I understand that shaking occurs when: you have recently been sprinting (this include crouch-sprinting) You are in pain and need painkillers Anyone of these fit the bill?

That sucks like hell. I hope its audible range is reduced way down to keep it even remotely disirable. Kind of a shame really, I always witnessed that gun as the great equaliser between long term survivors and new-spawns. Effective against snipers due to it's great range and accuracy, and deadly to be hit with. Someone will need to confirm this from in-game, though!

Running out of ways to say thank you, but I really mean it. It's very humbling. As for the choice of the song, there's definite ambivalence as to its selection. Some people think it suits, others disagree. Now, it's not about a lack of creativity. There are a couple of things I was trying to achieve with this promotional-shindig. First and foremost, is that it has to be easy to remember, and short. The music was chosen because it's a great track with great popularity - easy to remember. I could've gone for slow-motion and slow, sad music, but that's been done to death by this point. I wanted something that was less common - so I went for it. Ofcourse, this may not be Vietnam, but Vietnam was just as much as horror as I imagine the Zombie Apocalypse to be. Yet Vietnam still had this great charismatic vibe from the music scene that accompanied the era. In a series that aims to be entertaining, I want to get across that certain charismatic vibe, so that people know that what we have is interesting. I want people to watch it, because that would make it worth the trouble! The Vietnam war was fought by (in some number) conscripts. People who hadn't a choice to whether or not to go to war. I like to think, in the same way, all the survivors we play as are concripts to the apocalypse. No choice in being there, but we make the most of it. sometimes we have fun, other times we're distraught. I don't want to make a massive 1000 word essay, but indeed I'd love to get a discussion going over this, because my point of view is certainly not the only one.

I feel dirty for doing it. However, it seems people only want to click something if it either has lots of slow-mo, and sad music, or is nailed with the word epic. I apologise for being such a scumbag - I'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN I PROMISE

I might be wrong, in your case, but my friend had the same side-borers with his footage when he was FRAPSing the game in windowed-mode. Going fullscreen would give a fullsized image. What do you use to edit with? :] Experimenting with sequence set-up and render settings will get you the best quality footage when you put it onto YT

Playing at night - Concerning Zombies and what-not.
Scerun replied to Tenderness's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
At night you make less sound and produce less on the visiblity meter, so that's why you're getting about Zombies a lot easier. Other than that, I don't believe there are any other major changes in relation to them -
I'm sorry to hear that

I don't believe you

Gee, a meme

Thanks :] Off the top of my head, I remember seeing that you could record for 10 minutes at a time with the free version of Bandicam, and it also places a "Bandicam" watermark across the top of the footage.

Because your camping likely caused them to think twice

For the millionth time magazines are NOT clips!

What if I call them things? -
Night time isn't the problem, it's lack of decent torch functionality that sucks. you need to be able to run with a flashlight properly - until this is done, no one will really enjoy night time to its fullest. It'll be reserved for NVGers, who can travel through the night at full speed without burden, for now.

Rocket Defence Force and Anti-Rocket Alliance ASSEMBLE
Scerun replied to mattlightfoot's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Can I supply the weapons? Oh please let me - I've dreamt of making millions this way! please! -
*Point towards Sovlet* We should really forbid him from using anything more powerful than a makarov. He seems to be making a habit of accidentally shooting team-mates, you know! D:

Gosh dangit. Of all the places for a mispell to weave its way in. The ship has set sail now, and I wish it the best of luck. EDIT: *Salutes said ship*

Suggestion To Stop Boredom (Idea from Ammo) "Degrading Weapons"
Scerun replied to ChinWooMan's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I like this idea a lot. It would need some work, and there would have to be varying factors that damage different items. E.g. Shooting your gun will cause wear on its instruments (without proper maintenance). Taking a lot of hits from zombies/guns might cause damage to your backpack. Certainly, there are no issues with weapons degrading in am atter of hours. Ofcourse it isn't realistic, but then players don't exist in the game world for 24hours of each day, doing things, so you need to accurately depict that with degradation that happens sooner than it might in the real world. -
I look forward to see how much this will affect player interaction, knowing that there's no alt-F4 solution to the gunfire. Whatever happened to the "DO NOT POST MESSAGES OF SUPPORT" request that usually accompanied these updates? It was working SO well. One last thing, is there going to be an incoming substitute for respawning? Aka. Suicide + accompayning animation. I heard you mention it in a recent interview - can't say I was expecting it so soon.

Tried this? http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ See the green bar at the top of the page? Click the left side link and download that. Extract it anywhere and then launch the .exe inside. It might say "Wrong CD Key", but just click okay and continue with the process! They say SixLauncher automatically does that beta patch, but I'm not so sure myself. Good luck"

Just finished the first majority of filming for season 2. Definitely a lot of things you folks are going to love! Also wanna put a thanks (a massive thanks) out to Josh for participating with us, and being patient during a one and a half hour set-up, only to never get to join up with us in game! :[ Thanks Josh!

Ran for ages to finally find a decent sized city and broke a bone, how do i heal it?
Scerun replied to joeycookson's topic in New Player Discussion
If you find a hospital, break open the front windows and raid the cardboard boxes inside for Morphine and vcarious other medical supplies. Use the morphine to fix your broken leg - good luck! and once you die, you do indeed lose everything -
I'd love the implementation of infectious zombie disease, but not quite like you describe it. I'm fond of the notion, as it'd give us more purposeful medical items, and it'd increase zombie difficultly in an authentic and comprehendable fashion all in one sweep. higher difficulty, without necessarily higher frustration.

This is way better than any Ghillie suit! Now go grab an anti materiel rifle! It may be suspicious for you to sit behind a bush as a cow and prowl the treelines, so I'd recommend open fields as much as possible!

Me and my friends tents, vehicles are gone!
Scerun replied to anttonoo's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Hackers can have the ability to see all vehicles on the map, so if you parked your cars near your tents, I reckon they ran over your tents before scuttling away with your cars. -
Sweet, I'll PM you with details when I know the exact time we're recording. It'll either be late this afternoon/early evening (GMT) or tomorrow afternoon/early evening.
