Zombies are too hard (defending my opinion)
inphared replied to JosephHabib's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, my only complaint about zombies atm in experimental is their ability to one shot you when you are fully energized/hydrated/healthy. It happened to me two days ago while wearing all pristine gear (including a motorcycle helmet) & I was one shot by a zombie. Alright, freak incident, I forget about it & move on. Well, yesterday, while moving in to loot Balota AF, I was once again one shot by a zombie while in full pristine gear. It also made no foot step sounds, no growling noises, nothing. I had scouted the area while running & saw ZERO zombies & killed any I came across. Of course, while scouting out the AF at first, I get hit and my screen goes colorless. I freak out thinking I'm being shot & immediately run. Before I could even get away, I get hit one more time & I was dead. I checked my status to see if I was bleeding after the first hit & I was fine. Frustrating to say the least. -
Awesome, thanks for confirming.

Cool, thanks for confirming. Looks like I will be searching for a battery tonight. What about the pistol supressor? I haven't been able to test it on EXP yet, to see if it actually works now.
-
Totally disagree with you. The sawed off is my go-to weapon when going inside buildings, so good.
-
Spent 3 days searching for one on EXP & finally found one last night. So in EXP I need a battery for it to work? Haven't actually attached & tested it out yet. Literally got shot & he ruined my FNX45 before I got the chance to use it lol.
-
They didn't provide one. As for "when" this will be pushed to stable, I'm guessing 2-3 weeks. The rubberbanding, floating loot near the new city & the servers just generally not performing as well on exp, makes me think it'll take a good amount of time to fix. That being said, if you get the chance, check out EXP. Even with the rubber banding, it's a ton of fun.
-
Rubber banding didn't seem to be as bad yesterday, as it was the day before. Still a big annoynace though, even when trying all the suggestions of walking slowly, etc to avoid it. Having a big problem with items disappearing for long periods of time though & also appearing way away from where I actually dropped them. IE: dropped a backpack on the floor in a barracks, it appeared on the ground about 100 ft away, outside of it.

List and description of new craftables in EXP
inphared replied to gianni001's topic in General Discussion
Yup, I cooked 8 pieces of deer steak on a fire last night & all of them were perfect, no burns. Basically you need to actually sit there & watch the meat cook & pay attention. Too early & it's raw, too late & it's burnt, both results in being sick. I made a fire in a little shack in the middle of the woods somewhere. Put the meat on the fire, watched it turned red & just paid attention. I'm guessing in the 6-8 minute mark (totally guessing as I didn't pay attention to time) they should be ready. What I did was keep the inventory window open & swapped the steaks around the slots after 5+ minutes until I saw that they were cooked. Once they are cooked the icon changes & you can put it in your inventory. Not sure if you need to move the steaks around to update the status, to show they are cooked, but I did it anyways as that's what seemed to work. -
Lol I AFK'd for 5-10 mins twice yesterday & was worried the entire time. Thankfully I have a wireless headset, so I listened while I was cleaning my place but those damn audio glitches were freakin me out. EVery 15-30 secs I would heared a Zed or a gun reloading & it would cause me to rush back to my computer. Lesson learned: Just log out.

Oddly enough I haven't been KoS'd yet in 30-40 hours of Stable. However, played EXP for 4 hours last night & was KoS'd twice within the first hour lol.
-
I bought the game about 4 days ago & I think I have about 35-40 hours logged so far (went hard as I was off work for a week). My first kill was about 10 hours into the game or so, on my first day. I had gotten quite geared, had a SKS & headed up to the NEAF. It was a low pop server (as I wanted to get used to the game), so I headed to the barracks beside the ATC tower & heard someone drinking upstairs as I entered. I pulled my SKS out, aimed down the sights & slowly peaked around the corner. I wasn't expecting to see him at the top of the stairs (thought he was in the room being safe) & I guess we both startled each other. He fired, I fired & when the dust settled, he was dead & I was bloody. I tried saying sorry over the mic, as he scared the crap outta me, but he was already dead. I've gotten used to being a LOT more cautious now.

You hear someone say, "Hello?"
inphared replied to Death By Crowbar's topic in New Player Discussion
Just got the game a four days ago, so I have a feeling I haven't had the KoS banditry engrained into my brain yet, but so far I have been incredibly friendly. Haven't held anyone up & anyone I've had the jump on, I usually say hello & ask if friendly before I show myself. Although I did KoS a few people in the new town yesterday on experimental. I had already been shot twice in the back, as a fresh spawn though, so I was getting tired of being nice. -
Don't know exact directions, as I just got the game 4 days ago, but it's northwest of Svetlo. I spawned in Svetlo, followed the railroad west & came up on. Pretty hard to miss considering how absolutely MASSIVE it is. Don't forget there's two new cities though, the huge one and a smaller one close to it. Can't remember exact direction.

EXP was pretty good but the rubberbanding made it near impossible to play. I toughed through it and logged about 4 hours but it was alright. Didn't get the chance to fish but the new fireplace is cool although semi-useless atm as there's more than enough food to find & eat, without having to cook. I also never saw a single animal that they added, weird. The new town is absolutely MASSIVE though, especially the industrial complex area. Not sure if spawns are messed there though, as about 50% of the places I went, all the loot was floating in mid-air & after a fresh server restart, there was literally 0 loot inside an entire police station, bizarre.
