Does anyone else do this? Fill up a canteen with gas and leave them at places for people to pick them up and drink.

I want to make my engraved 1911 look like this.

Stopping to eat or drink in warzone areas. There is a time and place for that and it isn't in Svetlo or Berezino. Don't play inventory tetris in the airfield hanger or ATC tower. Make room for inventory before you go in to grab loot. If you are spotted or being sniped never stop running, zig zag, whatever, keep running away from the shots or close in and go hands on if you have to.

Another fight my way to get a better gun "gun".

I am seeing this more often after the recent patch. Hovering and/or unreachable items. Is there a trick to getting them?

So far since this patch I have lost several boxes of ammo, and other items that I set down inside of building when doing inventory shuffle. It has got to the point to where I don't trust buildings for this anymore and go outside to do it.

Yep , I tried it and tent vanished after server restarted. Lost a few things but nothing major.

Yet I can put it on the Mosin which is one of the most difficult guns to mount a scope on in real life. Mosin should be limited to PU mount style scopes or short rear site scout style scopes. The long range scope should just have a set of rings that would mount on anything with a picatinny rail/base.

Sniping from well known sniping positions. Sniping with barrel sticking out of window. Sniping from rooftops that don't have cover. Climbing ladders in areas known to be warzones.

Satchel charges and claymores would be a lot more fun.

I wish there were FLIR scopes in this game. Night would be so much more fun.

Prison pocket storage would be great for this game. Store a small knife, spare ammo, handcuff keys or whatever could fit in a square or two that you think you might need once you are captured so your kidnappers couldn't find it. If your character is female it would be a bonus since you would have 2 prison pockets.

Lets see, hands are behind your back, reach down into your pants and get them.

Think about this scenario. Some bandit takes everything from you and handcuffs you. Then there is that perfect moment where he turns his back on you and if you had handcuff keys you could just reach into the prison pocket, get them and you are back in the game!

How many times have you been captured by bandits and had those pockets searched?

Doesn't have to be a kitchen knife. Could always introduce a pocket knife into the game.

This is supposed to be a survival situation. It should be no holds barred.

I can't wait to snipe the safe zone. This is going to be fun.

The biggest problem is that it's too easy to survive at the moment. Game needs some enemy AI. Some sort of government forces that are parachuted in every hour or so onto military bases and airfields to purge everything. You want an M4, long range scope, etc. You have to earn it.

No, I don't even search their corpse either. I have everything I need, plus it could be a trap to get me to move and give away my location.

Can we get some creatures like bears and wolves that can kill us? Would be interesting taking a trek through the woods and having a pack of wolves to fight off.
