

tents need to be removed, because atm, everyone who spends some time server hopping and farming gear can soon have multiple copies of all the best gear. but this is what happens when a game becomes popular. more popularity, more scumbags playing.

im a bandit who shoots on sight unless people are unarmed. but this kind of stuff i'd never do. you should feel more then a little awful. its a major asshole move.

are you guys making sure to only enter servers with the same beta patch as the one your using? it oculd be that servers with older beta patches delete these items?

you answered your own question. if you always get killed while looting coastla cities, you aren't very good at the game. learn from your mistakes. always think about what you were doing when you got shot. then avoid doing that again. play, play, play. and you will improve, or you will rage quit.
