    Spawning noise?

I thought the old bug where the person logging in would play the reload sound of their weapon was actually a very effective way of preventing people doing ninja spawn ins and being able to flank or appear behind a player. (especially when you could ghost very easily) Its pretty ridiculous for you to secure a building completely and then have some guy spawning in behind you and nailing you, with the only possible warning being yourself carefully looking at player counts. Considering this is supposed to be a survival game it makes little sense to reward people for spawning in what used to be certain death areas as they are now totally silent and stand a reasonable chance of catching someone with their pants down. To me its like everyone is trained in Vietcong infiltration tactics being able to tunnel behind your arse. Normally you can get lucky and catch the cheeky twats by killing them as they are logging in. Perhaps in the future not being able to log/log off in buildings should be considered. Buildings often glitch you anyway when you log off and although combat logging is far rarer than it what it used to be people will often run into large buildings and log somewhere before you can get to them. This would mean you cant get ninjad once you secure a building and people cant hide and log in buildings which force you to carefully clear them out in the event that they didn't log out and instead are camping.

    I found a flashbang...

Pessimists on this forum, they have said multiple times they are working on the zombie numbers, according to the last couple of dev blogs. they are hoping in exponentially increasing zombie numbers in the near future. Have some faith people.

    Would They Do It Again?

I really don't understand some of the complaints about lack of upcoming content. To me it seems with the recruitment of a lot more staff new features and assets are getting put into experimental and stable every major patch. Vehicles were not even talked about a couple of months back yet we already have a model and mechanics on the near verge of going experimental. (end of the year I would assume) Considering what this game was 1/2 a year ago it has expanded leaps and bounds. I remember when the game wasn't much more than death match in electro using Glitched buildings and Mosin +m4 combos, with entire dupe brigades copying gear in full ttsko gear. Now no such thing exists anymore. If you feel that the game is getting nowhere just play something else for the near future, I took a few months off a while back and when I returned there was a seemingly gigantic amount of content added to mess around with. Things are speeding up people, don't get all mad that they cant do everything in a couple of weeks.

    I have a dream!

I know the feeling man, stick to only trusting people you know outside of the game, aside from unusual circumstances.
  5. Ignore the troll attempt, pics or It didn't happen.
  6. I would think simply changing what the crash sites spawn would solve the problem, currently they spawn mainly useless trash diluting the chances of finding anything good.
  7. Gave it a shot at an mi-8 I found, found nothing extra aside from the usual crappy clothing. Smersh Vests will be the death of me D:
  8. Could you perhaps elaborate on said creative methods XD
  9. So, after searching for hours for mi-8 crash sites (only found 4 so far) it seems pretty irritating for them to have civilian clothes and a hat. Considering the rarity of helicopter crash sites they should perhaps not spawn such a large variation of lower tier gear so that the chances of finding a true gem such as a Smersh Vest are somewhat more realistic to find. (although not guaranteed) Don't take me as a hater of helicopter crash sites, if anything I love them representing the high tier military equipment, I just wish they didn't spawn useless stuff as well. would make them far more valuable and thus fought over. (rather than the static military sites which become camp sites for snipers) To me helicopter crash site fights are the most dynamic, sudden and most rewarding fire fights compared to some camping fight in a prison at Balota. Following on the same subject any news on what they are going to do with the mi-8 crash sites? they are far more difficult to spot than the Blackhawk as they are sunk into the ground, have a rusty appearance which makes them difficult to spot in foliage and most obviously they don't have a smoke trail. 2 of the Mi-8 I was lucky enough to find I almost literally stumbled upon, elusive buggers.

    Listening skills...

I can understand his attempt to shoot you, I have been approached by many people claiming to be friendly, but as soon as I stand still they then put a bullet in my face. I guess its a stratagem to make you stand still so they can cleanly kill you. (and thus get loot)
  11. Isnt the SVD supposed to essentially replace the Mosin as the sniper (albeit far rarer)

Tents dissappearing or looted within half a day

Are you sure you were on a persistent server? I have had my tent up for several days now, so far not discovered.
  13. It seems like equipment cannot absorb zombie hits as much, our team at the NW had to end of shooting zombies on sight, as a single hit caused bleeding and caused a real shortage on bandages. (the server was a little unstable/laggy though) Personally I think it makes zombies a little more dangerous, although the critical hit bug they seem to have is still annoying.

    There's too many items

One side effect of this though is that the dupers are going to have a field day. Picturing pass worded servers full of tents with duped gear for clans to retrieve after they yolo charge Berazino.
  15. So yeah, playing on hardcore for a bit of yolo in Berazino. Getting really irritating fps drops that seen to correlate with players in the area, basically makes the game unplayable and only seems to occur when I have been playing for a while, leading me to suspect cooling issues. Either that or my hardrive (which is on its way out) is bottlenecking my otherwise reasonable system. I understand Arma isn't very well optimised, but surely my specs should run the game with no problems. Anyone else having this issue? Specs: XFX AMD 6870 Graphics card (HD-687A-ZHFC) 8 Core AMD 8150 8 core processor. 6GB RAM Running Windows 7 64 Bit.
