I have a small suggestion that should help both sides. How about implement small amount of new servers "labeled as safe" (although it won't technically be safe), like regular or hardcore For example, perhaps when players die they keep one or two items with them (bind items to account on death) so they don't have to search all over again and KOS won't be as bad (but can still happen). Although if you were to get handcuffed or robbed or fall unconscious, you can lose everything Like if I died I would bind a weapon and a backpack. Now I know a lot of people won't like this but than again like I said go play on regular or hardcore servers. Just implement like 2-3 servers as a test. Also I'm sure the community can add to this as well.

this is a known bug sorry for you to lose your rifle i had a time where i had a rifle as well and when i changed servers it wasn't there anymore, i feel your pain

yeah but i like y our original location. main reason is to have legitimate trades since some gun attachment parts are other gear are rare.

Possible I suppose once the game updates so we can start making camps.

I think it would be nice to have one small safe town near the spawn area, where players can chill or trade. Just a small location, maybe have npc soldiers guard it. Well I know most of you might say no but I couldn't help think about it. Or I suppose we can still drop trust trade.

I mean if people want to limit KoS, maybe make a few servers where when you die you get to keep your weapon and lose everything else? Well something like that...

I just hope the patch will resolve the issue so I can just join any server with the lowest ping.

So I noticed that there are hardcore servers and didn't know what the difference between the normal one. I looked up some threads and couldn't find one that really told me the difference. If I missed one, please link me. But so far the only thing I gathered was hardcore can only be played in first person. Is there anything else to know about hardcore server? Thanks.

it's not a problem and I admit I was a bit hasty and frustrated at the game because nothing was being saved and I wasted the past 2 hours. maybe this happens often but this is my first time playing dayz i never played the mod either for arma 2. i started a few days ago and I found decent gear but looks like it was all for naught. but hey man, it's alpha.

What you say is true but if you want to make a better community there are many other ways to say use the search function instead of saying this is the "bane of my existence"... etc. As you can see I am a new user here that doesn't use any sort of forums often but perhaps you didn't think of that first but decided to say whatever was on your mind. You have 1700 posts so obviously are more familiar with the forums than I am. I didn't have a go with you, I actually thanked you for showing me the link and I did read through it but next time take consideration of new forum users?

Maybe so but for some people it worked, but unlucky people like me I really have to start over. Looks like the lucky few managed to reload an old and worked... My character screen has me with all of the gear I found but when I join a server, I have no items
