Also on this, we need animals that will fight back if given the opportunity. Do you know how many people each year die to deer, bear, and wolf attacks?

So recently they added a building in Kamyshovo/Kamywobo and something about this building really bothered me. I managed to get a gun before I got any other gear. I realized the building that was added has a gun and ammo spawn and it is visible from the coast. Was this building added in to have yet another coastal gun spawn? I feel there shouldn't be another building added to the game that has a high chance of spawning a gun along the coast. (we already have Balota, Berenzino. Cherno, Elektro, and Rify.) What do you guys think? (I'll post this and address it later, have to be somewhere).

there has been a recently added building to the town of kamyshovo/kamywobo that has a very high chance to spawn a rifle. This makes kamyshovo/kamywobo yet another town that has coastal gun spawns and I feel that it should not be there because we already have lots of coastal locations that already have high gun spawn rate (towns stated above). I have yet to play there, I should try it out sometime

he said mods that added "a shit tone of military spawns"

Back to the seriousness of the topic, I feel finding a high powered rifle or any sort of military weapon should not have more coastal spawns. The only reason I'm ok with Balota's existence is: 1. it's from Arma II 2. it keeps some pvpers distracted, letting players who are new to the game have time to at the very least get off the coast. (hopefully not elektro) I feel there are already many ways to get a gun off the coast, but adding more opportunities feels silly in my opinion.

They should make it so whatever is said into the mic transmits in game automatically.

Hunger Isn't an issue. And it should be,

Then I think the same method that applies to restarts not affecting log in time can fix this. But then there is the question on admins restarting just so they will not have to eat upon logging back in <_< Unrelated, I feel admins who restart their servers separate from their designated schedules should provide a report as to show why they needed to restart. -

I found an abandoned house inland and there was so much food in there that if I attempted to eat it all I would be close to vomiting in game. I have never had a fear of starving, except the time when I tested out the vomit effects with my friends... -
What do you think full modding support will do to DayZ
helcol replied to Jex's topic in General Discussion
I support modding, however, it needs to be monitored and approved by the devs before granted access. Same rule should apply to private servers deviating from the vanilla Dayz experience (to prevent micro transactions in a survival game *facepalm*) -
Good point, but I feel any attempt to prevent this will only lead to problems for the devs and the players who identify with that character's race.
-
The downside I see to this (someone else said this in another post) is that people will find the perfect background and then you will see only that background.

Is it meant to permanently cure people of ever getting sick again?

The Elektro militia will now have aim worst than a drunk storm trooper.

but not a gun, in my opinion, I would most likely "throw" the damn thing into the water to have a harder experience. But I would not be opposed to the idea of having melee weapons and tools given as a starting item.

The pain of spawning with tactical bacon and having no means of eating its content. OH THE HUMANITY!

regardless, most people (I assume from what I've seen) tend to go back to the place they died in a previous life. They would go back to where they died, pretend to be a "harmless" fresh spawn and proceed to knock out the individual who took some of his/her gear. NLR is, in RP games, a bannable offense, I highly doubt that it will be a bannable offense in the SA. But, the idea of having an unenterable radius outside the previous death, if done correctly, will be a way to enforce NLR w/o getting people banned. I have a feeling, however, that many would hate this concept. No more running to Electro Syndrome.
-
NLR (new life rule), not sure whether or not it should be enforced...
-
do you have the Electro syndrom? (jk) If I ever die on a server, I tend to just go to some other part of the map. The map is big enough, why should I go back to the one place that houses my old life?

Modding is good and yes Dayz would not be a SA without the mod. But the sad news is that people are already doing exploits in the SA that were abused by the admins in the mod. All I know is that if people are given the easy way out, a large majority would do so and be OK with it. The problem is not for the most part the modders, it is the admins who take the mods and turn them into terrible things that dampen down and destroy the experience for everyone else. -

Added some other BS I saw in the mod. -

Also, I feel abusing the amount of vehicle and weapon spawns and spawning with weapons should be controlled to an extent. After all, we already spawn with, in my opinion, the third best melee in the game. tl;dr: Fist OP! -

I acknowledge that there are really good modders out there who create unique experiences in Dayz. The problem with that is that people are not pure in their modding practices, proven in the mod. I was playing epoch with some of my friends and we ended up dying because a man (who we assume was friends with an admin). Was sweeping the map with a fully functional Apache helicopter, he/she killed every single person in our group. also, unrelated, we had all our gold and briefcases taken by a hacker in the mod -_- -
Today, I have run into people going into a secluded area and duping everything that was hard to find. I even had times when I, and probably others here, have accidentally duped their gear. Should these individuals who "farm" this gear, if their identity on steam is discovered, be reported for this exploit? I know the dev's are clearly aware of this issue and I know this is alpha!! I am curious if there is any planned punishment for exploiters? To my knowledge, we were able to pretty much stop ghosting, but more things keep popping up left and right, good thing these are all being found in the alpha stage.
