  1. This is the first time I've played in a couple of week. Everyt ime I use a gun and go into FPS mode, whenever I aim down the sights I notice the screen is vibration fairly violently. I can see the character's hand and sights vibrating fairly hard (even the walls are vibrating to some extent), and when I use the sights on a rifle it gets worse. The lines in the sights are vibrating up and down a lot. How do I go about solving it? Game seems fine in 3PS mode. Using a 670GTX and a 4770K cpu if that matters.

Vibration issues in FPS mode. Any help appreciated

No status though. Broke a leg earlier on. Already applied a splint. Anything else I can do?

    Low FPS issue

Since the critical patch, the frame rate has gone down drastically. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Using a Radeon card if that matters. The game was alright and fully playable when I first gotten it. Now I'm getting extremely low FPS (~10 FPS) even when I reduced all the settings to the lowest. It gets worse when I'm in a town where there are those tall apartment buildings. Are there any fixes or workarounds?

    Low FPS issue

DayZ stable hasn't been patched for ages. FPS is mainly around 10, going down to 1-2 in parts of certain cities. This is really bad. Workarounds mentioned doesn't work either.
  5. Just a heads up to players of the game. Saw this on Youtube and thought I would share, in case players were getting killed out of nowhere and don't know why. This could likely be the reason. This definitely needs to be solved ASAP. SNIP
  6. So when would an update be pushed to stable? Also, I've been getting 10 or so fps since the critical patch. Fps has been dropping steadily since I bought this game. Hopefully there would be an update and fix for stable today.

    Low FPS issue

Has anyone found a solution or workarounds to get a higher frame rate on a Radeon card (on stable). Not sure if 0.36 would be pushing to stable on Wednesday. If not, I doubt this issue would be solved during maintenance.

    Taking random damage in pants?

I've gotten that thrice in servers where I was the only one inside. Was just traveling between towns and that happened. 3 pristine pants became ruined. Most if not all of the items in the pants were ruined. Definitely not a gunshot since I'm the only one there, and my status is still healthy.

    Low FPS issue

I have a nvidia card and it performs way better than the Radeon card. Thing is, the Radeon card was performing fine till the patches made playing the game painful with terrible frame rates. If I could get reasonable frame rates on a non optimized game before all these patches, surely the devs could find a fix for it. Like I said before, not asking the best, as long the frame rate is reasonable enough to be playable that is fine with me. 10 fps is really quite unplayable.

    Low FPS issue

Has anyone tried this guide? If so, did it work? I'm unable to test it at the moment. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=216291078#

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

Is this on experimental or has the patch been pushed to stable today?

    Low FPS issue

Trust me, all these were already done. Weird thing was, I never had these issues. It got worse with nearly every patch, especially after the critical unplanned patch. The game can't load night servers. All I see are my hotkey spots and a weird screen before it crashes or bsods. I have verified cache, reinstalled game etc. The only issue I could say I solved for good was the desync issue.

    Low FPS issue

Other issues I have (these issues weren't there when I first bought the game in December, but slowly came along after various patches): Unable to load night servers. Game crashes or system BSODs. Loud static after entering a server Character groans upon entering the server, screen also flashes red (similar to when a character takes a hit) at this point occasionally. Random resets to characters. Usually to characters that have just respawned after a death. I gear up, and the next time I play I'm a fresh spawn again.

    Low FPS issue

My settings were checked and they weren't default. All of the settings are set to low/disabled. My frame rate was fine, not the best but was alright. I was actually running the game with the settings at medium with way better FPS. Frame rates actually went down sometime during the critical patch and it has been getting worse, and way worse in large towns with the tall apartment buildings (Berezino for example).

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

Well, would heart attacks occur to sprinting players or just unconscious players who have a heart attack? I think you've gotten me wrong regarding optimization. My specs are close to the recommended specs, and yet I'm getting only ~10+ FPS. I just need the frame rate to be decent enough (about 30) so that I can at least play properly. I had that kind of frame rate before a previous patch made it worse for me. I definitely don't expect it to be fully optimized, but at the very least to be playable.

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

So does anyone know how heart attack actually works? (would you get it from sprinting long distances?). Also, did this experimental patch improve frame rates?

    Low FPS issue

My specs are close to the recommended specs. Didn't state my exact specs as I wanted to see if it is across the board for AMD Radeon cards. From what I see, Radeon cards seemed to be performing worse. I have another rig with a fairly decent Nvidia card and it is performing way better. On both systems the game was installed in the SSD. Frame rate still dips with the nvidia card whenever I enter areas with those tall apartment buildings. The FPS was really fine when I gotten the game a lot earlier, I'm alright with getting 30 on mostly low-mid settings because this is in apha, but the frame rates have been going down. If I were to pinpoint the period where performance dipped by a lot it would be the week with the Wednesday patch and the critical unplanned patch on Friday. I didn't play between those two patches but it got worse after Friday. While client optimization isn't top priority, and I'm not expecting a super good frame rate (expecting 30 from my card, which I've gotten before the previous patches is extremely reasonable), the frame rate can't be so terribly low that the game play experience isn't great at all. Testing for bugs and what not is a huge pain when you are running the game at 10ish FPS. Does anyone have a workaround or are the devs going to be doing something about it? The frame rate was way better previous with my specs, so getting the previous FPS is was getting should be perfectly reasonable if there is a fix/workaround at all.

    Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.33.114926

Thanks for the link. Basically, so if you aren't in the server for 30minutes the penalty would be a 5 minutes waiting time? Either wise it would be just the 30 seconds? EDIT: When I read the changelog it seemed to me the penalty for leaving the server early is higher if you exit the server quicker, up to a maximum of 5 minutes and a minimum of 30 seconds (just throwing out a number here. For example you leave 15 minutes in the penalty is 2.5 minutes). I guess its either 5 minutes or 30 seconds then from what I read on your FAQ. Also, what about server restarts? When a server restart before the 30 minutes are up, would I be slapped with the 5 minutes penalty?

    Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.33.114926

What are the various penalty waiting time for the various time-frames under 30minutes? Also, what is the waiting time after staying in the server for more than 30minutes? I suppose most players would be interested in knowing. - Login: Player queuing system introduced. Penalty waiting time added for switching server or disconnecting a server quickly- Login: Players receive a login timeout when disconnect, increased if disconnect within 30 minutes of joining (max 5 minutes)
  20. From what I see on my side, the desync happens due to proximity with corrupted loot. This results in issues due to player proximity because players themselves are carrying the loot (you would need to throw the items and go some distance away. I tried that after throwing the items on the ground and there were issues when I got close). However, some players are not affected by it. My suggestion is to just throw away any loot you think that you have looted, or to kill yourself and start afresh. I killed myself and it was well worth it.The corrupted loot seemed to come from looting dead players only. I don't have issues looting items anywhere else, including exchanging items with my friend. Before I solved the issue, I noticed something weird. Rifle ammo showing as pristine on the desynced player. When a player with no issues picked it up, the condition was ruined.
  21. I believe you have looted someone sometime ago. I could pinpoint my issue to looting because I killed a fully geared player and looted him. After that the desync problems started happening. It has been nearly two weeks. Still no issues at all. This desync issue doesn't seem to be related to ping. Note that you can have some desync if your internet connection isn't stable, but still it won't be 100k all the time, and you're able to interact. I have 100+mbps down and 60mbps up on my last speedtest. I doubt internet connectivity is an issue here. EDIT: If you're having desync issues you'll see bandwidth, ping, and desync as 0, 0, 0
  22. Like I said, there could be other reasons. I effectively spent hours and hours finding the cause and solution for myself. It worked for another group. Sorry to say I can't help if there is an issue with BE.
  23. I took a while to reply because I wanted to make sure that the solution worked (it did, 5 days with 0 desync) and I tried to replicate the solution for another group of friends. It worked. I tried every solution that this thread provided. None worked. I then worked backwards and figured out when the desync issues started. I was able to pinpoint when it started to when I found a dead player and looted his items. That was mid day and there were no issues before that. I recalled I had huge desync issues later in the day after looting the player. Only thing out of the ordinary for the day was I looted the player's items. These are some things to take note (please note the causes might NOT be the same for everyone). 1. I travelled in a group. This desync issues seem to be player specific. Some players are not affected by it. I tested the solution on 2 different group of 2 players, each group contained 1 player with no issues and 1 that had issues. 2. A huge probable cause after checking my facts out was that items looted from a dead player might be causing desync. This desync is player specific, like previously stated it does not happen to everyone. 2 of us looted from a dead player. My desync shot up, the other guy didn't. I threw away every item I looted from the dead player. Improved when I was alone, when I came close to the other friend who looted the same dead guy, desync went up to 100l (that would be your player proximity issue). Also found some weird things, bullets picked up from the dead guy were pristine on my screen when I threw them away. Friend picked up and condition was ruined. 3. I killed myself, started out fresh. No issues after respawn. Desync shot up to 100k once I came close to that friend (he still had the looted items from the dead player). 4. Friend killed himself. I did so too. Best thing to do imo to make sure you're clean of the bugged items. No issues since. 5. Tested it on another set of 2 players, 1 with the issue and 1 without. Both had also looted items in a similar way. I had the player with no issue throw every item away that was looted he could remember which with 100% accuracy). The other friend had no issue since. 6. I did not loot any more items from dead bodies. Used what my friend and I had found. Desync stayed at 0 the entire week. 7. Throwing just the ammo box, protector cases etc did not work. The second set of friends threw EVERY item looted from players that they had. 8. Ping is not related to this desync issue. I tested this in servers ranging from 10 to 300 ping. However, if your internet connection is not stable, you MIGHT get desync issues. Just that you're still able to interact and it settles down after for a while, instead of staying at 100k. That being said, the speedtest for my group is 105mbps down 60 up for one of us and about 70 down and 50 up for the other. Other things I did in between that I'm not sure it helped: turning off anti virus, reinstalling the game. Therefore, for my case and the other friend, we isolated it to 'bugged' items looting from dead bodies to be causing the desync. Whether those items were bugged, or that the items failed to sync with the hive well when it transferred to us I don't know. This issue has been 100% solved for me. My friend and I tested various scenarios before finally killing ourselves to be 100% sure we don't have looted items, and have been gaming fine till now. What I can also say is that both of us spent a lot of time and effort into isolating this issue and finally solving it. Killing ourselves meant losing characters that were so fully stocked and equipped, but having a better gaming experience with my friend more than made up for it. I'll suggest players who have this issue to recall if the circumstances leading up to the issue are similar and if so, I would suggest fixing it the same way I did. On a side note, I discovered a glitch by accident (I could go through a wall and still maintain full visibility, sometimes I just spawned inside a wall and have full visibility. Cannot fire at players though) and decided to see if I can replicate it and if the glitch affects any game play experiences. Some players saw me doing so and threatened to report me. Should I be worried?
  24. Have solved my desync issues. Anyone want me to post the solution up?
  25. Still having desync issues, 100k desync nearly all the time. Threw all yellow containers, ammo boxes and med kits, no improvement. Killed myself but still had the issue on a fresh spawn. Game is unplayable. What is the point of getting an alpha to help test the game when it is unplayable? This should be no.1 on the list of things that needs to be done.
