Yeah I find I have the same problem, mostly with full-capacity servers. Though it's something I'm used to now. You can just Alt-Tab out and let it do its thing, as that won't stop it.

I don't see a problem with this, given that these servers don't have any connection with the HIVE. Though I figure there's a particular reason Rocket wants to see what all the servers are doing performance-wise, statistics, or whatever. -

I'm non-aggressive I will stay low and watch them for a bit - work out where they're headed + if they're a bandit if possible. If they've seen me, I'll steer clear and keep an eye on them. If they've seen me and point their gun at me for too long, I'll spin around and blast them with my .45. Because it feels cool to do it like that. -

I equip everyone wtih M249 SAWs, even the snipers. Those who haven't earned their stripes are given Crowbars Our tactics are often to not stop shooting until we die of starvation None of us carry backpacks, and no supplies in them. We use mules, who are people who have surrendered to the mighty tsunami of lead, to carry all our supplies. If they run, we re-commence shooting and on the occasion we stop. -

I've had this a couple of times, though I only seem to get it in the 10minutes or so before a server restart. Can't say I've experienced it anyelsehow

I agree entirely with your suggestions for a harsher environment. It would make the game far more interesting battling the elements all the time, not to mention it'd give a serious downside to them snipers who sit for hours in one spot, just alt-tabbing back in every couple of minutes to see if there's anyone to shoot. I remember the most fun I ever had in this game was back when food and water wasn't spawning, and I had to hunt down animals and constantly refill my canteen (of which I had to gain through zombie loot). It gave me a constant objective, and my military assault rifle felt like it was simply reassurance in travels to survive. Once I got a gun it wasn't about how many people could I shoot before I died; but rather, how long will it help me do what I need to do to survive the conditions? I'd love to see harsher chernarus so that this sort of adventure could happen all over again, all the time.

This is a pretty skewed perspective on humanity. Reality is that murderers and psychopaths would quickly become ostracised by the rest - the funcitonal part, of humanity. The reason why people shoot on sight here is because A) Communication is so rudimentary B ) Teamwork is not a strong enough element beyond: more firepower + extra set of eyes aka. all are just things that help you kill the other players better C) It's a game. Games are where normal standards are not in force, as there's no actual consequence for killing the other guy's character. Humans are social creatures and strive for society. Like most other creatures. Have -you- been outside recently? It's pretty disheartening to see so many people who think misanthropism is cool, hip, right - whatever. I just wish it would stick to the internet (which it doesn't). More on topic. I'm more toward saying that the community isn't really that bad. For me atleast. I play on UK 22 exclusively, and have come to know familiar faces and who there is to trust. Ofcourse, strangers come and go, but none of them appear to be trolls or mindless cod-kiddies/bf3nubs/assholes/kiddies or whatever we want to label a very generic group of people of whom to qualify under a very generic criteria. Just last night, a friend and I were looting through Elektro in the dark, where there were also 5 or 6 other complete strangers doing the same. No one shot on sight. A short while after, as we were leaving we noticed two guys coming in over the hills with a sniper and rifle - where they opened fire on the town, but everyone worked together and took them down immediately with only one casualty. Made some friends and continued our journey to Berezino.
