First thing i tried was finding a worn version, it works for me, but the pristine still doesn't. Odd that your worn version doesn't work... or odd that mine does, off to check the bug tracker now to make sure it's been reported properly.

But at the same time, this needs some kind of fix, it would really suck to be kicked and murdered like this. Maybe since we are looking at forceful rejection from a server, we could say that the server obviously has a problem with said player, so player cannot join the same server for an extended period of time, almost like a semi-ban instead of a kick. This would put off the admins using it to help friends, i think? Battle-eye kicks because of internet speed would have to be dealt with differently to normal kicks if this happened, obviously.

Right, that's why it shouldn't be exploited to get advantage over people who don't want it around, if we don't want people looking over walls at us, we go in hardcore. FoV should be set in an external options menu, and then locked once you join a server.

Great idea. Cant see any reason they couldn't/wouldn't implement scope zeroing other than to keep the game simple, unless its a complicated mechanic to add? (very little knowledge about ballistic engine capabilities) One more reason to cherish your hard won scope & any investment you make in your gear just adds to the adrenaline rush when the danger of losing it all rears its ugly head :D

Not hacks, it's usually totally ok in games, it changes some of the graphics options. It ''injects'' colours, but you can't make people pink, or something stupid like that. Do a search, it's an awesome program, would be nice to know if it's allowed or not though, officially.

At least if you ever get used to your current dose of adrenaline you can step it up ;)

Removing the FOV option from the ingame graphics settings would be nice, putting it somewhere out of game where it can't be exploited every 5 mins by someone that wants to. I play a lot of Insurgency and yeah, it's really well done. Would love to see that working nicely in DayZ.

I saw a bunch of guys trying to terrorize someone in electro, and they didn't even realize that when he sat down and crouched and then sat down again and started looking around, that he was logging out. They played with him for the whole 30 seconds, too funny. edit: noticed this sounded almost like I was supporting combat logging, that's not my intention at all, but it was quite funny at the time, he was barely geared at all and they were all full and thought they had an easy target.

I can't imagine the rush you would get from playing in hardcore servers with 3PP.OFF. Some people pay serious money for that kind of adrenaline kick, you should try it.

Read his posts and you might actually understand what he is saying. I have read everything rocket has said so far on the subject, and everything everyone else has suggested, and all of the system specs posted on reddit to help. None of that helped anyone NOW. This solution and one other seem effective, someone else mentioned that it was ruined or damaged items in a nearby inventory that was causing the issue, sure enough a 6 man team (not the only people to successfully fix their problem) emptied of ruined and damaged items and is now able to play with no memory leaks or fps problems. I don't see how this is spam or anything other than helpful to be honest, only the posts following the OP were a little off, mostly because they didn't read what he had to say in the first place. Worth noting that I can't verify it personally though, I haven't logged in tonight.

I have personally found that there are a lot less of the more annoying breeds of DayZ players on hardcore servers. Also, I'm friendly 99.9% of the time, have only died a few (literally 3 or 4 times) to KoS, the rest to legit fire-fights in obviously dangerous areas, and a few bugs. But if you are wearing a payday mask, or gas mask, or dust mask, I will KoS. It's just a way of advertising the fact that you're a bandit in my eyes. I won't usually KoS a motorcycle helmet though, unless they have seen me and are acting aggressive. In short, I've met lots of friendly people, I avoid a lot of people, and I shoot obvious bandits. Never go into a situation without the upper hand if you are unsure. Edit: over 200 hours in the SA.

I gave beans for the effort, it is easier to sneak up on people with 3pp, but you have to remember that the people getting sneaked upon also have that advantage, not using it is suicide. But.. hardcore is the only way I can play, too.

I'd say if you are getting shot by people shouting the same stuff at you each time, you are probably making an instant error in the direction you are choosing to run after spawning. Heading back to the same guy isn't a great idea, especially if he's trigger happy and likes shouting about bunnies. It's a harsh place, lots to learn, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have :)

Chemical poisoning is very hard to survive, you have to be already Healthy/Healing, at full health, and next to lots and lots of water, for 2 hours or so. Other than meeting those requirements, it's a sure death. You do have to eat a lot and drink a lot to start with, you have just woken up on a beach after starving and dehydrating for 5 days.
