I've wondered about the HDR settings as well but I know low vs very low on post processing DOES have an impact. When you sprint/run with low post processing, there is a slight blurr around the edges of your screen to imitate speed. On very low, there is no speed effect. -

NOTE: This is on the assumption that DayZ will be for Arma III. Arma III is going to feature a mediterranean environment for the player, removing many of the forests of Chernarus and replacing them with more open battle grounds. Forests in DayZ are generally considered to be safe zones for players, allowing users to traverse long distance with relative ease and safety. With the massive decrease of forests in Arma III's maps, battles will be much more frequent and will occur at longer distances. Snipers and long ranged rifles will rule the land with ruthless accuracy. In order to prepare for the change of location, a developer should use a map that will is already very similar to Arma III's, Takistan, for testing purposes. This is to help provide valuable insight to how DayZ will work with more open environents. I'm suggesting for DayZ to convert from Chernarus to Takistan to give players more varied gameplay and provide our amazing developers with essential information on how the core mechanics of DayZ will react with a different location. A smaller playing field featuring funneling canyons and sparse forests will obviously favor more long ranged weapons, but with tightly clustered towns and villages with EVERY building enterable, close urban engagements will be very common aswell. (I think...) Water will be all the more valuable with survivors dipping at open water holes like unsuspecting zebras to be shot dead by a desperate bandit. I hope Takistan can one day be implemented into DayZ, not only for the fun of enjoying a new environment, but the valuable information it can give to our developers. I love your beans, Diet Taco

Yes. We made a crude simulator of what we thought to expect. When we first saw the base we saw a bus, so we put it into the editor. When we got there, there was no bus but two shiny trucks. Nothing can really go to plan exactly but a nice scouting of the area, knowing the hiding spots, the good flanking positions, and the best way to enter a fight can help you out tremendously. This video is proof of it and I think many others should follow this type of planning and discussion. It could really help out your team! And I do know I WILL lose my stuff eventually, but keeping it for longer is not a bad idea eh? -

When placing down an extremely rare "generator" it should stop zombie spawns within the next 100*? meters. There should only be around 2/3 on a server. They could be placed within someone's base (factory in cherno) to make it easier to secure the position or you could put like 3 in elektro to make a civilized, military state free of zombies and only key members can join. This generator could also make an engine sound, called "generator" within the editor. People can hear it from like 10 meters away. Once placed, only a person with an electrical kit can remove it,. I tried making a base in the factory north of Dolina, but the zed spawns were just too frustrating. Securing certain key positions could be very useful.

On the Su25 note, 80 missiles COULD flatten Cherno, but you could also disable/lower the ammunition of a vehicle. Still, would rather have an An-2 Colt by FAR. Just seeing a plane landing on NE airstrip with a bunch of buds seems like a blast.

Someone drives the car into the middle of cherno, jumps out, saves the car, and logs out. He then goes on a travel server or unpopulated one and drops the key into the ocean. Car will be in the middle of cherno on that server forever. Trollololololololololol

Keep the silenced pistol. Maybe add the silenced makarov too (in the game actually). They should be used in PvZ not PvP. Get out of that 1 douchebag zombie situation, not hide on a hill for hours sniping unsuspecting people. M4CCOSD is pretty damn good, and just too common. It's so damn good and with the dupping people do now, it's ridiculous.
