Well to a certain extent even =- I -= don't want the game to be completely realistic, because let's be honest, there are some things that if we made this game 100% realistic, would really KILL gameplay. For example, stamina would make getting anywhere one hell of a task. And i'm sorry, but my idea of fun is not spending an hour to travel 2km. Don't try to tell me you can sprint non-stop cross country with a full backack, gun, gear, good, etc without getting tired lol. Just an example, but the Devs have to create a fine line between what is good for gameplay and what is good for realism.

Well the game certainly isn't forcing you to be a vampire...so I think i'll blame the player lol

Happened to me yesterday. Rick was shooting his FNX and murdering the hell out of some guy in an ATC and I didn't even know he'd done anything. I was probably 20 meters away. Happened again when he shot the hangar door to screw around and I thought it was someone with an M4 from a distance. It only seems to happen with the FNX for me, so far.

Not really. IV bag is king now, and with the glitches allowing you to eat and drink infinitely there's no point in risking the whole shabang. You would risk getting the wrong bloodtype, and it's just not worth anymore because IV kits are so common and usually everyone running around is already healthy. I feel like this would make a comeback if larger servers were implemented.

Thank you for engaging in the discussion lol :P To be honest, I don't even really know what someone means when they say the devs want DayZ to be "Authentic"....I mean by definition of the word the game is already "Authentic" because it's not a cheap knock-off of itself. :/

Boy it sure hurts when people hit you square in the face with facts, doesn't it? All we're doing is simply countering why people say they think 3pp is more to their liking. I mean it really doesn't give you much more of a FOV unless you're right against a building, and the only reason it does it because it let's you see things you normally wouldn't see, and hey, that's cool, we all like to know more, right? I can dig that. But this whole idea of people who say "Well I like it because it's balanced"....and then we explain how incredibly UNbalanced it is, you simply say that we're "elitists" and think you're "babycore". It's the straight go-to defense every single time. Part of the problem is that most people nowadays have been indoctrinated into thinking that being persuaded to like something else is WRONG! You aren't allowed to change your opinions of something EVER. I love hardcore, so therefor I would like to present an argument to persuade people to stop playing 3pp and come play 1pp. I mean is there a problem with that? That's really all I want to do, and I'm sure Rick feels the same way. I mean we all love DayZ and I'm sure if you encountered someone who didn't enjoy it or hasn't played you would present him with a point of view in an attempt to at the very least convince him of how awesome it is, right? Same could be really said for anything anyone is passionate about. In no way whatsoever have I mocked ANYONE (at least I don't think I have. I'm such a salty bastard sometimes it's easy to forget) in this thread for playing one versus the other. I simply have provided factual statements contrary to those of people making claims for 3pp vs. 1pp. Notice when people said "that's how I prefer to play and I don't know why...it just is" I didn't blast them for having a preference. However, if you're going to sit there and tell us 3pp is balanced, again, it's a whole new ball game, and please be prepared to defend your (in my opinion) ridiculous idea So why don't some of you try to branch out and discover the reasons why 1pp is a way more potentially awesome style of play than 3pp, and be open to a discussion about why maybe what you think is right is wrong, and maybe even convince me that I'm wrong. Some of you here need to stop associating logical discourse and discussion with vitriol and "Attacking your opinion!" 100% of the time. If you like 3pp and give us reasons, be prepared to defend them. Same thing with 1pp and my views. Anyone is allowed to challenge me on anything they want anytime they like, because it's the internet and I can't stop them from doing so. So please...welcome to the real world, where people will ask you questions based off of your beliefs and you sometimes have to back it up if you want to convince someone your way is ideal.

Now for example, you say...."if someone is crowding towards you" it's obviously a hostile action because they're "invading your space". What about the typical gamer who is just out to have fun in a video game? And turns out to be friendly, and does such an action for whatever reason he has? You have got to be kidding me lol.... So what about the guy who gives you plenty of personal space and then shoots you in the face or the back? Or the guy who will get "too close" to you even though he's clearly friendly. There are plenty of passive players who run around you and then run off and do absolutely nothing. Or someone who exhibits all the signs of a person who is friendly, and after adventuring with them, with no signs whatsoever, they suddenly decide to murder you. Did you "sense" that coming? Bet not. And just because it happens sometimes and happens to be right on occasion does not make it concrete. I have met plenty of friendly players who exhibited no friendly tendencies whatsoever, and visa versa. ......really? I mean really? What on earth makes you think that in a video game "a person crouching towards me has hostile intentions!!!!" Maybe they're people just messing around and doing things out of the ordinary because it's...oh i dunno...a video game? Making an assumption based off of your observations and it HAPPENING to be right every once in a while does not make it science. You even use language that indicates you made a guess...an assumption. "It turned out...", or "Was most likely...." So please don't try to tell me that there is some kind of scientific method to "sensing" the intentions of a person in a video game. Sure you can make educated guesses, but my whole point from the beginning was to refute the idea that you can simply "sense" and "come to the resolute conclusion" of a bambi's intentions based off of their actions. That is ALL i wanted to do, but apparently a couple of you have no concept of this idea and need it spelled out in a huge-ass response I mean I hate to sound like I'm spelling out something obvious here but if you're going to sit there and tell me there's some sort of method here you bet I'm going to deny that up and down lol.

You sure showed him buddy lol Anyway, he is kind of right. I mean even most altis life servers and arma 3 servers have a script running to check all the gear on players and can detect spawned-in items or hacked items. Maybe they should hit whoever wrote those scripts up for some info lol

The only reason they call it hardcore is because for some reason when they released this game they made a 3pp version. What do you WANT them to call it? "3pp mode" and "1pp mode"?
