    I hope so too, but no avail with that at the moment :( I've sent the message via contact form on the site and wrote a post in the thread related to community, there's but no replies to it. I afraid no, never did organics. But I can work with textures or create ammunition models, maybe it can be useful :)

    No, I'm unable to download sample models because BIS sites return 403 to me. Guilty until proven innoctent, my gateway IP appears to be malicious to them, so I don't have access to forums, wikis, download sections and such. Found Editing Tools almost by accident on some fans forum :)But I model for games for almost 8 years and know the requirements to the geometry and polycount. I tried to add as much details as possible without polycount increase. The most complex model is M67 with 778 triangles (it's almost spherical and safety ring affects numbers too), others have about 300-400 of triangles. With a maximum scene complexity in modern engines around 1-5 millions of triangles I think it's ok, you won't have more than 10 of these objects in scene anyway. LODs may be the option if any problems arise, of course.

    Just add the bottle of water and one can of food. If you even have bandages and painkillers form the start, it means that you've had minimally prepared yourself for surviving, and it's obvious that you should have food and water too in that case. From different POV, food and water reservoirs of any kind are more common than medical supplies even in Chernarus, so food and water makes sense there too.

    Unfortunately, not. I used the "contact the team" form on the website, and there is no answer at the moment. Maybe I'll have to PM them directly. Any ideas who in the crew have responsibilities close to this topic? There's a special clip to load 5 cartridges at once. They were designed for quick load the rifles with un-detachable mags, but are applicable to a standard version as well. I decided to make a mag because the clip holds only 5 rounds, but magazine holds full ten. Here's a demonstration of loading Enfield with a clip. Not yet :) But the models are fast to export, I had a sneak preview on how the exporting is made and have BIS Editing Tools and ArmA Toolbox installed and ready to action. Lol'd :) jk_scowling had an innovative idea about this :) There will be some addition soon, in next 1-2 days.

    Seen a bunch of zombies spawned in a barn and stuck. 1-2 of them walked out and began wandering as usual, 4-6 others just stood in there glitched in one another. Also spotted the zombie in regular ArmA 2 mission :D I SAW HOW THE INFECTION STARTED

  12. We play for DayZ not for too long but already found out that there's some lack of models in mod, and devs stated it several times too. So we decided to put some effort into mod development and contribute to it with some models. We started with models that are clearly absent in mod by now, so we can be sure they will be useful for the devs. So, here they are. Lee Enfield magazine. At the moment, SMLE ammo is represented as pile of cartridges and shares the same model with CZ550 ammo. IRL Enfield utilize detachable magazines or clips that assist cartridges insertion into the mag. So we made this model for SMLE magazine. Makarov pistol (PM) magazine. In DayZ they're currently represented as generic green bags, some sort of placeholder. We tried to fix that and made the model of magazine for it. Winchester cartridges. In DayZ 1866 utilize 12-gauge slugs, which is not correct. IRL it utilize .44 Henry cartridges since Winchester 1866 is not a shotgun, it's a rifle. So we made a specific "pile of cartridges" for it. Canned meat. It's called "Zavtrak turista" (tourist's breakfast) in ex-USSR, and is almost legendary in here. So we decided that it may be a good addition to the mod. It may restore 300 of blood instead of 200 since it's made from meat, not beans :) Condensed milk can. Very popular and beknown conserved food as well. This design became a stereotype for every condensed milk trademark and is very common among tourists and survivors in there. So it went into 3D Max as well. MRE, "Meal, Ready-to-Eat". Military field ration. I think, this can be found in military structures, on zombie soldiers and such (obvious). It provides about 1200kcal (1/3 of daily consumption) and balanced, hence it may restore 400-500 of blood. Some alternative to a meat, easier, but more risky to obtain. M18 smoke grenades. Another replacement to a green bags, nothing special to add about them :) M67 grenades. All the models use as few polygons as it was possible without losing the details. If interested, I may provide with specific numbers, in general, it's about 300-600 triangles in ammo models and about 200 in cans models.

    Let there be amphetamines then! :) Anyway, the medical system can be expanded, I think: 1) Maybe implement the system like in HaH. There you have two HP bars, represented orange and red. The red one represents your overall health and maximum of damage you're able to take. It regains very slowly and hard. The orange one is consumed when you get hurt, when it drops to zero, you fall unconsciuos and then the red HP is affected. Orange bar repleshished by food, simple healing and over time. The main idea behind this is to create a distinction between how strong health the person have overall and how the body is damaged. 2) In RL morphine doesn't magically heal fractures. It may be considered as a temporary relief, but it have nothing to do with broken bones themselves. This may be like this. When you broke a bone, you get a morphine shot to fast recover and end the battle, but then you have to apply a splint and wear it some time to get the bone to regrow. Also, morphine is a painkiller too, so it should be interchangeable with ordinary painkillers and vice versa. For example, morphine take off the "pain" status too, and painkillers may also take off the "broken bone" status (maybe you have to take 2-3 of them to gain an effect). 3) Characters are marathone runners now. Can run many kilometers without fatigue and then quickly recover the breath. 4) Tranquilizers to calm down when panicked. May also help to stabilize aiming but in pay of reduced running speed.
  14. May worth a try, I think. How this will affect the actual gameplay? I mean, crosshair texts, map marks and such. Also you will be able to look at sides members in the server lobby, it may be not such a good thing.
