    best player/videos in dayz?

are you kidding me? the first video I watched (Rumble in Berizino) and he's leaning into walls to see through them. You call that a good player? He's as bad as the hackers. He certainly isn't a good player, just another glitching scumbag who can't play the game properly. Honestly, you people have a warped sense of what being a skilled player involves.

    What to do with cheaters?

This is the major drawback with DayZ not telling you the names of other players, really the only solution is to give a "you where killed by NAME" message upon death.

What's considered the lowest of the low for you?

I had a good laugh about this the other day, I got killed by some guy with an m4, no big deal... I wanted to start fresh anyway. I respawned in Berezino on the docks, looked down and saw 4 dead fresh spawns at my feet and then got axed in the back. I didn't stop laughing for around 10 minutes.

    40 person scenario/event (Hardcore server)

I like the idea of a server that bans you after you die. That would be true hardcore.

    Remove Zombies until they're fixed.

I find it equally silly that anyone would want zombies removed as I do that anyone would defend the current implementation of them. As such, this thread cracks me up.

What's considered the lowest of the low for you?

I've done this before, they don't care about dying... since they have nothing, so I find it's the best way to deter them from trying to rush me with fists out. Gives them time to think about what they've done while they crawl around looking for a suicide method. Kneecapping innocent freshspawns though? Yeah that's low.

What's considered the lowest of the low for you?

Hacking, glitching, 3pp abuse, duping, being a CoD kiddy, server hopping, ghosting, being an attention wh*re on twitch/youtube, combat logging. All of those are cancers on this community, there are a handful of good twitch and youtubers, but the majority are overwhelmingly awful people from what I've seen. The majority give people the wrong impression of this game, abuse the other major issues in this game heavily.

Quick And Simple Camo From The Go

I've been having good luck lately mixing DPM vest, Summer hunter trousers, Brown hoody and a brown radar cap. Provides good "long grass" camo, enough that people have walked past me within 10 meters and not spotted me, even on 3pp. It's hard to go wrong with greens and browns, greens being more ideal for out of town and browns and greys being better around town, Just use common sense really... That said, I don't worry too much about my town camo, simply because I try and spend the least amount of time possible in populated areas.
  9. I'm not going to lie, I've shot people in the legs purposefully before.. however it was for tactical reasons. I was near krutoy cap, waiting for a friend who'd died and respawned at the factory, he was running south along the coastal road and I spotted 4 armed players running towards him, I knew they'd spot him if I'd left them unmolested, so I waited till they'd past my hiding spot and put 3 mosin rounds (only had iron sights, I'm unsure if I hit any) towards them at around 250 meters, then ducked behind cover. Using their confusion to create a distraction long enough for my friend to slip past in the tree line. They hunted me for around 10 minutes, but I managed to evade them... or so I thought. Then later in KamyshovoI had two people of the group of four moving across my line of sight (I'd sat on over watch, opposite the foot house on the hill while my friend looted) obviously unaware of my location and setting themselves up to ambush my unarmed friend when he came out of a building. I made sure my first round hit the guy bringing up the rear's leg, breaking it. I didn't kill him right away after that, I ducked back behind cover and flanked around 20 degrees, knowing his friend would attempt to defend his wounded comrade, I put two rounds into the uninjured player, then one into the wounded one who was attempting to crawl behind cover. I then had my friend run out of his building, loot the bodies and we both retreated before the other two players could zero in on our location. Not really griefing, but the tactic worked out pretty well.
  10. I snipe. It isn't proper PvP, it's just griefing, it's fun, but it's still griefing. PvP implies the other play is involved, Sniping is to PvP what a punching bag is to a boxer.

    Difference of M4A1 scopes

When I've used an M4, which is fairly rare, I've used BUS + ACOG as the situation called for them.

i need motivation to start playing again

Gear comes and goes, sometimes you die sometimes you kill, sometimes you might even interact with people... if you're scared of losing the equipment, you'll miss out on all the fun. Edit: Stop making me hungry, it's 5:30am and there's no food around till i go shopping in a few hours.

How To Help A Stranger In DayZ Standalone

Fresh spawns are never friendly, they have bugger all to lose.. so they'll try and dick move to get your stuff. Shoot them in the leg, then bandage them and leave them crawling for hours if they try to punch you in the face, it's the only way they'll learn.

    opinions on a streamer

I'd pick it up, just long enough to drop it into the ocean. But, streamers are attention wh*res, so long long as people are paying attention to them, they'll do just about anything.

    why do YOU play DayZ?

Honestly? A friend got me hooked. Flawed though the game may be, it's a fantastic idea and also a cool little sociology experiment.

    How do you shoot?

I've been doing no-backpack runs a lot lately, means I rarely carry more than 40 rounds of ammo, sometimes as little as a couple of loose rounds if I've been forced into an engagement which lasted longer than I would have liked. By doing that it forces me to pick my shots and by having only a handful of rounds available, it's helping me modify some aggressive tendencies I have. If I see two guys running down the coast, being typical murderers, or a lone player who has gear I'd like to possess, I have put serious thought up the cost rather than just opening up or waiting in ambush. It also helps encourage me to rob, rather than murder for equipment where possible and has taught me to either retreat or remain unseen if I feel the cost or risks are too high. Honestly, I think the solution to KoS for this game may be as simple as make finding a few rounds of ammo stashed under a bed feel like you've hit the jackpot in Vegas, rather than people running around with 1000 rounds of 5.56 and a hundred or so of 45acp.

    How do you shoot?

Nice to see someone who doesn't just empty their mag at the first sign of movement. I find the best way to interact with players is from a point of complete control, if possible without them being sure of your location. if you're stealthy enough, shooting often isn't required and when it is, you can take your time and pick your shot at will. How unfortunate.

    How do you shoot?

Apology accepted, we all make mistakes. Just don't make a habit of it.

    How do you shoot?

 Come now, surely you can do better than that? Edit: Infact, since you failed to provide context to your post, I choose to assume you're inquiring how many reasons there are for sacriel being a less than ideal role model for aspiring DayZ players. So, in answer to your question; At least that many reasons, yes.
  22. TheScruffyBandit

    How do you shoot?

I'm sorry, I forgot we're contractually obliged to fellate streamers. However, if he's firing from the hip at ranges longer than point blank, he really is doing it wrong. There are a bunch of reasons why Sacriel isn't a particularly impressive example and I'm far too lazy to list them all here... but suffice to say, hip firing in dayZ is a pretty poor idea.
  23. TheScruffyBandit

    How do you shoot?

from a good location, in single accurate rounds while using ironsights or a scope, depending on range. There are seriously people who fire from the hip in this game? Explains why everyone I bump into has the shooting accuracy of an imperial storm trooper. If I'm taken by surprise in a building and using a non-mosin weapon, I'll just mag-dump a target down sights.
  24. TheScruffyBandit

    why do YOU play DayZ?

Luckily this isn't pay to play, their parents credit cards have already been processed and the money used to fund improving DayZ for the long term player base.
  25. TheScruffyBandit

    why do YOU play DayZ?

Then you're missing out on the biggest draw of DayZ; unique, unscripted, dynamic & unpredictable player interactions. Unfortunately KoS is very predictable, the only way to have a non-KoS interaction is to be in 100% control of it currently.
