There is nothing that prevents people from alt+f4ing, but not everyone does this. Saying that Alt+f4 while involved in player interaction == combat logging and that the use of the exit button while involved in player interaction =/= combat logging is ignorant. Also, we're not arguing, we're discussing. A FORUM mechanic that is using the FORUM as intended. (replace forums with game).

Exploit is taking a game mechanic and using it in a fashion that was unintended by the developers or by the game. working a way around the 30 seconds your character stays makes it either a script alteration or a hack. Exploits,script changers, and Hackers are all C-H-E-A-T-E-R-S!

where are you getting this from what I am saying? You completely misunderstood what I am saying. Yea the game is a sandbox, so kos, by definition, is a play style while combat logging, by definition, is an exploit.

The fun in the game is not kos, for me at least, the fun is in the thrill that kos brings. when I am playing Dayz, my heartbeat and adrenalin skyrocket.

I love how you assume I am ignorant and that I KOS for lulz. I play as a hero, the fact that you judge me and stereotype me because of my opinion is too funny. And it is necessary, played on PvE servers on the mod and there is no thrill whatsoever. I hate getting KOS'ed but it is relatively easy to avoid.

the mod had rampant kos, the SA has some kos, but justifying combat logging by avoiding kos is ignorant because it is a necessary evil to make the game fun. Nothing, i mean, NOTHING justifies combat logging.

Combat logging isn't cheating, it is a valid playstyle and everyone does i.... OH WHO ARE WE KIDDING When Rocket mentioned that this game is "flawed", I'm pretty sure this included exploits like combat logging. Trying to justify combat logging is incredibly stupid because it ruins the game FOR EVERYONE! It is like playing doodle or die, an internet drawing game, and having that one asshole scribble random colors instead of actually drawing what was said to draw. Just sad that people still do this, especially as a fresh spawn.

@karmaterror I feel that global chat would be good for people who had access to it after investing time into the server first. this is why having the walkie talkie act as a "global" chat would be great. I feel global chat on private hives should be an option, but it should not be an option on the public hive

do you guys think it would be interesting to have more or less walkie talkie spawns compared with the amount that spawn in now? Also, will radio stations exist and will they have anything to do with the walkie talkie? I'm surprised they implemented this so early, will be interesting to see what happens in the future regarding this. I second this notion, I feel walkie talkie's should be the only means of communicating in a large radius with other walkie talkie users. no more of the smack talk over global chat like in the mod.

One of my friends has been kicked 3 times because of his name, which has no reason to be kicked. Still have yet to report the server because the current report system makes it very difficult to report....or I'm not smart enough.

played the mod, and have had the misfortune of having my experience ruined by one, however, the security on the SA is WAAAAY better because CD keys are (don't quote me on this) non dupliable. So a hacker who is banned may not simply switch CD keys, like in the mod. Never seen a hacker in the SA yet (and I hope I never have to)
