the point of the thread is that it is tiring to see people get shouted down because what they said was not in line with what someones interpretation of someone elses "vision" is and I think it sucks.... Also it was clearly an inflammatory statement that has inevitably (and amusingly) got everyone foaming at the mouth because it would appear that the sun shines out of mr halls bottom according to some on here...

again sorry if this is posted elsewhere - I found a metal ammo box that had ten free slots in it but just takes up a couple of slots or so in your backpack - I put some ammo in it - 50 bullets for some gun I dont think I have got - I now cant see the ammo, cant take it out and cant seem to do anything with the box - it is not a big deal cos I dont think I have the gun the ammo was for anyway but does anyone know how to use the box properly? If I find the gun in question will I be able to load it from the ammo box? If I put other ammo in it will I be able to access it later?

tonight i found a pink baseball cap, two cowboy hats, 2 green hard hats, a white hard hat, about 10 motorbike helmets, 2 ushankas, a red beret, a couple of beanies, a headtorch and a bobble hat. I went for the cowboy hat with shades cos it was ubergay...I want a rubber glove to make a chicken head or at the very least one of those beer helmets so i can carry a couple of extra drinks :)

Ah sorry ok maybe not uber but still a bit gay if im honest, it wasnt the hat per say it was the chaps and studded waistcoat, they really tied the outfit together...

Im sure this has been covered to death elsewhere but the biggest problem for me at the moment is the lack of loot - server restarts every 4 hours or server hopping to find loot is kinda crappy, and also zombies coming through walls like magic ghosts... Does anyone know when these aspects are likely to be fixed as frankly I am not bothered whether they fix this animation whatsit or that crafting thingy or whatever they fixed in the last update particularly - zombies working and sensible loot spawning is all I want... Just wondering so please dont do the usual "its in alpha dude if you dont like it fuck off" thing....

First up im new here so please forgive me if anything has already been posted. I spent 4 days playing day z so far and built up a pretty good inventory - I mostly played at night on servers with few players to try to increase my chances. I wanted to play daytime a bit but was fearful of bandits - I played on what was described as a PvE server so therefore was hoping not to get killed. Some guy then wasted me for no reason, I had no guns, just an axe and some food/water/bandages etc - against server rules - guess he was just an arse but thats the harsh reality of human nature and dayz/survival i suppose. I know the game is all about survival - death is pretty inevitable at some point I guess but I was fairly gutted because I had spent quite a bit of time and just wanted to find a gun before I got into any major fights :( also I had the sacred can opener! My question is if I set up a lan game to build up my inventory again, and then go online after, will the character remain the same or will the lan character not pass over as it were and I will have to start again? I know this is kinda not in the spirit of the game but hey. Other q is how do you set up lan - is it easy? On another note, I think the game is awesome but the zombies walking through stuff is surely the most pressing bug to get fixed? it makes the game completely broken- zombie through wall killed me good and proper. Sorry for multiple subjects but my last thing is I would love to team up with some people but none of my steam friends are playing at the mo so if someone wants to team up with a noob and give me some survival training then give me a shout.

it astounds me how hostile people can be I was merely stating that it was disappointing to me to be killed on a supposed PvE server (which i have since found out are not permitted) and was wondering if i could get some gear a little easier in the day without getting mowed down by bandit assholes, I am quite obviously new, am learning and have only been playing for 3 days no need to be all cunty about it...

I should have anticipated the inevitable twatty response given I appreciate that my question was a bit lame, its just a bit of a bitch to build so many hours of play for it all to be over in a second :(

ah fair play thanks for the advice. On that note, I am worried I am going to stop being quite so friendly - this guy was on his own and looked at me a bit before deciding to waste me - next time I will be more than tempted just to smack them in the face with my axe :)
