Pro-tip, firstly, remember you are paying for Arma, not for DayZ. Arma is a full game, and well worth playing. Remember this when you are raging about DayZ xD -

Well said Mr Two. I'm dreading playing when I have the time xD I was coddled on 1.7.0, not yet experienced the QQ inducing pain that is this new one. If there are buildings they can see through, I hope that gets fixed, especially as they are putting empathis or breaking LOS, and they have greater vision now.

Game purchase only, if your gonna charge a subscription it better be really cheap, but as I rule I avoid those games like the plague. Free-to-play with buying advantages will kill this game in a heartbeat. Deffo would not buy.

I Don't think rocket intends to force us to behave in any particular way. You're really over-thinking this all and to be honest I think alot of your ideas will never be considered for a second as a serious possibility, and a rather delusional. just my opinion.

IIRC the intention was to have Zombies with poor eyesight, but enhanced smell/hearing. I seem to remember this being the idea or goal, sorry if I'm wrong. I think that- The sight of zombies needs to be way turned down, to near 1.7.0 levels ( prone players should be almost unseeable when still, mega tension as they shuffle past you) Hearing needs to stay highish, in which case you should remain motionless when they are near. (This means you can be crazy and aggro them all, and try to lose them with LOS/buildings,but if they get a hit on you, as they will often do, they break legs/bleed, unchanged from current. Or you can usually avoid them if your patient.) And zombies need to be just as tough as now, so you feel their wrath and are scared of being cornered by them/caught with a passing swipe, as currently. I'm assuming the infinite zombies spawns are bugged and will be fixed. I suggest these changes because they would be much more of a threat than they were in 1.7.0, what with them being stronger, and spawning in buildings sometimes, and being drawn by gunfire from afar. This would also make stealth more of an option, especially for weapon-less/low end players. It would also mean much more aggro for whoever fires the first shot, than for a defenseless noob or such, increasing the challenge for better equipped or indiscriminant players. My main reasoning for this though, would not be to cater to any play-style in particular, but I think this fits well with what was intended to be the zombie style here anyway. It's just a bonus that it should go some way to help level the playing field, not because new spawns should be easy, but because veterans/clans etc. need to be challenged more by the zombies when using all that high end loud loot, being aware that zombies are nearby and will be aggroed easily by the sound. Beanwars shouldn't cease god forbid it, but the well equipped bandits will have to play abit smarter when hunting their prey :) Thanks for reading anyway (TLDR etc), please post mature responses. I think the world should be realistic, and people should find enjoyment in their own ways. If you can't find it then the game isn't for you. I think this way the good parts are really highlighted after all the punishment of a harsh unforgiving world :D *just my opinion -

IIRC, if you take hacked items, they dissapear on respawn. Maybe thats the problem. -
I think the reaction to this guy is unnessecary, he doesn't sound too ungrateful, the issues he mentions are legitimate in that they cause frustration sometimes. Yes it is alpha etc. This forum is very hostile, the reactions are often more immature than any rage/QQ Can we be mature please?

I will say that the game is what it is, and how people adapt to it should be left to their own devices. So long a people are challenged and afraid, it's good. Also I very much enjoyed reading this debate, and applaud your mature reasoning, all involved :) 5star thread

SERVER HOPPING firefights (*BIG problem*)

When you DC your body stays, for at least 10 seconds, if not 30, so if you DC you will be killed and your body stays. And/Or if you leave a server, you may not re enter for at least 5 minutes, maybe 10-15mins or more I would suggest both, the first stops people leaving on the brink of death, and the second stops them coming back to ambush quickly, though you may have to turn it up to 20 mins tops, which is getting harsh but no major deal. -

Carbearing sounds painful, but it's good to have a way for female survivors to provide vehicles :) But on a serious note, players will always kill other players for fun. This is lessened when they are in danger themselves, or they have some advantage to not killing you, but still there. You will never eliminate this. Learn to fear survivors. When you have played this game for a while, you get a bit of adrenaline when you even see another player, nevermind hunting them :D
