the FNX is badly broken and should have a MUCH bigger punch, its a .45 cal and does massive damage and should be a 1 or 2 shot kill at most so i would imagine the 9mm to be even worse.

Wow talk about picking out one word; in a game with over 1.5 million players you wont get all of them in a single situation, so yeah I think if you generally (sorry had to) make it work for the masses its ok. Either way, it was just another suggestion to solve server hopping bandits, heroes, and loot farmers in one fell swoop that didn't disadvantage any large group of players. P.S. Going back to patiently waiting on the Devs to deal with the issue. :)
-
True, but friends would generally be on at the same time and chat using skype, TS, raidcall or something before they log in so picking a server together wouldnt be difficult and the Join a Friend is there for the late comers. Its only a cycle which is likely matching the cycle of gameplay for the group of friends.

Here is another solution mainly because i think yours is terrible: Loot respawn and when you log into a server you are locked to that server for a complete cycle of day/night and server hopping stops. People also server hop when playing hero/bandit role as well as just gearing up. Being locked to a server for a cycle alone would stop hopping but without loot respawn would still be a game of getting on a fresh server first, gearing out and waiting in the hot spots for others to come for gear. The implementation of police stations and med centers in multiple places (at least 14 more from what I have read in forums) will also help out. Mostly some patience on the part of the players to allow the dev team to address the issue IN THIS ALPHA game is needed.

As a mostly "lone wolf" type player, I would like to see identifying armbands, squad patch, something; if they want to use them I can more readily identify the group threat and act accordingly. I survive and enjoy the random pvp in the woods or some out of the way place 100X more than going to the "campgrounds" of Electro. Even solo you can get into and out of military bases and airfields where the squads lay in wait, you have to be slow and careful, if that doesnt get your juices flowing you are in the wrong game imo. To clarify, I DON'T want it implemented but see the point being made, and could make use of it.

As for combat logging, there is no such thing anymore since when you log out you are still in the game for 30 seconds and can be killed by player or zombie.

Thats probably the best thought to keep in your head, the other 2 people on that server are going the same place you are so act accordingly.

Server hopping will only stop when random loot is implemented

Loot respawn alone wont stop server hopping; loot respawn with a server lock will. When you log into a server you are locked to that server for a complete cycle of day/night and server hopping stops. Hangars, cammo lookouts outside of military bases, ATC tower

i believe its actually a collision bug with the grass

Absolutely horrible idea and i hope it never happens. There is enough bugs in the "time out" system and this would cause even more server hopping than there already is. The issue of server hopping isnt actually solvable without locking your character to a server for a set amount of time, weather that is by making it a few hours of realtime or a complete day/night cycle or a death/suicide. Lets not forget that loot doesnt respawn at present either, so if you are late to a server reset your chances to get geared up EQUALLY are severely limited, once loot respawns are set/defined the server hopping will be reduced but in reality will never be eliminated. Player count MASSIVELY dictates your play style and you want to dictate playstyle even more by suggesting that if you want survival aspect stay away from military grade loot. Survival aspect enjoyment doesnt have to mean you handcuff yourself to a particular area of the map, even on low pop servers pvp is viable but at least you dont have 30 peeps trying to KoS you and military grade gear can still be a challenge to get. This is especially true for a solo player trying to survive while there are plenty of squads/fireteams out the with no other thought than KoS.

sometimes i think I may have a HA irl from this game with the silent zombie and the unseen assailants. I KNOW i have jumped and "bitch squealed" a couple times when getting shot from nowhere as it seems i am a bandit magnet. I can be in the middle of BFE on a server with 4 peeps and the other 3 are in the same location and harboring bad intentions. Gawd i love playing this game. OOPS my bad.........should have said TESTING this game. :P -

Apparently some are not. More importantly how did this error occur in a STABLE server when changelog .36 hasnt gone to stable yet? Edit: Posted prior to finishing reading entire forum; props to Max. -

What sort of player are you on DayZ? *QUIZ*

What sort of Player are you on DayZ? Your Result: Survivor 83% You are the all round DayZ player who depending on his mood will choose whether to kill or not to. You tend to talk to people but shoot anyone who appears to be a threat. At least however you don't go around sniping new spawns on the coast. 71%Hero 17%Bandit 0%KOS'er -

Sadly enough, the lives of those deploying it are expendable in that situation and don't fool yourself, there are/have been plenty of people in positions to expand on that technology. Not used doesn't mean that is not available. My apologies for this going WAYYYY off track of the original thread......aint forums grand :D

Have never been used in battle but do/did exist. The Special Atomic Demolition Munition (SADM) was a family of man-portable nuclear weapons fielded by the US military in the 1960s, but never used in actual combat. In the 1950s and 1960s, the United States developed several different types of lightweight nuclear device. The smallest of these was the W54 warhead, which had a 10.75 inch diameter (270 mm), was about 15.7 inches long (400 mm), and weighed approximately 23 kg (50 lbs). It was fired by a mechanical timer and had a variable yield equivalent to between 10 tons and 1 kiloton of TNT. The W54 nuclear device was used in the Davy Crockett Weapon System.

Think of the .357 speed loader EXACTLY as a magazine for the M4; you need 1 speed loader for each 6 rounds, IE: if you have 6 .357 speed loaders you have 6 magazines for your .357 weapon.

It seems that DayZ SA likes to spawn me at or near Solnichniy almost every time; I have NO PROBLEMS finding food and water and can sprint/run WITH hands up from the coast all the way to NWAF with only 1 stop for water at any number of ponds and food is never an issue. Upon arriving @ NWAF its bare of course because I am way late from a server reset but there is plenty of "non pristine" loot available if you just look EVERYWHERE; most of the time i am in ok gear before i get there from looting along the way, the key is to NOT stay near the coast and hit as much as you can on your way. Either way, loot isnt really an issue that needs forefront attention nearly as much as character wipes and deaths for no apparent reason.
