Yeah, I'm hoping the loot respawn will take care of that balance.

I think cars/vehicles will spice things up a bit. Apart from the NW airfield, I never run into player inland. Survival on its own isn't challenging if you're on a server that resets often. It remains to be seen what loot respawning will do; if they stop restarting servers every hour then it could get interesting. All this hunting stuff is great if you're into it, but I don't see it being required at all for survival. Basically, once you've stuffed your gut after looting the nearest town, you just need a Pipsi every 20 minutes to stay in good shape.

Everyone is friendly once the tables are turned. He probably would have talked trash on his mic if he had better aim and killed you.
-
I think vehicles need to come out sooner rather than later. Walking around the entire map is getting a bit tiresome. I'm betting that's why people stay on the coast so much; if you walk 10 minutes inland your chances of seeing other players drops fast.

Is there any music you can play and people won't shoot you?

Glitch abusers have found their way into the appartments now..

I used to love PVPing in the apts, but now it's just a magnet for all the glitchers. -
To be honest, just surviving in the woods is too easy to actually be fun for me. I just eat/drink until I'm healthy, and then I just try to find a soda can every 30 minutes or whatever. I even stopped carrying food on me. The only part I find fun is when you start off, and you're in rough shape. Being hungry and unarmed can be challenging even on empty servers, with the fast zombies.

I snuck up behind a server hopper in NE, and shot him in the back twice with a sawed off. Everything he had was completely ruined. I thought that probably made sense in that scenario.
-
First player I killed was a guy just running around in a remote village looting buildings. He attracted a good 3-4 zombies and while he was dealing with them I shot and killed him. I felt a bit bad after, but it was the first time I saw another player while I had a gun. I mostly shoot everyone now.

Pretty much everyone is on the east coast.

I'm not a huge fan of the 1911, solely due to the smaller clip size. I found at least 5-6 engraved ones, but I find the regular one prettier. Pearl handles are for princesses.
-
Yeah, it is frustrating. Can other players see you during that time?
-
Shoot him in the leg.
-
Look for servers that say "KOS = kick". You're 100% safe there.
-
I'm normally a big fan of the SKS, but last night I shot a few people 3-4 times and they didn't drop. I think it might have been some desync though.

Seeing through walls glitch -- also goes for shooting?
Scofflaw replied to miqueloz's topic in General Discussion
I think he meant when people glitch into walls. I think the OP meant just leaning against/shooting through walls. I never tried shooting, but yesterday I was in the bathroom of an apt complex, and I got shot in the head out of the blue. I think someone might have leaned in the wall and shot from behind.. -
I have >230 hours, and I finally ran into a press vest earlier this morning. It was badly damaged so I didn't bother picking it up. Sometimes things are rare.

You are Dead at the N W A F Fire station tower
Scofflaw replied to Boxer23's topic in General Discussion
Same thing happened to me in a school building outside the NE airstrip. I was climbing up to the roof and all of a sudden I heard a grunt and my legs were broken. I didn't fall or anything, they just broke. I crawled down one floor and found a morphine injector. Never been that lucky before or since then. -
I've been having some good times on those rooves. I could pvp for hours up there.
-
This is basically how it should be. Anything that gives players the ability to kick/ban tends to be abused. I'd say a good 50% of the time I die I have no idea where the other guy was. It's easy for me to say hacker, but it's mostly just snipers and my lack of skill.
-
What about players getting killed by zombies? Spawn areas would be almost unplayable. Even now, when you spawn in those NE cities, you can get quickly overrun.
-
meh, I've been shooting everyone in berezino since we all started spawning there. I've been killed multiple times too. What else are we going to do?
-
I know it's frustrating, but maybe the zombie was walking somewhere (there are some that wander in that area), and just saw you. Why he wasn't going after the guy who shot with the mosin isn't quite clear. I don't think they'll focus on this one little problem right now and halt all forward momentum until that's done. Every release removes bugs, and ends up creating more. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.

Afternoon gents, I've had a busy few hours in Berezino. I must have killed a good 10 people so far, maybe 50% of them had guns. I've killed a bunch of fresh spawns, but it seems to me like they're not looking for help from me. I spotted a fresh spawn nearby, told him I wasn't going to shoot him, lost sight of him, then next thing I know he's running towards me full speed. I shot him twice in the chest. I've had a steady stream of fresh spawns run towards me, one managed to knock me out with his fists before he died from my shots (a little desync on both our ends I imagine?). I don't consider myself a bandit or hero; I only usually shoot armed people, and don't bother looting them since I aim for the chest to be safe. People on this forum complain a lot about KOSers, so how do those people handle these close encounters? Why wouldn't you shoot a fresh spawn unless he's far away or running in the opposite direction?
-
Do you shoot pros too? I'll join a shoot-everyone party.
