It worked for me too?!?! I don't.... what? Why does this do anything? I spent hours doing every other suggestion on google with registry editing, unistalling and reinstalling visual c++ and this is what fixes it? ty based DayZ forums.

Recently when playing DayZ I force quited the game rather than using the exit button. Whenever I have tried to load up DayZ after that I receive the following error message. "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I've looked into what this error message is, and most solutions involve reinstalling visual c++ packages, all of them, which I've now done multiple times. Others include editing registry files which I've also done. I'm not sure what the command-line sxstrace.exe tool is, and all previous solutions I've tried have been unsuccessful, so I was wondering if someone with more technological knowledge than I would be willing to troubleshoot my problem and hopefully get me back to surviving on the fields of Chenarus, Thanks in advance.
