If it's that easy to google the exploits and cheats, do you think that maybe the Dev team has thought of this as well and are combating them? and what kind of "cheats" do you think you have been a victim of, because i've logged roughly 100 hours and haven't really noticed any sort of cheating problem :/

So the player is completely incapable of not participating on a server where the admin is obviously abusing server reset to gear out unfairly? :) I see that crap going on, I mark it and make sure i never play on it again. I blame both parties :P -

Playing on a server that is designed to reset every hour and a server being manually restarted by an admin for the purposes of loot whoring are a tad different :P not far from different though xD -

Wouldn't it make sense that the mod was never finished because they turned it into a standalone game instead of putting more work into finishing a MOD? I'm sorry, since when is it illegal to decide to start making money off of an idea you developed. I'm assuming they stopped working on the mod because working on the standalone actually involves a profit, and an opportunity to do something awesome. So the argument you make tying the "failure" of the mod to the impending "failure" of the game is kind of ridiculous And if they're not going to finish the game, then why are you here lol. Clearly they're a bunch of liars and not worth your time, so why bother even discussing it? just leave -
...but thats the point. The people that this method is intended to stop from doing what they're doing now are the ones who are simply going to circumvent the implementation of this system. So it really is pointless

You should actually read the book. it brings up excellent points to everything you question :) I mean let's be honest, you and a battalion of soldiers taking on a horde of thousands of zombies after you just watched them survive the most brutal attacks from the most advanced american military technology? Not to mention this gives the people who circumvent this little tweak a significant advantage over people who play the suggested "force VOIP" I see this as an idea with good intentions, but as we all know, the people who don't want to play by the rules never will :)

I just think we can all agree that needing to discern between bandit and friendly rids the game of a very exciting element, which is the not knowing Someone up that-away ^ made a good point. If you can differentiate between the two, then it just becomes a FPS with some survival elements mixed in. The resounding and logical answer to OP's point is "No...we don't" -

Gesundheit! And I have had these problems today when trying to trade with Grimey Rick. Couldnt get my game data to sync up to trade, and only happened when he was in the area :/ was weird

This is how a bandit looks like, for obvious reasons: holy crap that tacvest rules.... that isn't currently in the game is it? never seen it edit: I just realized like 5 seconds after i posted it that I think that's actually a kevlar vest 0.o NOW I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE IT IS! -
Idk I think the whole "you don't know anyone in chernaurus" argument borderlines on it being a strict RP game, which I don't really think is its main purpose. Yes, it has multiple elements of an RP game, but I think RPing in a game like this is really more of a choice rather than a necessity. It's a survival game first, the RPing is up to the player imo :)

Edit: Hmm...now that I read what I wrote you actually have an interesting point. I have to think on this... Edit2: Well the only thing i will strongly disagree with is your argument involving the "friends" aspect of the game. I don't really think this game constitutes being a "lone survivor" game when its an MMO with dynamics like it has :P however, you do bring up a good point about the steam friends aspect. That does actually make sense if you're for one and against the other. I love a good counterpoint :P

So everyone else's opinion is worthless EXCEPT for yours. Do us a favor and try to grow up please :) It depends. I'm leader in my SWTOR guild so sometimes I double up on TS and in game Comms, simply because I'll be discussing business with other guild heads. But I'll admit, there have been a few times me and a couple other guildees just didn't bother exiting out of it and ran with TS operational. Been trying to ween ourselves off of it to get a better experience :D

It's great in theory, but it sure sucks to be the guy who gets offed and you're waiting in the location for half an hour for your other buddy to come back and get you lol. I mean sometimes you think "gosh is he actually coming back?" lol

Agreed. Why do you guys think they put alcoholic beverages in the game? For instances like this for us all to just chill out and have a luke-warm one :D

There is nothing more exhilarating and terrifying in this game than being caught in a firefight you neither started nor anticipated. I love this game
