Well I was on a server with 2 friends just now, the server loaded our players but when we rejoined after a server restart, we were reset. The explanation here doesn't fit with the problem. We joined and were not reset, so the server must have had a connection to the database at that time, the server restarted and we rejoined the same server, we had been on prior and lost our characters, so the server had lost it's connection. This has happened multiple times to me since the patch. So if the only issue is certain servers can't connect to the hive, this would not have happened. I now live in fear of server restarts, as I have been reset this way many times, not just when changing servers.

Don't think you should be putting up peoples steam ID's or making accusations on the forum.

I would rather be killed by 10 Idiots than risk killing one nice guy. I have met many nice people by risking to trust them and I don't really want to murder anyone nice. I have traded and helped and been helped many more times than I have been murdered. I don't care if an idiot kills me, it's not real and all of my best experiences of the game so far have been related to trusting people who didn't betray me. Don't get me wrong, I know you have to be careful and that there are a lot of griefers and noobs running around but don't give up on your humanity.

Sorry don't take this as a personal attack but where do you get your stats for fists? In my experience the fists although they have a good chance to knock down an opponent, seem to do far less damage than all the melee weapons, I've heard many people say that all the melee weapons other than axes suck, I don't know if they figured this on an earlier build but I have been getting good results lately from the shovel in particular and think there is a place for the other weapons. Due to all the resets and fresh starts, I've been doing a lot of melee testing on this new build and fight every zombie I see, as soon as I have a weapon to fight with. It's my view that I can kill a zombie much faster with a pipewrench etc. than just punching it. Another advantage to using a melee weapon over fists is that the weapon increases your range, making it easier to kite the zombie and not take damage during the fight.

I and some of my friends have noticed; that we tend to be reset if we stay on a server that is restarting. If we log out quickly, when noticing the connection lost icons (the solid yellow chain link or solid red chain link), we don't suffer resets as often.

Think about what range the majority of your engagements have been thus far, if you have tended to fight at a distance use the Mosin if you have fought more at close quarters use an M4.
