Spot (DayZ)

Players without guns = Free bandaid, painkillers & "torch". XD I have yet to test the new patch. I'm fine with no weapon at the start. If you are careful and know where to look, it's not hard to find a gun (Unless your new to the game, then it may be discouraging enough for them to lose interest). I'm just worried about what I hear about the zombies. From what I read, they seem a little OP right now, but like I said, I need to test it myself.

I know that I won't have to much trouble with no weapon at start. I have the game controls down and know where to go and what to do, but new players may not enjoy the beginning enough to be interested in the long term if its to hard for starting out. I wouldn't want the mods popularity to drop. I want to see this get much bigger.

My friend McWobbles and I were in Dallas 23 on a mountain overlooking the shoreline for noobs to shoot at. I know, this makes us complete bandit buttfaces, but that's not what this topic is about. I spotted a player on the shore with a bunch of boxes around him. I had McWobbles shoot him, and another player running to that location with his sniper gun. Then with his cover, I slipped down to the shore to investigate what these boxes were. I looked into one box to see a massive inventory of just about every weapon you can think of! Shortly after I closed the box without taking anything, I put into the world chat that I would like to report a cheater. Standing over the boxes, I fear the worst that someone would think I was the cheater. Almost immediately I was kicked from the server. I do not know if it was automated or if the admin kicked me, but I am here telling my story with the fear that I might get a ban, and that is of coarse the last thing I want. Day Z is a great game and I play it every day. Should I be afraid of a ban, or am I in the clear? What should I do when I spot a cheater?

No. I avoid it now. I will try to report cheaters. I can run Fraps wile I play and record if I need to from now on. What I'm most worried about is getting banned for interacting with that box. I'd hate to see my name on the next list of banned players.
