    Possible future weapons

no G3 or its variants, you make me a sad panda. british SA80 would be fun to see, even if it would be one heck of a noob trap
  2. that was the idea behind my EMT jacket suggestion. (different thread) removing pvp would ruin the game, but having a few things that are known throughout the community as medic wear would be pretty nice. currently my "end-game" is to go around patching people up, no matter who or where they are.

A Suggestion for the helpful inclined

I understand that, however from what I've read the dev team plans on adding even more status conditions, infections, etc. and the more bad stuff that can happen to you, the more stuff you need to carry to deal with it. even with the rather simple needs we have now, many people are already hitting inventory limits. that is the primary reason I arrived at the idea of a restricted inventory, because the more possible bad stuff we get in the game, the harder a time your bandit player is going to have carrying all the things they might need to survive at 100% if nothing else it will make the bandit more inclined to hold up the person, which is at least better than KoS. the other reason I like this idea is that it still leave the grey area of trust in the game, it doesn't remove the PVP aspect of it, but the meaning of it would likely become more valuable as the strain on inventory space and negative conditions increases. This sounds like an idea as well, because the more specialization options you add, the more the relative value of teamplay increases. at the moment, needs are simple and can be sustained by one person alone, which is fine, its alpha, that's to be expected. the more complex the game gets, the more specialists in certain areas will be needed and valued
  4. So a little background: A friend recently tossed the game at me, and I've been enjoying the game so far with a few minor exceptions. In RL I have been an EMT with a volunteer team and am working towards that again in my new area, so I have a pretty strong inclination to help people. the idea is pretty simple, have an EMT or firefighter jacket and pants that is a restricted 8-slot inventory (medical/utility items/kits only) that helps mark you out as someone inclined to help someone rather than an aggressor. this idea is mostly borne out of having been shot 3 times in the last 2 days, once from approaching a bleeding player, the other 2 just for existing. the reasoning behind the restricted inventory is simply to limit its misuse as baits or to build trust by an aggressor, and provide people like myself who like traveling in groups both a useful inventory and a means of displaying our willingness to help. it won't solve all the problems, arses will be arses after all, but could hopefully limit the occurrence of people shooting someone who might want to save your life. additional: this could be extended to a backpack as well, but the jacket/pants were the most important elements of the idea as a way to display intent. please post your own thoughts!
