Yeah ssuurreeee, i played some years (many years lol) star wars galaxies, it was epic for the time, awesome uber complex crafting and combat.Now before you get too much hyped check how ended the story lol, 2 total combat revamp, everytime stripping things away "was needed to fix bugs" theyr words, it ended badly, first revamp, some left, 2nd revamp, userbase halfed every 6 months, they lost the stawars license from the now dead lucasarts (rip) and the game was closed... Execelent management they had, google -> swg smedley and have fun. EDIT OMG i should not have done that, googled that to remember some of the stuff happened, you can forget that game, that guy in charge for h1z1 John smedley is the one who killed swg, totally unprofesional and unskilled manager, i m surprised to see he s still in charge..... Is in any way better autohotkey vs autoit ? I have always used autoit for personal needs, even wrote a gui client to manage my router whit an integrated telnet client. But most important, is auto/it/hotkey allowed officialy or we can risk a ban.

Go to your documents folder, locate the DayZ folder ( cfgs folder ), rightclick on it, be sure read only is unchecked, apply. Then try again switching settings ingame

Use notepad++ to edit the .cfg file, some txt editors can cause what you described ( line break stuff ), also check if it's read only, if you still get some values changed after you played set the file to read only, profit.

You can delete all cfg files every time you play, yes you will not see your last played character, but nothing it' s wiped since the player is saved on the hive regular/hardcore. That save it's bound to the steam account. Is that way clear ? Just join a server and the file showing your gear in the main memu will be recreated.
