Nah got no other overlays, ah well

Hey I'm running DayZ via six launcher. I own the steam version, but I don't run it through steam I just use SixLauncher. In any case I can't get the overlay working. In the plugin section I have the overlay ticked, and I have ticked enforce loading in the default profile. it doesn't ever load up, and Shift-Tab doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong :s?

Rocket always described DayZ as trying to be authentic, not realistic. You should edit your post as it is far too vague. Removing the respawn would screw over people who are stuck bugged out. A cooldown in the region of 10mins-1day would be fine. If you mean respawning after death, then -1000 internets

I would say no, because atm they are infected, and if you destroy their organs they die like anyone else. If you implement headshots only, then you are going into the realm of magical zombies etc, and thats just bullshit.

Tough call, cleat optics makes shooting a tad easier, but at range it doesnt hold up brilliantly. Personally I am carrying a M16iron with 203. The sights are clunky with the 203 ontop, but still just about usable. The 203 sight however is retarded, as it is either zeroed to 300m as the first tab, or broken. IMO 300m is a bit far to use a grenade launcher accurately, I use mine at 50m typically.

You can do all those things if you want, do you need some mega bonus point objective flashing up on your screen to make you feel accomplishment? Rocket will put in more things to do, he is looking at base building etc, I know that for a fact. He will never put in missions/objectives, because the game is a sandbox, and the goal is what you make of it, no one can tell you how to play it, that's for you to find out.

I heard that duped items get converted to a near equivilent, or get deleted etc. But nothing concrete.

I agree to the suggestion, provided that people who end process etc have their character stay ingame for 30sec minimum. A few people now and then will potential die from DC accidentally at the wrong moment. Even if the timer is 10 seconds it will be a big improvement, so you can finish off people who blatantly DC during gunfights, and people avoiding zombies will get hit a few times. I'm sure your all aware this probably the single greatest problem DayZ has, and at any cost it needs to be stopped. Only a small minority, a tiny fraction of deaths this will cause will be due to acciddent. Besides, if you DC because of accident during a gunfight, you should't get special treatment. Let's see what rocket does, if theres nothing in 1.7.2 to combat DC, I will hit my head on a brick wall xD

I got hit by a zombie, and it broke my legs, tore my tendon, and gave me an infection, all in one hit. We're gonna go look for antibiotics, but can the infection kill me?

Yeah I don't feel too bad shooting people, it is just a game. For example I was with a friend of mine looting elektro, and two players were coming up, so I mowed them down, because they were armed and posed a danger. Another time I met a guy with an axe, this time I asked him if he was friendly, no reply, so he got mak to the face. and last time I met an unarmed player. I didn't turn my back to him, but let him go. If there were guns/axe nearby I would have shot him. I have also shot people for trailing zombies towards me. I guess it depends of the threat level of the player, because they are very unpredicatable. That said my friend yesterday teamed up with randoms twice in a row without issue, the deciding factor was both parties had VOIP. If you don't have a mic, your more likely to get shot.

Getting a server is by request etc and there are rules blah blah blah, try using the forum search function, or looking into the Sever related threads, Im sure there are stickies
