If they're going to add Russian WW2 guns then they should also add German guns from the time, like the MP40, since Germany had occupied the Czech Republic area for the bulk of the war. I'm all for more guns, but I think the next weapon(s) they add will be the crossbow and/or bow and arrow. -
I've actually met quite a few squeakers in the game and not everyone has a mic, so I'd imagine that there are a lot of them playing the game. They're definitely not the majority since this isn't CoD, but I'm sure there a plenty of "very young" people. I most likely wouldn't have the room in my inventory or the time to bother reading your journal if I kill you, especially if the server/area is highly populated.

The first thing I'm doing when I finally get home is launching the stable branch and searching for the new SKS rifle and ammo for it... and hopefully I might actually find a machete if it's actually been added. -
They're going to add the GPS in a future update, but I'm not going to find it very useful since I always have the map open on my other moniter from dayzdb.com and my compass is always useful if I'm somewhat lost in the forest. The maps that you find in game are completely useless when they're only partial maps and it takes too long for it to load the map in game.

That is a very cool gun, but I'm not sure how common it would be in an Eastern European country. They would obviously have to add the .410 shotgun shells, but they really need to bring back the 12 gauge slug rounds. I never got a chance to try them out with my shotgun before they disappeared.

I said yes to both questions, but I would like to add that there should be a high chance that the loot is in ruined condition and if you're lucky it will be damaged or badly damaged. Remember any loot you find on them had been carried by a walking, rotting corpse.

Yes, this wouldn't happen until at or after food preparation is added and I think reducing your character's energy a couple hours after drinking caffeinated drinks can happen by simply having an unseen timer wait until that time and then reduce your character's energy, like how they've added that "energized" status to the latest update when your character is well fed.

I'm assuming this nothingness is just white space and you can walk out there in the standalone or do you fall off? Also, what about the water, does it also end and turn into nothingness?

Funny Event: Munchkin sings the lollipop guild song

I wasn't new to the game when this happened, but I was a freshly spawned bambi on the coast between the factory and Nizhnoye and I encountered a group of six fully armed people heading south on the road. They stopped and greeted me and I noticed that one of them had a high pitch voice and sounded like a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz, so I ask her: "are you a munchkin?" She replies with a yes and offers to sing the munchkin song, so all seven of us gathered in a circle, put our hands in the air and leaned left and right while she sung "we represent the lollipop guild." It was very funny and afterwards the munchkin told me to kiss her ass, so I crouched and did so while saying in the Smeagle voice: "ooooh, she has our precious, the brown ring!" They then wanted me to sing a song, so I sung the South Park parody song "follow the only road" (which makes fun of Canada, because it's the only road in Canada). Afterwards I asked for a reward and the munchkin was nice enough to hand me her sawed off shotgun with some shotgun shells. After that many of them were "offering" to break my legs, telling me that it would benefit me. Of course I declined, knowing what it's like to fall off of a very small building and have my legs break. I move on and head north only to encounter them again in Nizhnoye, but they think I'm someone else and one of them shoots me. I run away, go behind a building and bandage myself up. They catch up with me again ask for the shotgun and I tell them that the munchkin gave it to me, they then realize that it was me and one of them asks why I don't have the same t-shirt. I give him the obvious answer that the t-shirt can't carry anything in it, so I had put on the first grey hoodie that I found. One of them was nice enough to give me a saline bag to replenish some of my blood, but right afterwards another member of their group kills me with the fire ax. Another chick in the group then calls that person an asshole and one of them attempts to bandage my dead body in hopes that I was merely unconscious. That had to have been the funniest and strangest group of players I encountered in DayZ. -
What apocalypse movies have military supply drops? I've seen quite a few apocalyptic movies and I've never seen any with military supply drops. Usually the military and other governments are too busy to fight off the apocalypse (zombies) than to bother trying to help other countries. Supply drops are for war zones or are for people stuck in 3rd world oppressive countries, like when East Germany existed. I like the suggestion that there might be old supply drops, but to see new ones being dropped just seems a little far fetched, especially if they contain any guns.

Nope, I've searched everywhere and I can't find one. I find hard hats of varying colors, children's brief cases (backpack), down jackets, SKS, etc., but it seems that the Machete is like the forest berries and they don't actually exist in game yet. -

I'm fine with losing all of the guns and gear I worked for if it's from a legitimate battle, but not if it's from a glitch. I'm guessing that this "you are dead" glitch in the experimental branch has been fixed, but I didn't want to risk losing all 4 of my guns, ammo, medical supplies, etc. -

No, I was just playing the stable branch of the game with my fellow clan members and it works just fine. I dare not try the experimental branch until we've confirmed that the "you are dead" glitch has been fixed. -

I haven't seen any new posts about whether or not people are still stuck on the "you are dead" screen and they lose everything in the stable version. Has that been fixed yet or is this AM patch happening later? I don't even want to play DayZ right now because I don't want to lose everything that I worked for. -

This is great news. I can't wait to use the spray paint on my guns without worrying about losing ammo capacity and trying out the new SKS and machete! One question: when is the experimental update expected to be released? It says that it will become stable by Feb 7, but not exactly when the experimental is released. Will it be on Monday Feb 3 or some other day? -
There was one time when a bambi tried to attack me with their fists and all I had was a pipe wrench. He obviously wasn't as good or as accurate at punching and couldn't get one hit on me, so I knocked him out with my pipe wrench and left him for the zombies.

The problem with that is my teammates wouldn't have heard me from that distance. I was at the top of the air traffic control tower in a sniping position and they were pretty far. Plus, if I were to talk in game it could give away my position to other hostile players. I've also found teamspeak very useful for meeting up with fellow clan members who were far away, otherwise it would be damn near impossible. -

First of all, f*** the UN and their globalist agenda! Second, no, just no! Something like that would subtract from the realism and it's not like actual UN soldiers can't get shot in real life. -
Now those I like. I'm pretty sure they'll be adding improvised gas grenades and fire grenades, because I saw 3d objects of said items.

I sure as hell wouldn't want this to be prevented, because I use it all the time with fellow clan members. Just last night we were looting the NW airbase, I was providing sniper support from the ATC and someone shot at me and hit the window, so I alerted the others and we killed the bandit. That is just one of many examples when I found teamspeak to be vital. -
In my experience I've found the pipe wrench to be pretty decent for killing zombies, but I don't think I've killed any humans with anything besides the various guns and two different axes.

I've found a game breaking bug at the school admin building in Vybor that made my character run off the roof of the building, instantly killing himself. I all of the sudden had no control over my character when they started sprinting and fell off the roof. I know there's nothing wrong with my keyboard because this has happened twice and only at the Vybor school admin building and no where else. To make things worse I had almost everything I needed or wanted. I had a Mossin, sawed off shotgun, revolver, FNX45, plenty of ammo, a black military beret (rare) and I had literally just found a compensator for my Mossin at that very same building. To add insult to injury I even had a morphine injector, so had my character survived the fall from two stories I would have been able to heal my legs. Please reduce the amount of fall damage in the game. If I fell off a two or three story building in real life it would hurt a lot, but it wouldn't kill me. Zombie bites don't seem to kill, but falling off a short building does? I thought this game was supposed to be somewhat realistic. Also, please fix this extremely frustrating bug that had killed two of my healthy, fully armed characters for no good reason. This bug makes me not want to play the game again because there's nothing worse than spending several hours getting your character perfect with the best gear in the game only to have them killed by some stupid bug. It makes no sense that falling from one story breaks your legs and falling from two stories instantly kills you, so at the very least reduce the fall damage.

I would understand if my character's legs broke or he got injured pretty badly from a two story fall, but the only way he would have died from a drop that far was if he landed on his neck and broke it. Seeing as how our characters always land on their feet when they fall I don't see this as a likely occurrence. I really hope that the fall damage is just a "place holder," but how hard can it be to adjust something like this? All it would really take is changing a couple variables or global constants in the code and problem solved (at least with the fall damage).
