There are shedloads of gun spawns, if you know where to look.

Although the system is buggy, where you are hit effects the damage to items in the slots. You don't always bleed when you are hit.

Usually find them in fire stations and the industrial building with the lathes.

But there is no third option, why only easier to get guns or harder to no guns, what about like the direction the devs are taking as it is now?

My friends and I changed servers as the one we were on was very laggy, the new one we joined was a abusive clan server who kicked everyone. I had to sit and wait before I could join a new server. I didn't mind because this doesn't happen often (in fact it has only happened to me once) and I would rather wait a while than have to deal with ghosters. Even if this system does occasionally effect people playing fairly, it still isn't strict enough to deter server hoppers. I think this is more to deal with Ghosting than hopping anyway. Hopping will be reduced more when loot re-spawns rather than at server startup. As others have said, all the info you need to avoid joining the wrong server is displayed in the browser.

Once you figure out the loot tables for the current build you will be all set, certain buildings spawn certain loot and each build it changes around a bit. Most of the spawn points have buildings that spawn melee weapons and a place to find water pretty close to them. It's just a matter of figuring out good starting strategies. Also don't hang about at the coast use the dayzdb map and head to the more inland towns. Also as loot only spawns on a server restart, when you look for a server to join pick one that is early morning the majority (but not all) of the servers are 8am after a restart so pick one that is morning when you join, as it will increase your chance of finding loot.

I think the point of his post is that he is learning that not combat logging makes the game better, yes it sounds like he is a pretty bad player but is learning to be better. Speaking to you directly; why do you feel it's the devs responsibility to restrict your behaviour and make you a better player, you can choose to be better you don't need it forced on you.

Yes I would class this as combat logging, you logged out to avoid combat. Problem you have here is this would not save you anyway, your character stays in the game for 30 seconds after you log out. If the guy was going to kill you, you will more than likely be dead next time you log in anyway. You should be careful posting stuff like this on the forum, unless you are just trolling, as people go mental in the head over this issue. I see this is your first post and that you are new to the game, so I hope the people that post after me try to cut you a little slack.

Yeah and who knew soda was so bad for your health. I tried to drink a Pipsi on a laggy server, got the receiving message then my legs broke, Fortunately my morphine was in my backpack. Lost some good gear in my pockets, not keeping anything important in my pants anymore.

Surely the I hate 3pp cry cry stuff should have stopped, when hardcore mode was added. Don't like 3pp so much, don't play on servers that allow it. 3pp makes it feel more mmo and 1pp makes it feel more like a shooter, I play both but use a 1pp server when I want to play only 1pp. on normal servers I switch between modes when a mode suits best for the situation. I am still seeing loads of complaints about 3pp and it is so annoying. Go play hardcore, simple problem solved, now move on with your life.

1200 mosin rounds would be 6 ammo boxes or 60 inv slots. Some questions: Where do I find the backpack you were using? Why do you devote your life to finding mosin ammo and ammo boxes? I think this would cause a problem for people when a server restarts or a connection drops. I never intentionally log out in a town or military area but sometimes it can't be avoided. I wouldn't like not knowing where I was going to be after a restart.The only major improvement to the server hopping problem, will be when loot respawning is added. We just have to wait it out, I don't see much point in implementing temporary solutions, to something that is already being worked on.

I spent 2 weeks searching for a LR scope in the end my buddy found one in a barracks. I came across a few m4 red dot scopes during my search and the occasional acog. PU scopes are all over the place if you know where to look. In a youtube vid I watched, a guy said damaged LR scopes pull to the left.

Gas mask does not necessarily mean bandit but quite often it does, some nice people may wear payday masks but I wouldn't trust anyone in one. Some people try to dress friendly looking and some people try to look bandity but you can't judge a book by it's cover. I personally don't wear masks or helmets because I think they make you look more banditesque but we are all different, it's not like there is or could be a rule about it. Besides even if it was an unwritten rule bandits wear masks, Heros wear cowboy hats, you would still get some bandits in cowboy hats in disguise or some non bandits in masks because they didn't know.
