I I don't. I have always felt a naturally tendency to help people, be it in video games or real life. I don't go out of my way to run to the coast and help people every time I log on, but I'll help people in need if they need it.

I'm surprised he didn't shoot you. Every time you were around the shooter would magically know where he was. I wouldn't have hesitated to put a few rounds in your guy.

Welcome to the DayZ forums; where the game's story is your own, (unless it's different from mine, then it's wrong). Keep doing what you're doing OP. if you enjoy it, then more power to you. For the rest of you, if you enjoy KoSing or Banditry, then also more power to you. So long as we're all enjoying the same game. All the play styles in this game need the others to exist. Otherwise this is just Arma death match with zombies in the way. -

Where are you guys getting the definitive "Infected" style zombie from? Did they confirm this? In this video they mention doing animations for zombies with broken necks and spines. And as stupidly simple and boring as that sounds, why would it affect you?

And if it's on a private server, dictated by the host's rules, why would it matter to you? That's what fails to make sense to me. Like I said, I don't want it to detract any progress from what the game is going to become, I just don't see why everyone goes up in arms over it. Especially when it has no effect on you. Some people like to play survival in Minecraft, some like to play Creative and just build. Neither one effects the other.

I tend to stick to the woods and sneak around alone a lot, but love player interaction when I can find friendly people. I guess I'm a friendly hermit type lol. Only KoS'd once, and it was a fresh spawn I saw run up and attack a player who was drinking water. Not sure if that's technically KoS though. I also never back stab other players teamed with me, but I don't trust them much or hang around for long. Sooner or later I log out before they can do me in.

I would probably never put much time in a PvE server, but why limit the option? So long as it's on a private hive way down the road in this game's development, and doesn't detract from the main game's progress. Furthermore, its extremely hypocritical for you guys to shout "Dayz is your story" and then tell people they're playing it wrong.

That's a pretty indepth personal backstory. :thumbsup: Also I think they are dead/reanimated zombies. There's a mocap video on youtube of them making zombie animations and he mentions zombies with broken necks and broken spines.

They could be like the zombies from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. They carry a rifle still, but can't really aim it. Sometimes they just shoot straight downward as they come after you. I guess it's more of a muscle spasm than anything. This could work as a believable "Screamer" type, where his gunshots would draw the attention of more zombies.

I can't tell if the AI is bad or not, but it's definitely inconsistent. Earlier I saw a zed a good 200+km from me, and as I run along it managed to see me and start giving chase. Later on I decided to hone my skills on losing zeds on foot (still a noob and learning the way), and ran literally within inches behind one and it didn't even move. I ran in front of it and it took a few seconds to register that I was even there. -

Was just watching this last night haha. Swear the best game videos on youtube are the ones where people are legitimately having fun. As opposed to the ones that feel like they're just out for cash.
