  1. So for the past two nights I've been lurking around the West, specifically Myskino and NW Evac. I've also had the opportunity to be a minutes walk from the Myshkino Camp during two restarts, and found nothing apart from SKS' and heaps of weapon attachments. That, combined with the fact that it seems almost impossible not to get a whole zombie train on you inside it, and I have to wonder if its worth the hassle. It seems to be one of the worse bases I've come across.

    Will DayZ SA die out to Mods just like the Mod did?

    I want Epoch personally, however with more extreme survival aspects. The reason is that the base construction in it was absolutely awesome, and it made the game feel a whole load more dynamic. Personally, I feel that more maps would be a better contribution than more mods though; seeing as we will get base construction anyway, and that's all I wanted. I would absolutely love a DayZ SA Takistan map. I know the mountains of Takistan like the back of my hand, I've played so much of it. Just imagine the possibilities.
  3. BOWS. AND A HORN OF GONDOR! But on the serious, non-awesome side, bows and 120 man servers. Bows will be just awesome in my opinion - all the way from crap to the MOTHERFUCKING AWESOMEST. And meeting people up in the deep north, too. Might actually encourage people to travel sensibly, rather than run like idiots.

    That is why you take care, and walk. While Boromir is usually not cautious, even he knows the perils of small drops.

    Mosin or M4?

    Both shine. I take both whenever I can. I may not be able to sprint that much, but I walk a lot of the time. Realism. And keeping situational awareness is much easier - I am far more likely to spot an ambush while walking then running. It means I can sprint, as well. That's when I'm in the north. of course, coastal is undoubtedly M4 all the way. The Mosin shines against unskilled players, but it's not good for skilled players. Let me explain. A while ago, I had an M4 with iron sights, roaming elektro, you know, being the Guardian again. I heard M4 shots, saw one of my impromptu buds fall over, and promptly ran. I found that their position was somewhere in the field near the power station. I talk to the edge of the firestation, leaned out (just a bit) and moved back in, forming a pattern. Eventually, they tried to get me. Didn't work. I saw they were in a bush, and let all hell loose. I think I must have let off 17 Mosin rounds into that bush. It killed them, and probably scared them while they were alive. The point is it really only shines against unskilled players - they were really unskilled. The M4 shines - first in CQB, and as you develop, medium-long range as well. It is excellent for flanking those Mosin pussies near NEAF, or going toe-to-toe with a squad of Mosins and shotguns. It helps at night, as you can see better, and it helps with ammo organisation, especially as you get 40 rnd and coupled mags.

    You bought an early access alpha. Not even an Alpha, an early access alpha. Logically, it will not be the entire product. Logically, work is slow. This is because bugs are prevalent - this is because it is early access alpha. There are few zombies - this is because it is an early access alpha. They are working with the netcode, because they must optimise it, and also because they've changed from the default Arma 2 architecture. There are few weapons and items. This is because it is an early access alpha. This is because they have put work and effort into the main weapon of the game, the M4, in an effort to make it basically fully customisable, so that it's framework can be used for other weapons. “DayZ Early Access is your chance to experience DayZ as it evolves throughout its development process. Be aware that our Early Access offer is a representation of our core pillars, and the framework we have created around them. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. We strongly advise you not to buy and play the game at this stage unless you clearly understand what Early Access means and are interested in participating in the ongoing development cycle.” Straight from the source. If you bought this game, you would have seen this. You complain about a lack of content, a weak playerbase, and other stuff - what else do you expect? You know it's am early access alpha, right? You read that, right? I just do not understand. I cannot comprehend how people can know that, and still complain about a lack of content and a poor playerbase. They're building the core framework of the game, meaning Chernarus plus, customisable weapons, and customisable players. Ergo, they shall not focus on much more.

I would love to see bullet wounds get infected, and if you haven't bandaged, especially if you do a lot of prone crawling which happens a lot in DayZ firefights. Could add a whole new medical dimension to the game. The simple answer is, M4 needs realistic accuracy, realistic muzzle velocity, realistic power, and working attachments for me to truly enjoy it. Same goes for every gun in this game. Same goes for the melee weapons. People loved the DayZ mod so much because it was based off a military simulator, thus, the aspects of shooting were realistic, and made it seem hardcore.

    Don't Allow Zombies to Climb Ladders

    Not climbing ladders as such, but climbing walls? That'd be freaky - you're safe, looting your little apartment, with a guy watching the stairs, but all of a sudden a bloody ZOMBIE pops in through the window! Ha, that'd be epic! I may have a twisted sense of epic, but it's pretty cool, either way. Also the reason why we have these two concepts of zombies - The George Romero zombies, and the 28 days/weeks zombies, is because... These are literally the two types of zombies. They were there first. George's was there first (at least, the first that was popular) and 28 days was there first. It's quite obvious that DayZ is the 28 days zombies. While they don't vomit blood everywhere, they... run. And they were infected by a virus. Ergo, they fit into that class of zombie. And in 28 days, the infected could easily climb a literal mountain of shopping trolleys.

    Six hours of "stuffed"

    Is happening at the moment for me too, I'm healthy all the time. Then again, whenever I find food, I eat a bit, but even with the last few days of me constantly running around the North, no towns in sight, I haven't had to eat. I'm happy at the moment.

    Radios and Mics

    I'm going to start a radio channel, online at 5-6 pm AEST. Special guests will include the cat, a dog, a bandit, a hero, a medic, RhinoCrunch, and a zombie. We will also play Austrian Death Machine. It'd be kinda cool if we could get an earpiece, but if we didn't have an earpiece, the sound would come out through direct.

    There was limited penetration in Arma 2: OA. Both of walls and vehicles.
