This is amazing. Why don't they use this? I want the chill feel, the horror feel, the "What the F***?!" feel. Like I'm going to see a Zed slopping up the face of a corpse in the next couple meters.

That's crap, lend me the equipment I will make the music for free. Ambiance is the soul of a story. Without it, it's just... empty.

Hackers shouldn't have another chance.

This is really diverse. Although I just can't picture the Amur Tiger in Chernarus, it is native to the area and would be a beautiful sight to see on one's journey. I would REALLY love to see Wolves, Bears, and Wild Boars in DayZ. Wolves in PacksBears in pairs, or with cubs, or just aloneWild Boars sniffing the ground, until threatened by enemy presence1 Amur Tiger in Chernarus at a time scouting the woodlands, looking for food and water, and may charge from behindAnything to deter just a little from PvP and focus a little more on PvE, for survival reasons. You can use the meat from these animals for food, as well as the fur to trade to vendors or make clothing, if they implement vendors with supplies.

I'm not saying I would be put off from the game. Are you kidding? DayZ is a revolution, And I will be damned if I don't get to experience the evolution. But added stress was a good point, Ofcourse hunger, thirst, energy, among other things are hard to handle, just some people may not be ready to handle the dangers of every step in DayZ. But me? Bring on the snow, tropical storms, forest fires, tsunamis, floods, heat waves, infection outbreaks. I don't care. I love it.

Which vehicles would you want to see in DayZ?
AsHawkins replied to Nex (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
A motorcycle with a side car would be great. -
Bad close minded vibes man.. Achievements add a bit of spice to a players gaming experience, It can add feelings of accomplishment through the Journey in Chernarus. Sure they are pointless in some aspects, but it's good have a wider horizon of player satisfaction-and personally, I like Achievements.

There's an idea, after 5 minutes birds circle a dead body, then you have 5 minutes to spot that circle and investigate, and maybe you'll find some good loot on a body.

This is a great point. The more stress in a game the less appealing it will be to play, I still give a plus for climates though.

I didn't realize Russia had Boars. That would be so perfect for DayZ. Pissed off boards looking for food like the survivors, but attack everything-by charging.
-
Not only rain. But I would LOVE to see snow implemented in DayZ. Hyperthermia from the HeatHypothermia from the ColdThey already have day and night on real time, let's have seasons too!

Variety and abilities that Zeds could have are endless. It just needs public discussion. Just like adding wolves, cougars, and bears. When I mentioned spiders, I didn't mean a death by spider bite.just treatable illness.

Based on the size of the Helicopter was the range for fuel. When available, They are extremely convenient. I was trying to avoid that, I just wanted a wide range of vehicles to be available for discussion. With buses and sedans multiple people can move at once, and more safely. Motorbikes are good for lone wolves just looking to survive, if they have the gas and a working bike, they can find food and water easily. I also think the noise vehicles make should attract Zeds to the location.

Adding things like this create a diverse gaming experience for everyone, Even when you aren't trying to get achievements. I understand that Rocket wants this game developed as bare as possible. Survival Survival. But it is in Alpha, and if we are going to suggest ideas for DayZ. Now is the time. And if DayZ Nazi's want to be ill constructive, say no, and keep a closed mind about how much potential DayZ has? Too bad. There are creative people out there trying to propose the game of tomorrow. And DayZ deserves it. But I digress - The achievements you have thought of are awesome, I love it.

To add Zeds in heavy numbers to once high populated areas would be so sensible, it has to have already been discussed between developers. I think they should wander the land in packs of 2 - 8. When you're in Cherno as a bandit, you see a barely equipped person around looking for items to survive, but being nimble and not disturbing the the hoard that pulses through the streets. The bandit doesn't realize, when he raises his Mosin, takes in a breath, and pulls the trigger- The streets turn to rage. The struggling human scrambles to patch himself up quickly, as he watches the flood of Zeds swarm the building the bandit lay, He quickly searches for what he can find and leaves Cherno. And the gunfire has stopped-The bandit didn't make it.

Great Game, So Far Encountered In-Game Players Not So Great...
AsHawkins replied to Macovzki's topic in New Player Discussion
I suggested a sanity level. The more you kill, the more paranoid you become. With noises, visuals, random unconsciousness. Ya know? Psycho stuff. -
I love that idea, how horrifying. Let's send chills to those headphone users. Along with screams, there should be Zed roars in the air too.
-
They really should add Hunger-Thirst-Health bars, top left of the character in inventory. Or something of the sort. If not bars, then a percentage. Health - 42%Hydration - 11%Hunger - 56% Health - 10%Hydration - 8%Hunger - 6 % Health - 5%Hydration - 4%Hunger - 2%

Based off of what I've seen, Zeds aren't even an enemy, they're just there! I do know that they are updating the AI soon though, I just wish people would talk more about the Zeds then KoS. I try to think of ways to deter the threat from player to player and make the environment the threat-Including the Zeds.
