I bought the standalone for a friend and a couple other of my friends had the game but never played it. People that KoS even on PvE servers a pathetic and it is a problem. If you really want to kill someone go to a pvp server. Now my friends KoS on PvE servers due to all these backstabs for no reason other then wanting loot. It's a game so respect the rules of the server you're on.

Servers can still have rules that they want people to abide by. I think learning a PvE server is best because that way they can learn the map better and get a change to learn to navigate around. That is how I taught my friend Dankers. On PvE servers I treat it like No KoS. I tell my friends to not kill them but we go through the handcuff banditry stuff but we don't take anything or do anything other then that to people. Then we leave and tell them if they follow we will kill them. Getting the basics of how to act and move about the world and learning locations is best in my opinion then it is learning to die. I told them they will die often and get used to it and for the most part they have. Other then my friend thinking of the idea of logging out after being shot which later I killed him and took is stuff for doing that. I think servers should be fine to allow PvE. Sure some people would gear up on it but for new players that is a great place for them to learn the basics without having to be 100% cautious of everything and everyone. I'm not saying that don't be a bandit on a PvE server. What I was saying is atleast have the common decency to not KoS on one. Obviously it is most likely bambis on that server. Then again more I think about it trying to get anyone that KoS to act decent is probably the wrong approach.

The game is a game and is what you make it. Modders should have the freedom to do what they want with servers that are NOT connected to the main servers so you can't just gear up in one and hop to another. However that said it is fine and it is invalid to insult one play style when all are valid. Everyone plays DayZ for different reasons and gets joy out of it in different ways. Play on a PvE server because you like running into people that will USUALLY not KoS but still might be hostile and create that sense of tension. Others are KoS'ers. With out them we wouldn't be as careful running around however they are frowned upon by non KoS'ers. Some people might only have a hour to play a day because they are busy. Should they not be allowed to gear up and die like the rest of us? They paid for the game and if someone wants to create their own server they should be allowed to. This should not be implemented to allow others to do this till after full release and it is out of pre-alpha, alpha, beta, what ever you want to call this. Which will take some time. When this game is released it should allow people to have their own servers and get what they wanted out of it. Every game can be improved and DayZ after release will be NO exception. No offence to the makers of the game but if you constrict the players from modding and having their own servers after release then I will recommend people to not buy it. I don't recommend it now because it is early developement. However I want to get more friends in the game. Arma 2 and 3 were great becasue of the mods. Let DayZ be great to.

That was a different situation. That hacker only killed people that KoS and snipe on a hill. No need to kill a ungeared player like the guy in the video you're referencing. The guy you faced wasn't hacking or you would of never killed him in the first place. God Mode would of prevented that.

My friends all KoS because they hate this kind of stuff, When I play with them I have to tell them not to KoS or I will just shoot them (which I have done a couple times). If any of you guys do this, please don't. Just gives my friends more reasons to KoS and I don't like that kind of behavior.

have my mics always on would be a bad idea. even if someone isn't talking and they ahve a loud background noise then they are screwed. I also don't care much for this idea. I understand the logic of it but I feel that no one would want to talk in towns and instead telling you to get down they would just shoot you so more people would KoS.

I only combat log in 2 situations 1)If someone is clearly KoSing and are a bad shot and I have no weapon. 2)If someone is stupid enough to say "Just kill him" when they are holding you captive. Honestly I think the combat loggin is fine for the most part. I also think it isn't that big of a deal. Sure it is annoying from time to time when some bandits abuse it but it does more good then harm most of the time. I recommend new players all the time to switch servers if someone is obviously not friendly and telling you to lay down or what ever. I know I will get hate for this comment but it is my opinion and I'm still a player like everyone else. Also - Easy way to leave the gae if the make a countdown is task manager, end process. For them to do it your character would remain alive for 10-20 seconds after disconnecting. However this would be a problem if you happened to aggo a zombie right when you logged out and didn't know or someone found you when you were logging out.

I am kind of annoyed with zombies at the moment. Today I spawned in by Berezino and was looting the market place. Random zombie agro no big deal, ran threw a series of building and went up stairs to loot around. Get hit through the floor. He was below me and hit me. Its buggy I get it so I ran threw more buildings and aggroed 2 more zombies because I was being careless and annoyed. 1 of the zombies just fazed threw all teh buildings running at normal speed the whole time not slowing down. I'm used to the mod so maybe they changed but Zombies are still just a pain and annoying. They don't really add any gameplay other then when you have no loot yet they are annoying. I think there should be a server or two with no zombies until they get fixed. I'm fine with the annoying aspects of them being there but somtimes they are just to annoying and buggy. 1 or 2 servers with no zombies would be great. I know the game is still far from being out of testing but still it is something to think about.

I am fine with zombies being glitchy after all I bought the game knowing they will be. Every now and again I would like to get on a server and not be burdened with them. We all have that day where they just get on your nerves because of their buggy nature. I personaly think it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a couple server for this.

Words can never truely explain the meaning of life. We as humans can only simply try to best explain it in simple actions and words that we have created. The meaning of life is something that no mere human such as us will ever understand. We can only hope we can get a taste of what it truely means such as "Roll throug the wall". xD
