Flint, Easy to fix! • Sit down, DO NOT MOVE. • Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink • Do not become stuffed. • Still don't move. • Eat, Drink some more. It takes around 10 minutes to get full colour back. You will need to continue eating + drinking until you get the healing/healthy status though. No need for a IV kit, but it does help a little :-)

Well, during my short time playing so far. I've pretty much got the grasp of it. That said, and I know some of these have been mentioned already.. I've read the posts. No matter where I spawn, what server's I join (I've joined a ton of them!). Regardless of what direction I head in: Berezino, via: Nizhnoye, Solnichiy and various other towns on the way. Or.. Elektro, via all the towns. Even tried going inland a little bit. Tulga, Msta, Deer Stands. Next stop, Staroye. Other than water, I can't find anything. Not even food = resulting in death. This being the case, running around like I'm Rambo. After all, I have nothing to lose! At the moment, It just seems like an utterly pointless exercise. Run around, drink, get hungry, die. Re-spawn and repeat. Did I just join Alpha at a bad time? All servers @ night, loot modified? Don't get me wrong, I'm still persisting with it. But, it's starting to drive me insane now. Not even a crumb! On a side note. I totally crapped my self running through the woods. Flash light on at the time, I swear, I saw the mask of SAW. I'll admit, I jumped.. hugely. I then realised it was my flash light making a certain pattern on the tree bark! Flash light was off after this... ha! p.s: Text chat, does this work in the same way as voice? These files are mainly config settings and graphics settings. I manually edited mine, as did most people on here. Even verifying the content via steam doesn't kick up issues. No one else has reported that the game thinks you're cheating due to these files. That's why it sounds odd. As Karmaterror said, delete DayZ, reinstall it. See if this fixes it. Is it regular, hardcore? Have you tried different servers? Submit a bug report, or speak to BI about the possible modified files.

My system is crap! i5 running @ 3.8GHz GPU - had to stick an old one in: HD 5870 Steam installed onto a 500gb drive, BUT - DayZ running from my SSD. My fps max's out at 60 (locked?) when outside of towns/countryside. Towns it drops to around 30/40. No stuttering, nothing. I believe it's the SSD that is probably saving me, though - that should only affect load times, right?

Oooookk You bought a second copy? This sounds fishy straight away. Fyi, characters are saved on the hive... I suggest posting in the bug tracker :-)

To be honest, both are good games at different things. I couldn't decide by watching videos. I had to buy both. Both are cheap enough as it is :-)

Around 50 rounds sounds right, I went through a full 60mag. I wonder if they damage players stood near them though? Or is it just effects & sound?

I couldn't decide between the 2. So I bought both games... Dayz = 66 hours Rust = 2 hours Nothing else to say..

I mean it's harder to stay alive while playing the good guy. I too, no longer do this. I rarely kill on sight, unless I think they are a threat. I don't even attempt talking to anyone holding a gun now either. Every man for him self ;-)

We simply call them arsehole's :thumbsup: :D It's much harder, much more difficult being the good guy. But awareness will save you on most occasions.

Don't trust anyone.. not even if they say they're friendly! Just been playing with a friend who met someone who was a 'friendly'. I left them to it... my friend was shot, unconscious. Other guy left. I brought my friend back to life... only to discover his 300 ammo box and mosin had been swapped for an m4... I laughed! :-D

Yep, my PC is lower spec'd. My current card is only a 5870 + i5.. but a steady 40-60 fps & bandicam works great.

Afternoon Guys, I think the current way people suggest ideas is pants. Great ideas get lost due to the endless amounts of new topics. Do devs really see these? If they do look, it's hard to distinguish what ideas are good, bad, crap or what the players would like to see. That being the case, I've quickly put together a website where people can vote, submit & comment on ideas. Users get 20 votes per month (current bug.. so just use 19 or you can't submit!). BI have been informed about it, and should the site gather speed - they've been offered full control of it. I've not done this for personal gain. I signed up to this game to participate and aid where I can... If it gathers speed, then job done! It's just a much easier, more organised way to see the most popular ideas. They're no adverts, no links, nothing else but a page about suggestions. You don't even have to be registered. Just try and use your forum name when commenting / submitting things.
