Our Sins (Yes plural) happened last friday, Danger Ranger and I were on the experimental servers looting the best we could in our run through towns. Sin 1.) Danger Picked up the new pitch fork and we ran into a couple of Fresh Spawns in Dolina. regardless of my suggestions he really had to try it out on human flesh. What ensued was craziness because my Mosin that I picked up in the Piano house had yet to have any ammo and all I had was the pipe wrench. Eventually we learned the pitch fork is good against zombies and fresh spawns. all we got was a backpack out of the deal. Possible Sin 2 you decide.) This one may not be a Sin but as we made our way to Polana we had to eat and drink. We always take turns guarding while one is at the water pump. I was in my hiding spot and out of nowhere came another fresh spawn who raised his fists at Danger and went to attack. I Yelled "STOP" Get on the ground with my ammo less gun. the intruder stopped and obliged. Pointing guns at people scare people I LOVE it I bluffed him. While he was laying down we both aggressively pummeled his body into unconsciousness and then slowly into death. To me this was self defense but since he didn't take a swing we were the first to hit. Definite Sin, [maybe my crown Jewel] 3.) I went total psychopath on this one. Wandering around Novy we were in the barn and heard some shots. Each of us took a look out at a door and decided to stay still and keep an eye out because it was obvious the shots were not at us because we were out of sight when it happened. I spied a fully kitted individual running towards the orange house. hearing feint local chatter it was easy to discern that the shots were at another human who was now mumbling something. So we snuck our way to the orange house and each took a doorway when we entered to attack. While we were attacking, two zombies came into the house and we all went after the zombies. Wer managed to convince him that we mistook him for a zombie and apologized for the attack (Yes an obvious lie) Looking at the kitted person with a mosin and a handgun in his hand a short conversation ensued while I judged the situation, we had a pitch fork and a pipe wrench and a mosin with no ammo. The guy then asked if we needed anything as he knew the servers were looted almost all the time. I asked if he had any extra mosin ammo. I mostly assumed he wouldn't be that stupid as to hand me over any rounds but he said "here all I have is 10" at that point I decided one was all I needed. Danger Kept talking to him about where he came from and if he's seen anyone else. While I loaded my mosin and took aim at the unsuspecting person's head. BLAM! I now had all his ammo and a fire axe and Danger had what he needed besides his kids backpack. This person learned a valuable lesson about giving anyone any ammo. I am more than positive I deeply affected his psyche and at min he will never give anyone any rounds ever again.

No not complete control 1.) It's $70 USD a month 2.) You can control Time only and MOTD stuffs 3.) Server rules from the game makers say it can't be private so where you rent one won't allow you to be private. 4.) If you try to make it NO KOS or kick people on entering for loot purposes you risk yourself having the IP banned if you're reported and losing your monthly money. I got mine from gameservers.com but cancelled because well at $70 a month it's expensive to have them dictate how you run your server and help test an alpha game. Totally not worth it to me...Might be for you though.

For fun this weekend we ran naked in Elektro and it really is shoot anything that moves there. Just to shoot something. No purpose. Not for loot, not for anything other than watching death. Nobody Comes out of their hiding spots and waits for some unsuspecting person to come to where they are. There is hardly any movement anywhere. They also think it's "smart" to close the doors of building their in as people will think it's not looted. Yeah noobs will go but Pros don't. it's a sure sign somebody is in there especially in Elektro. We literally ran around the streets for 20 minutes non stop and took fire from all over and only got hit a few times from people who could aim. I literally starved to death one run without anyone hitting me but they all kept shooting.

Nope right now Trial and error. I've spent many a bullet practicing with zombies at a distance and playing with the range function.

The Pitch fork in experimental is great for taking out zombies. it's like 3 4 hits max. Just a step under the wood splitter axe. We also tested that it's pretty good at taking out humans too.

Playing on Experimental it seems that they're on 4 hour restarts with about 3 hours of Daytime play and an hour of night before a restart. Hit one with a time that's sunny and you're probably going to find stuff. I've found the town south of Vybor untouched, the military base just a little SE of Vybor untouched twice. Also it doesn't' matter where I play (experimental or not) the west side of the map from north to south is hardly ever touched. nobody goes there. The farthest west they go is Balota and the farthest north from there they go is Balota.

Hardly anyone takes responsibility for their own failures or mistakes in real life why would a game be any different?

WOW I had to re this thread twice just to ensure that the level of stupidity of OP was judged correctly. Who cares what a fresh spawn does, and why do they need to be punished for playing the game. there is this thing called running away (it's a double tap of the w key). They have no food and you might they need to eat. If that's not survival I don't know what is. Maybe if you stayed out of their sight they wouldn't run up to you and try to punch you. Case in point Danger and I were jogging the coast inside the tree line watching new spawns all running down the road. We never got approached once. Then we saw two fully geared tards also running out in the open in the road and decided to teach them a lesson about being in sight. I managed to snipe one from about 300 meters away with the PU scope and Danger and I headed down through Solnichiny staying low and behind houses to STAY OUT OF SIGHT, both from the silly people doing silly things but also from the other possible snipers at "that awful corner" (You know which one I am talking about you pros ;) ) needless to say because we stayed out of sight the other dude didn't even see us coming and was also a corpse after a quick exchange of bullets. When we checked their stuff all they had in their huge mountain backbacks was rotten fruit, alcohol tincture, disinfectant, and other tools for picking on fresh spawns. I'm not saying I am a hero for shooting somebody on sight but what I am saying is that these geared dudes (sometimes myself included) do horrible things to new spawns. so their attacking is also justified. Learn how to play better.

Actually for our Canadian players it could. All the ISPs (at least in Ontario) have some kind of bandwidth cap except for some of the higher priced packages. This means 800 megs just to play experimental comes at a cost of switching back and forth.

This would be awesome in the game! I agree! Clean your guns. for the M4 etc you'd have to dismantle it and clean the parts individually. on top of the cleaning kit you might have to use a ripped up rag etc to clean the barrel of the gun. Rags wouldn't be about just bandages anymore. The weapon cleaning kit would require you to put a rag in it before dragging to the gun piece to clean.

Like my second spawn. was checking a warehouse in solnichiny got snuck up on by two bandits and handcuffed then shot in the head.

I ran into people shooting from the walls on my server. Since it was a low pop with friends I identified them easy and Kicked them. I was lucky I only came out with a great screen and bleeding after I ran out quickly. I don't mind if I get killed by legitimate means but this is truly sad to wait inside a wall until somebody comes in. Why don't they just wait in the hallway near the stairs? Oh right they're chicken shit and don't want to get shot.

Indeed! Awesome Ideas. Things that would make it work. Stealth really works on zombies and when crouched it would have to be really really hard to hear for other players (feint) but maybe slow you down a tiny bit more. Maybe a toggle between a quick crouch for combat and a stealth crouch.

I got tortured so much as a fresh spawn that they drove me insane to the point of "paying it forward" in hopes one of the fresh spawns I get to torture with my insane ideas are the ones who got me. Case in point. Second Fresh spawn an hour into the game I got handcuffed from behind my pants stolen and shot in the face for looking for shit. It's not even the armed players. unarmed players just run up and punch. At the end of the day Fuck it do what you want and spread that karma like the plague in the middle ages.

All things that have been brought up a million times. Most of which is coming with some patience.

Nope. I love seeing it grow from it's infancy and happy to be part of it. Even though I never played the MOD (and think it's helped my position). Some of the bugs are downright hilarious too!

No KOS servers are like the female G-Spot to some if not most men. They don't exist. If you find it you're lucky. As stated earlier it's against the server rules. Kind of why I stopped my server. $70 a month to get dictated how you run your shit. You're literally paying more than the alpha price just to help test the game. If it's in the title stop fooling yourself that it's really like that. Head down to elektro in order to have a really really quick lesson in the fact they don't exist.
