  1. Before you say anything, yes I did pull 3/4 out of my ass. The problem is, it might be even higher than this. Lets take a quick look at the AS50 loot spawn rate. Being at 0.87% (that's less than 1 percent!) You would imagine that you would NEVER see an AS50 spawn at a helicopter crash. (Source: http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html) If you've played for a bit, you notice that many players are running around with an AS50 or other high level loot. Why is this? This is because of duplicating glitches. There are many ways to do, I know of four ways, and it's extremely easy. I used to dupe for a long time, but when I finally realized it destroyed the purpose of getting new items, I stopped. Ex: "Oh hey, I found an MK-48! Oh wait, I already have one!" I convinced by friends it had been patched and if you attempted it, your inventory would be wiped, or the items you intended to dupe would disappear. One of the best lies I've ever told. So, that sniper shooting unarmeds in Vysota must be really good at the game to ever get an AS50 right? Wrong. After so many months of duping and the passing on of weapons, the system has become oversaturated with high level gear. This is inevitable even without duping, but the pace of it has increased dramatically. Slapped on with hacker crates and the ridiculously easy ability to dupe, everyone is running around with a 0.87% drop rate weapon. This is breaking the game. It's really no longer a zombie simulator, but an overly huge map with snipers lined on the coast, newly spawned players looking to dupe, and the lucky few who can still enjoy the game without the knowledge of duping. And worst of all, we can do really nothing to stop this... 1. Wipe the hive of everyone's inventory. 2. Change the source code/net code or whatever is the origin of duping to stop the production of high level gear for low level IQ users.

    An AS50 is a better gun than an M107. Both have similar spawn rates YET you see an AS50 almost 5x more often than an M107. You might not realize it, but the weapon you got off of that body might have originated from a duper.

    I would take the M4A3 CCO. Use that for close ranged encounters and the AS50 for long ranged.

    Perhaps, but recently the shear amount of people that are running around with an MK-48, DMR, or AS50 in god damn Cherno is really making me start to wonder about the legitimacy of how they aquired their weapons. Maybe they found them on a dead body, but perhaps that dead person duped it, or found it off another dead body, and perhaps he duped it? You never know because these family-trees might extended back months to a helicopter crash, or some kid who just learned how to dupe.

    I don't think you understand my point. I'm saying that 3/4 of high level weapons are duped, and that there is a 0.87% spawn rate for AS50s. They are obviously far apart, which is exactly my point.

    Found a helicopter crash and a hacker teleported to me and killed me. He teleported right in front of me (or logged in, which I doubt) and shot me immediately.

    This is such a silly idea damnit. Just stop it already. This mod needs scripting in other, more useful places. Nobody wants to be a warlock or mage nowadays.

    Yeah, I realized that once I posted. :P I don't think increasing the risk of destruction from Zeds is going to be a good idea. Since the generator can easily be stolen and heard from, bandits, like me, will target those areas with no mercy. Zombies ontop of that would make any hope of a stable government inpossible.

    Addition of Horror Elements

    Horror elements should NOT be made by the game itself, but by the PLAYERS. There is a story that I saw about a survivor finding a small light in the middle of the woods. It was a dark night and he followed the light until he saw a camp fire. Around it, he saw two bandits carrying hatchets, circling the fire, chanting strange words he could not understand. He watched as they dragged an unlucky sob around the fire, blood spewing out of his neck. As he finally regained conciousness he yelled out into direct chat, "JUST KILL ME DAMNIT!" They hatcheted him again to put him back into unconciousness. He obviously had his legs broken and couldn't escape, but he strangely maintained his life. The survivor neared, unfortunately with no weapon, and saw the deadly truth: they were blood packing the victim, over and over and over again... At last, for one final time, the victim regained conciousness and killed himself by respawning, the sound of flies emerging at last. The bandits then turned towards the darkest depths of the woods and said, "you're next." The player has never alt-f4ed faster in his entire life... Events like these shouldn't be quick time events or scripted in: these should be encouraged in small subtle ways, at first not seeming frightening, but in combination and with the crafty minds of players, we can create the most frightening things we've ever experienced. The sight of hanging bodies/flickering TVs/flickering lights/floating objects is so fucking boring compared to the stories and events that WE the players can create. Nothing can prepare you for something that is completely uncontrollable and random. Encourage this type of emergent gameplay and twist it into something horrific and you can create the most frightening experience that makes even Amnesia: The Dark Descent, defecate its pants.

    Make it so that players spawn out in the woods around whatever hot zone they are in. Lets say they log out in one of the Cherno cafes and relog the next day. They will relog to be pointing at their last known and be far enough so they aren't in the city. This should only work at 'hot spots' like NW, NE, Balota, Cherno (Of course :]) Elektro, Berezino, ect.

    Your 500 meters spawning out in the woods is a good idea! They should implement that for everywhere.

    They just need to fix the bugs that the Zeds are just infested with. A challenge is great, but making it unfair by Zeds hitting you through walls or clipping through the ground with just their head sticking out is just plain silly. Also, starting out with no morphine and having a super high leg break chance is just plain bad gameplay mechanics.

    I dislike game driven mechanics. These sort of classes should be made by the players for fucks sake. Don't you understand that DayZ is special because it puts "PLAYER CHOICE" above everything else? Easy to make classes: 1. Someone carries all medical supplies 2. Someone carries extra ammo 3. Someone carries extra food 4. Someone carries extra car parts Not fucking hard damnit.

    I disagree with this. If 'liberation' were to be implemented, there shouldn't be such regulated aspects to it. I suggest making the generator, which is already in the game with its own custom sound, to be a player item that you can place and pickup. Run on fuel from jerry cans, this generator can stop the spawning on zeds in a 100/200 meter radius, effectively stopping the spawn of zombies. If you are in this radius, you can hear the faint humming noise, signaling that it's nearby. What this can potentially allow is players collect all the generators on the map, say... three generators total? and placing them all in key places in a city. The players can then make a militarized government called the NCR, or New Chernarus Republic (get it? FNV fans? You out there?) to regulate and manage the city. People would have to pay jerry cans to help fill up the generators to keep the Zeds away effectively making a player made/driven currency. A police force can stop the survivors from getting too rowdy and halt intruders and bandits. A town center can form at the church with elected mayors ect. Cafes become hang out spots instead of a stairwell massacre and the hospitals become free to all. (public healthcare ftw!) Regarding loot spawns, anything within the generator's radius should DECREASE instead of being completely removed. There should be an incentive to leave, but also the choice to stay aswell. A new risk/reward system is always welcome. If we are going to implement this sort of late game gameplay, it should be TOTALLY up to the player and encourage it, not limit it but release complete freedom and control to everyone involved. Cities can be razed, built, and destroyed. Stories will be told and empires will be remembered!

    I have a ghille suit but I'm too afraid to equip it. I might spawn in the middle of the ocean or some stupid shit so I refrain from wearing it. Everytime I open my backpack and loot at it, it calls to me...

    ATVs everywhere! I'd rather have a motorcycle if you ask me, way harder to flip and goes faster too. Less of an X axis silhouette to hit aswell.
