    Can this PC run DayZ?

My daughter's laptop has similar specs except it has a separate NVidia card, still one of those mobile ones but even with that we can only run everything on low, and it still runs like crap. Laptops (especially for DayZ SA, which is far from oprimised) are very cost-ineffective. For the same $ you can build a cheapish PC which will run DayZ SA much better than this laptop. If you have to only have a laptop, then I'd at least look at something wtih a separate gfx card, not sure if you'll find anything like that which is in your pricerange.

    0.54 Issues

Yup our persistence crapped out on our private hive after the maintenance too, lucky we picked as much as we could beforehand.

Hey guys does anyone know (or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place) whether tonight's maintenance will wipe persistent states on private hives?

    DayZ Vehicles (first implementation)

We were lucky enough to find two trucks between the 3 of us last night. It still lags quite a bit when you're a passenger but I think I edited most of it out. Two trucks in a convoy through Chernarus is pretty sweet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63-908K2eJY
  5. Me and few of my mates spent a couple of nights searching for tents and the two tents that I found were in the same room (albeit different buildings) and on the same floor. Here is where I found mine just in case anyone else is struggling to find one: - Go to Cherno, Novoselky or Dubky - Go to any tall apartment building (the one where you have to climb up the ladder first) - Once you get off the ladder go up 1 set of stairs - Enter the 2nd apartment from the left like here: And it might be in this room here - the other time I foudn it in this same room it was sitting on top of the bed:

    Do you consider this glitching?

    Good point!

Trouble finding tents sonce .49 stable patch

Yup can also confirm check the tall apartment buildings at the very top.

    Do you consider this glitching?

Hey while I appreciate your input and I am somewhat relieved that more people dont consider this glitching - it was not my intention to start bagging the game. I do understand this is an Alpha and I accept that all sorts of bugs and glitches are part of the process.

    Do you consider this glitching?

No I don't get anymore desync when I do it compare to when I don't. Perhaps I just haven't got to the point where it makes any difference. And I appreciate your view on this.

    Do you consider this glitching?

I did try to find a similar topic, my apologies if this has already been raised (I'm sure someone will promptly point this out). As most of you are probably aware you can infinitely (well I haven't found a limit yet anyway) store items inside other items, inside other items, as long as you understand what can be stored and in what order the items need to be added, etc. My question is - does anyone consider this glitching i.e. my interpretation of glitching is exploiting an existing bug to gain an unfair advantage. There is ofcourse a downside to this method as it takes forever to find anything as well as risking server restarts and zombie attacks while you have all your gear laid out on the ground. I do like to run around and feed the hungry and I often come across groups of bambis. Carrying enough burlap sacks, ropes and other bambi gear to help say 2 people is not too difficult but anymore and becomes problematic. So I've been collecting 6 pocket pants, jackets, yellow containers (although that is a legitimate storage item) and nesting them which allows me to carry shitloads of gear. Then when it's time to perform my humanitarian duties I just drop the "top level item" and extract all items that are stored inside. Ofcourse other players with hoarding tendencies can use this to store insane amounts of whatever they want, jackets, vests and pants all take up less space when stored. I'm sure that the glitch of being able to add items to an empty piece of clothing which is already in your backpack (or anywhere else) will be fixed but until then - what are all your thoughts on this moral dilemma? Is this a shameful act and anyone that does this is a glitching asshole, or would this be considered as one of the perks of this still being an Alpha? For those that still don't know what I'm talking about, here is a quick video I've just uploaded. Although in reality you only do this with pants and jackets as the containers are pretty hard to come by. ***************REMOVED***************

How To Help A Stranger In DayZ Standalone

Hahaha dude that sucks balls but your reactions are priceless. But yeah usually if they have a squeeky voice - dont help them. I dont like KOSing personally but that would be an exception if they came too close. Dont let this choir boy ruin your dayz experience and stop helping people.

    A Guide to having FUN

I find that doing that gives you the opposite ends of the spectrum at the same time, You either get shot straight away because you cannot retaliate or you get ignored completely because you pose no harm. But yup if you are out to talk to people having no gear definitely helps a lot.

Can you trust a stranger with a loaded gun?

Yeah nah I hear that, and in RL I would definitely take a similar approach to what you are suggesting. In DayZ however it seems that many have never even considered the "communication" aspect of the game. Dont get me wrong, i'm far from a "we're all children of mother nature" type of person, in fact - fuck hippies and their peaceful ways. But as an exception, less mindless violence in DayZ (for me anyway) made for a much better experience.

Can you trust a stranger with a loaded gun?

haha nice. My wife had the same experience the other day. These guys were yelling for her to come out or theyll shoot - as soon as she said shes friendly on proximity chat, oh suddenly they were very friendly, here have some food, have this canteen, where are you from, etc... women have it easy, we have to fight/scavenge for our shit.
