I just heard today that the friends lists/teammates of a banned hacker can be banned as well, not just the hacker even though his friends don't hack themselves. Is this true? I have a longtime friend on my list who's a huge fuck and I'm certain he hacks. Should if delete him ASAP, does he subject me to bans through association? I played with him for a while until it was obvious he was using various hacks and I haven't played with him since. Does a legit player playing with a hacker who's on his friends list also quality for a ban?

Last Saturday me and a friend met a guy who was using lots of hacks. Speed hacks, aimbot, and some other hack that makes it so you can't take your gun out. He wasn't malicious at all to me and my friend (no idea if he abuses the hacks around others). He just asked if we wanted to see magic tricks, and started warping around playing hollar back girl by Gwen Stefani. I became interested in filming him do that David Blaine speed/warp hack to random people, to record their reactions to his magic tricks. Can normal legitimate players get banned if they are teamed up with a hacker, whether the hacker is malicious and gets reported to BattleEye while around or nice? I have no idea if you can get banned just from another player reporting who was around the hacker, can the whole group be banned even if only one hacks? Or should I just stay away from being around that and report him and get him removed? I feel dirty wondering if the hacker guy should join our group or not, I'd imagine the reactions of others to his magic hacks would be hilarious (if nobody is harmed), but it doesn't feel right at all to me. What shall I do?

First off, my gpu is gtx460m mobile and a i7 processor. Not that great but I tweaked until I had 30fps smooth. I installed the new 337.88 drivers a few hours ago, and am now getting some stuttering in DayZ, along with slight locks up for a second or so. I've never had stuttering/slight lock ups in DayZ before. Which is confusing, since the new Shader Cache feature is supposed to prevent stuttering isn't it? Would keeping it cause any problems in DayZ? Or should I turn it off? I also have Steam launch options/parameters forcing DayZ to use all CPU cores and memory, if that matters. I also have -winxp forced by Steam launch options. Could forcing -winxp be the problem maybe? The -winxp makes me crash from the game if I alt+tab, if that matters. This is the -winxp thing I referred to, if anyone doesn't know what it is. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/ I also have vsync enabled/forced through nvidia control panel set to half at 30fps AND with triple buffering enabled. Also all the texture options in nvidia control panel are set to max, pre render frames at 1 and prefer maximum performance. Do any of those have potential drawbacks in this new driver? Is anyone else experiencing this or can anyone help me kill the new stutters and half a second lock ups?

Did you try turning off that new shader cache to see of it fixed it?

How do I apply to join the rescue forces?

A few months ago I had read in various places that having multiple protector cases (or maybe just one) filled up on your character was causing allot of desync issues. I got rid of all mine and maybe it was just placebo but it seemed to reduce my desync, but others have also claimed that the cases never caused desync in the first place. Has it been fixed in the last few stable patches, specifically in the guaranteed messaging stable patch? Or have rocket or hicks commented on this before? I would like to keep two or three of them on my character but I hate the desync issues. If carrying a protector case will risk me rubberbanding and falling to my death, then I'd rather not have 3 of them in my backpack. Thank you!

The protector cases can randomly go missing, even with stuff stored in them?

What happens if a player ignores the "My leg is in pain/painful" status message after being hit by a zombie? Does it get worse and eventually cause the leg to break, or death? And if so, how much time do I have until it breaks? Didn't seem like the zombie even hit me that hard. My pants quality didn't even degrade. Thank you!

Are the transmitters gone? Can you troll with two walkie talkies the same way? Hello all. I've been searching everywhere for a transmitter to do some trolling but cannot find one. I read that transmitters were taken out and replaced by walkie talkies, is this true? If so, is it the same process setting up walkie talkies for a troll as it was with transmitter? What is ATOC?

Hello all. I've been looking for a transmitter for a long time now, I've searched all places for one but haven't been able to even see one. I've wanted to try it out with a walkie talkie for troll purposes. I've seen a few videos of others doing this, and I want to be able to drop it off somewhere and go find a spot to hide/observe while I play backstreet boys for everyone to hear. But ALL I can find is a ton of walkie talkies. In this video I recently find, the guy shows that a dropped walkie talkie can still play the sounds for all people around. What's the difference between using two walkie talkies in that way, opposed to using the transmitter as well? Does the transmitter not broadcast your voice in direct chat when using a walkie talkie with it? Is there any specific way to set it all up to make ONLY the transmitter play my mic chat/songs? Or can you be always heard from people around your character in direct voice chat as well, and does the two walkie talkie setup also have that ability? Thanks for the help you savages!

I've always thought playing in window mode, or border-less window mode eats up performance. Is this not the case? Does it eat performance if you re-size the window after setting resolution?

Hello all. I am able to get the statuses of hydrated and energized but I have never seen any other status messages. Does it still show a healthy status under the hydrated and energized ones? I'm currently playing experimental. And if it's still in the game, how do I go about getting the healthy status, vitamins and eating more food and drinking? Is being hydrated and energized not enough? Sorry I'm just confused as to why I've never seen that. Thank you!

And do you have to get the "stuffed" status in order to trigger blood and health regeneration and the healthy status, or is it only energized and hydrated thats needed? I always thought the stuffed status was to be avoided.
