^ this. Server time is there. I have had one instance where I didn't deserve a timmer since I froze and crashed multiple times. I'd gladly get a small 5 minute login timmer that I didn't deserve every once in a while than have completely unchecked server hoppers. Its doesn't stop the problems, just annoy the problem makers.

Its all preference based, I'd rather have some sort of notification that I will revive eventually or die without intervention.

In all honesty, PvP and player interaction is the draw of this game for me. Once I have all the food I could ever want and ammo I can carry, what else is there to do besides hunting the most dangerous game? So far the most fun I've ever had was when I was sniping and my killer shot me unconcious. We had a conversation for a few minutes then he left and I respawned. Too bad he ruined 120 mosin ammo and 200+ 45 ammo, though I did tell him about my sks ammo stockpile, which he didn't grab so I went back and got it. So whats the difference between this game and shooters...I had fun losing.

My personal preference, Mosin for medium and long range and side arm for short range. I don't know how accurate the SKS is, but I am not accurate within medium range. Not a fan of spray and pray.

Yup, I've had issues with it. Reloading with a clip when there's ammo in sks chamber bugs out non-clip ammo to zero. Emptying ammo boxes when there's loose ammo of the same kind can bug out unboxing ammo to zero. When I dropped the loose ammo then unboxed the ammo, it successfully unboxed to the correct amounts. Possible workaround, though I only tried it once.

Only time I've had problems with the timmer is when the GPU bug was rampant. Now I found a server that is very close to me and thats my new (low ping) home.

Finally, a low ping hardcore server. Plus a good population. Many thanks.

Would make sense to do that if there was a benefit for doing that beyond role playing or aesthetics like faster movement, less carry weight, making less noise... Until then I'm equipped to the brim.

Stairs haven't ever killed me and only apartment building ladders have killed me. Lag has killed me by warping out walls or under houses.

Muscle mass is first lost after approximately 24 hours of starvation. That is with no food. Meeting certain nutritional requirements while still being below daily Kcalorie requirements will help negate or stop muscle loss while still losing fat. Also activity is required to prevent muscle loss for a fit and healthy person.

I use ladders all the time. Walk up to it, give a second to attach, only move up or down, give a moment to detach. 100% success rate since I've done it that way for the last two weeks.

60 hours and I've only killed 1 person so far. After trying for peaceful encounters at airports followed by my death I now avoid or shoot in airport or military areas. While looting some of NW airport I hear a shot behind me as I am traveling outside. I tried to out flank around cover to the left to get behind him but he went to the same spot I can only assume to track me down. I turned first with a readied weapon and unleashed a 40 round clip into him. Wish I knew if the first shot was a warning shot as it didn't hit me...but I likely never will.

Tone it down please. I understand your frustration but there are more polite ways to say it.

I'm not worried about a 30 second logout timer. I've afk'd for an hour+ and always felt confident I would survive. Constantly check my flank while finding a nice remote spot with low brush cover. Have not found a zombie outside a point of interest so they aren't a problem. This I assume is a short term solution that will help alleviate some current problems. Long story short, don't log out at airport weapon spawns and you'll be practically fine.

Yeah, Its been hit or miss. I had today off from work so I was able to be the first to pick through two airports and Chernogorsk. I found enough food to last me all day, a SKS, a revolver, and a .45 with accompanying ammo for all of them. Once the server was full for a spell loot was rare. Item respawning would be a welcome change for these busy servers that don't reset often.

Unlike most players, all but one of my player interactions have gone positively since I started playing last week.

1. Take a look at merinos in-depth guides pinned at the top of this forum. Right now energy/water use is based on active or not. 2. Loot is a little wonky right now. Before the current patch most residential houses had loot. Now I skip them entirely since none do. You need to find what type of places currently drops loot and stick to those only to save time. 3. There are axes, can openers, screwdrivers, and other things to open cans. Non-can openers spill food though. 4. Two hives, regular and hardcore. 5. My computer can barely play dayz. Fire axe is a one hit kill. I stick to only those when try to melee zombies. 6. Never eat rotten fruit, you can get sick and die. Most important thing is explore and find out what building types currently drop items.
