Funny you should mention that, I'm just chatting with Sovlet now and he suggested the same thing, and I think it's a great idea. We were thinking about enlisting fun-loving players to play at the same time as us and pose as hit-men, in a way. We'd give them the option to spend the time hunting us as targets - in a way that's an addtion to the series. By that I mean, guys who aren't just trying to win all the time, but attempt charismatic stand-offs, as opposed to sneaky 1.5km snipes. Things that are fun to watch. We'd get to know the screen names of the other guys, and then we have instantly recognisable bandits, from our perspective. It might be a fun dynamic. I've only been thinking about it for about fifteen minutes now, really. I might change my mind, or how it works - who knows

For those curious Season 2 will be on its way within the next two weeks. Andy went on holiday and got ill instead of having fun, so we're just waiting for him to feel better! We'll be probably filming it this weekend, assuming he's still alive come then. This means you can expect it to be about pretty soon. Two weeks will be the absolute latest. I want to get the first episode out 2 or 3 days after filming has finished. Furthermore, we'll likely be releasing a few teasers here and there to keep you in the loop. We really appreciate all the support you've shown via the Youtube Channel and here on the forums. I encourage you to comment and chat with us, as it really lets us know we're doing dandy! Edit: I also added the short promo we made for the series to the original post for your enjoyment!

I guess I shouldn't be telling you about how I call shotgun shells bullets, clips, rounds and magazines all the time. Infact, I just use whatever word I want. Sometimes I call them things. -
I'll link you a couple of threads I've used to give me a more stable FPS recently - http://dayzmod.com/f...-in-big-cities/ Can't find the others but I'll give a quick run down of some other things you can do: TO DO Documents > Arma 2 : You should see a two CFG files that you can opened with notepad - "ArmA2" ArmA2OA" There are then another two for your profiles on both Operation arrowhead (OA) and your standard ARMA 2. These aren't CFG files, but respectively "ARMA2PROFILE File" and ARMA2OAPROFILE File" For me, they're both named "Scerun" as that's my user profile. Now open up every one of these and do the following for each one: ARMA2 CFG GPU_MaxFramesAhead=10000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; I think that's what they used to say. Regardless of what htey used to say, change them both to the number 1. Like this: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; Save and close the file. ARMA2OA CFG Do the exact same as the ARMA2 cfg. Change: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=10000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; to: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; Save up and close! *PROFILE NAME* ARMA2PROFILE File Scroll all the way to the bottom and find the line named: sceneComplexity=*NUMBER* (E.G 300000) Change this to 75000, or 100000. The lower the number, the lower the number of polygon per scene (or something). This'll give you better performance in towns, especially Cherno/Elektro. At the very least it'll give you a more stable FPS in these areas. sceneComplexity=100000 Save up and Close. *PROFILE NAME* ARMA2OAPROFILE File Do the exact same as what you did with your other Profile settings. Scroll to the bottom and find: sceneComplexity=*NUMBER* (E.G 300000) Change it to sceneComplexity=100000 Save up and close. FINALLY The final thing you need to do it right click all of these files go to Properties. Makes sure all the files are "Read Only" Click Okay and you're done. Changing the TERRAIN DETAIL value in-game will reset the "SceneComplexity=" line Now I'm aware that you'll only need to edit the OA files, but I went ahead and did it all, because fuck yeah. Some people have experienced massive boost in FPS with this. I know I recieved another few FPS at the most, but in general my FPS is a lot more stable.

I'd like to see movement whilst changing, but a slower pace than the sprint. Though, from what I've heard in the past is that this feature is nailed firmly into the Arma 2 engine and can't be changed through modding.

Real skill is busting in there with a hunting shotgun and only 2 shots of pellets and leaving moments later as the victor, and several beans richer.

Oh man. Finding people who won't shoot you on sight... Now that there'll be a challenge. Then again, I've found plenty of people who are friendly if you use voice chat. If you talk a lot over voice chat, and don't sound too hardcore I find people are more comfortable with the notion you're not gonna kill them. Once they start chatting back, I take it as a good sign. Then again, it doesn't always work, and it only takes for it to fail once for your fuck to be shitted up Finding weapons... The Double-barreled hunting shotgun was my favourite weapon for a long time, and the Winchester a while before that. You find ammo for those guns everywhere, so it makes them great for taking out Zombies and they're really decent in a firefight if you're smart. Best place to find those guns is often in barns, and farmyards. Apartment buildings - there are some in Cherno and Berezino, for example - are a good place to find a sidearm like a .45 revolver, in my experience.

All of this would be great. I'd definitely like to see fixing of the bug for relogging for full ammo. Having an M249 SAW, I don't actually need more than one 200rnd belt, because I never use over 200 shots in one play. Whether reset through DC, or just taking a break every now and then. Ofcourse, I like to carry three 200rnd belts, because I like to say "I HAVE 600 ROUNDS LEFT" when we ammo count in my group, whilst all the others have a measly 90. Pah!

Sounds like you need antibiotics! from what I can tell, they don't spawn inside the actual medical boxes in hospitals, but on the floor instead

I often find matches at super markets, nowadays. Hunting Knives and Hatchets spawn pretty well in the industrial areas. Though they can pretty much spawn anywhere. -
Yep, used Premiere Pro CS3 for the most part. I used After Effects CS4 only for the first 10 seconds, to achieve that effect with the slitting.

Wow, thanks for the nice words guys! A couple of people have said that the song doesn't necessarily suit the theme of Dayz, but then others have said it works perfectly so I guess it comes down to personal artistic taste (sec, just puked saying them two three words)
