That is pretty insane fps for that system.. hard to even believe. most peoples i7's with 3 gig gpus barely even get that.

So me and a friend were coming back from a long journey on a full server. We went from spawns at kamy, up the coast, through all of Berenzino, up the coast to the ship wreck, to NE air field, then back the same route. We got pretty lucky and found lots of weapons on the way, I had a mosin and my buddy had an M4. The trip up there was pretty uneventful (which was surprising as more people have been going to berenzino and up north lately). We did kill 2 half geared guys at the shipwreck that were searching around inside. One had a short range scope for my mosin which was cool, better than nothing. Anyways on the way back as we just got out of berenzino heading back to kamy, we were running low on food. We see this guy running across a field, he had a backpack and some stuff with an axe ect. We take a few shots at him but miss all of them because we had been running and we didn't wait to catch our breath so it was really shaky. This guy... he was zig zagging across the field, then he sees a newish spawn guy at the end of the field.. he then stops and we see him waving and talking to the guy like he forgot he was being shot at.. So we are moving up crossing the field in open sight behind him, and they just stand there talking. I take another shot, and hit him in the ass. He yells to the other guy to run so they book it into town. We go up in town after them but lost them. Seconds later we are walking down past a few houses, and hear them laughing like crazy in the mic chat. So we go in the house and blast one dead the other takes his axe out and swings and we kill him. Score! we got food now. Well as he is dead he proceeds to yell at us for killing him saying we are the cancer of this game and how this game is bullshit blah blah blah. Then after we just laugh at him, he instantly teleports back to us inside the house without any clothes on, white shirt white boxers and starts talking more shit! We kill him again like wtf and seconds later, boom hes there again alive but with nothing on. The third time he says "oh man i dont want to play fuck this game you guys kill it, just kill me again, come on kill me, ect" So, on his first body, he had handcuffs. We handcuff him, hes like "oh my god really?". My buddy has disinfectant, we force feed him the bottle. Once again "what the fuck really? just kill me" then he logs out, comes back unhandcuffed, punching us, we kill him, he teleports back new spawn, so we log out laughing after severely bashing him for being a hacker but complaining about KoS.. Super funny events, I am glad I killed that hacking douche so many times. Thought I would share. TL;DR We killed a guy and his new found friend (kos) for food, and he rages at us for being the cancer of the game for kos, as he hacks and keeps teleporting to us to complain lol. Hacker got mad at a kos. LOL

People don't have to be running every hack known at once to be hacking.. Please tell me the bug you KNOW it to be instead of hacking? You guys have seen this before? The fact he was not surprised at all that he was respawning with no starting gear in the exact same spot inside of a house, tells me it was not a bug. He did it just to lecture me over and over about how I ruin the game, then the last time to try and punch us out.

No you dont understand, 1) he came back within seconds 3 or 4 times in a row inside of the house, with all the doors closed. 2) everytime he instantly came back he was not even wearing the starter clothes, he had nothing. There is no way he can spawn with no starting clothes, 3 or 4 times in a row, inside the same house he died.

Lol those rocks on the way to elektro from kamy right outside of town are deadly killers. I have barely touched them before and been flung off 300km to splat. Needless to say I steer clear of those fuckers.

If you don't share the internet with anyone and the connection is stable it will be fine for you. Even if you ping 100 -150 that is completely playable as long as the connection is stable which with people that have that speed its 50/50 if it will be stable or not. It is nice of him to let you try it out for yourself, that is the only way to get an accurate answer for you. GL hope it works for you.

You can still have internet issues with a decent connection like you have. Yours is very similar to mine, and I see maybe 3 people skipping around over a week (250 hours so far). Sure some times I get a laggy server, but if I see its laggy and it does not go away soon, I switch. Like the guy said, there are many people working on this game, the visuals are easier to slap and add, rather than the guys working on the connection side. Just because they are coming out with new content does not mean they are not working on the other issues. The desync I have noticed is there a lot even without having a yellow or red chain. You have to check on the server player menu (hit p) and see what your desync is at. Most all servers will lag for the first minute or two when you enter them and your desync says 10,000, but like I said that usually goes away rather fast. If you notice yourself getting desync often, try another server, if its on most all servers it might be internet issues or it could just be a problem between you and the game, which is something you will probably have to wait for a fix. All I know is a lot of people I know that play it, usually don't have that much of a problem. I play sniper 90% of the time and rarely ever have hard times getting shots on people due to lag or desync.

Sounds like you have shit internet. Oh and guess what. IT IS ALPHA, jesus christ people. Don't buy a game that is in Alpha when you DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT ALPHA IS.

lol why? wouldn't turning off shadows put you at a disadvantage? I've seen people before LOS because of shadows.. Now turning off grass I agree shouldn't be able to be turned off.

I'm with this guy, I don't know shit about all the TCP or UDP packets ect ect. I don't know if servers magically stopped having lag right after I did this and restarted my pc or what, but after I changed it I have never had weapon bar lag, or lag when using food/water so far. The servers I was having weapon bar lag and stuff on, I always pinged 30-50 and still had that bar/food lag. Now I still ping 30-50 and have never ran into that lag yet. Placebo or not, I'm happy and had no problems what so ever by doing this. Also to you guys who said stuff about it dropping dl speed, before I got 60mb down and 10 up and I still have the exact same speed after.

You can get good smartphones for barely more than the cost of this stand alone these days! Most 6 year olds these days have their own now :(

As a realistic standpoint, no it shouldn't be a challenge. Even these days, (at least here in the US) there are about 100 maps at every gas station, of the towns, state, country, and there is a gas station pretty much every city block. Millions of maps everywhere. Way more maps than there probably would be survivors. Now compasses.. Those you do not see at every gas station or store. They would be far more rare you would think. Making them in pieces does not make sense in either perspective. It is unrealistic, and game wise, it just deters people from even picking up the pieces and using the website map or app. Having a plain map isnt that big of a deal. You can see locations, roads, terrain, ect. You still have no idea is what at any of those places though when you are new. The only thing you know is where they are. You can still go in circles or get lost somewhat, unless you have compass as well.You still have to read signs (which is more like picture matching when you dont know Russian), find and follow roads, landmarks ect. I think they should have full maps, make them more rare than the pieces, and make the compass rare. I think that would be more difficult than now, and more realistic. Now you just find 30 compasses and once you have one you can easily navigate using a website map or app.

Indeed good sir, it is. Games are meant to be fun, and play them the way you want. Everyone has the freedom to do what they like. For me, I didn't buy the game to be a hiking and wilderness simulator. I bought it for the sandbox interactions between people, zombies, and the whole survival idea. Like I said earlier, I did not feel like wandering the lands blindly for hours, days, whatever, until I get the map down in my head. I never used it for loot locations, honestly, I figured they were incorrect anyways.Just to have that basic layout of the area, where the towns were ect.

I'd like to see you all in a zombie apocalypse. "Oh look a map of this area! Should I take it since I don't know this area at all and want to survive?" "NAAAAAH I'll just run around a country blindly until I get it down..."

Yeah I thought of this too and it might suck. Some times you don't even notice zombies chasing you from a long ways away or w/e and could see this happening often. I think it should be, you are still logged in and see the 30 second timer ticking down, and then you log out at the end of the 30 seconds, so you can still react if something comes for you. Then just make it so if your game crashes or you alt F4, your char is still there for 30 seconds with the game closed. So there is still no combat logging, but you can be sure you log out safely instead of just not even knowing if you will log in dead or not.

Yeah sorry. I didn't play the mod or anything and din't want to spend 6 months learning the map just by walking around and exploring blindly.
