OK .. you really need to do some research! First 'update' the mod by visiting the dayzmod DOT com site and clicking on the 'download alpha version' link top of the page. Watch some DayZ videos on youtube, to get an understanding on how to 'play' the Alpha. Secondly the reason you can see outlines of trees and darkness is because you've landed in the DAyZ world ... AT NIGHT! :) Mostly the 'pros' will tell you to go to Options > Video Options > and ramp up your brightness and gamma setting to full! You should now see a bit more (at night) and as long as it is a full moon (usually). Stay OUT of the big cities if you want to survive! Good luck!

Getting the same results as everyone else. Why I post? In my experience 'flush' works momentarily but does not cure the gfx issue. We eagerly await the next development. On another topic, it's nice to see BattleEye getting some 'wins'! Watched a few global bans take place on a server I was visiting! Yay! I fear there's still a long way to go for this 'Alpha' testing phase of DayZ.

Hate to be picky .. oops too late! The Dayz War Beans t-shirt logo is great BUT! 'Sure i'm friendly' should read 'Sure I'm friendly' /me donning flame retardant suit ... ;)

Didn't OFP or ARMA have certain trees that had wooden platforms/hides and ladders to climb? We do need this ingame. A great idea!

Ooh .. witty retort! Fabrix, I see a split of forum posters of around 70-30. The former want to have it fixed 'now now now' or they'll hold their breath till mommy gives in. The latter just want to see the mod succeed and test the balance along the way. Perhaps its more 80-20. Which camp are you in sir? ;) Toodles champ and watch the language, eh? :)

Simple solution. Make a few DayZ servers Friendly Fire OFF! :) Then, no amount of shooting at other survivors will achieve anything! I reckon these servers would remain empty, mostly. ;)

If you are attracting Zombies then you are not 'stealthy' enough. Try a slow crawl. Don't be a target! Also DayZ is in Alpha, so it's all about balance. Sometimes better for us, sometimes for Zombies. Enjoy the ride, avoid the hackers! :)

OK, I've searched this thread titles and can't find a definitive answer. So the question is; Are hackers spawning a crows and using them as UAV? On more than one occasion it appears that a crow is 'following' us. Especially if we have a vehicle. Seems a little paranoid I know but there you are. :) Opinions?
