I personally like the idea of skills, but to a certain extent. I'd like how if you were in a small group of survivors lets say 4, one guy could have say a perk in medicine, while another can cook well, and another might be able to run longer, or one can build things better or something along those lines. I know everyone is gonna say its not co-op survival blah, but if you think about it if you were in a zombie apocalypse and you had a family, your wife would most likely be better at something like medical or cooking, rather than sprinting long distances or construction or something (very stereotypical). Plus your average man wouldnt be able to fly a helicopter and im sure some people haven't shot a gun before. Adapting a background of your character will give you more of a goal in surviving and maybe finding people to help survive instead of shooting them with 30 M4A1 shots. Don't make the perks to extreme like someone said above, but make them to a suitable level in which its balanced but just offers more challenge in other fields of the game. ALSO BEARDS WOULD BE COOL. cYa

Dont you also need to wait for that 30 seconds to connect to another server or even back to the same server? so it would just be 10 minute relog timer. Plus youd need to run fairly far to logout away from zombies and civilization to logout but with the 30 chances are youll survive a zombie but not with a 10 minute timer.

I only recently took this screenshot, I feel i just left Novy Sobor but on a map i looked at i cant seem to find the pond, if anyone could pinpoint this location for me i would greatly appreciate it as i have an interest in setting up a camp or something along those lines when it is implemented in the Standalone. If it helps i just ran off a main road maybe maybe 100m or less.

Been playing for over 200hrs, found multiple PU scopes and multiples of every gun but still yet to find a LRS, looted nearly every place youd think theyd spawn and still yet to find one, poor luck? or does the military tents not spawning loot have something to do with it?

i currently am fully kitted on both, i feel like hardcore is more PvP stylish and i feel like dressing like just a normal survivor on regular, kind of like having 2 different personalities

1. Building 2. Bows/Crossbows 3. Cooking 4. Cigarettes 5. Hunting

It seems whenever i am looking over a remote location where no one you would ever assume to be it sounds like someone is opening a can of soda literally right behind me and it literally makes my heart jump, is this just personal paranoia or a bug or is someone actually always near me opening cans?

Could just be a new model, i hope its something more interesting!

It's utterly terrifying, and i swear half the posts on this forum are people saying ALPHA or telling you theres another thread for that.

I could see this as being a great idea, it would be a dead giveaway where you are though but id do it to produce a quality radio show

Hey guys, I have a friend that really wants this game and as i have no issues running the game personally, but his PC is currently lacking the requirements. On http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri it recommends you have 512 mb dedicated video ram but he only has 256. Anyone think if you put minimal graphics and low settings it could still handle it?

His card is a GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430 at 256mb video ram

Hiya, i'm looking for some advice on what i should wear on my character and where i can find it. I currently have the military type gear with a pilot helmet and the military pants but im going for the more hiker/survivor look rather than a bandit. I have a mosin and a green mountain backpack if that helps with style ideas. Post screenshots of your character and clothes please!!!

Similar situation, i was in elektro with an SKS and a PU scope in a building along the side of a road while i noticed 3 guys with motorcycle helmets and misc melee weapons and one of them had a shotgun were talking in the middle of the road, scouted for a while and managed to gather they were in a war with a rival gang. After they shot at eachother (the 2 gangs) ended up length wise down the street with me in the middle simply watching, i noticed them coming near so i crouched at the top of the stairs and waited.. one guy with an M4 walked in and i shot him right in the neck one shot and he was down, followed by his friends yelling calling the motorcycle guys bastards and unloading on them killing all 3. It was interesting how i started a big turf war from one bullet shot. After the dust cleared i ended upstairs with 2 of the guys below me and heard them talking, by some miracle they didnt go to the one room upstairs and i managed to live safely after.

I havent seen an M4 in over a week, doing my regular rounds throughout airstrips and what not, i have a hotspot for a mosin which i find everytime i newly spawn but i have been having a hard time finding any ammo lately, finally found one 20mag of 7.62x51 for my mosin and i have been finding tons of sks's everywhere and asp rounds. Also found my first Blaze 95 but it was on a dead body but still kept my mosin; head inland or north when you look for better stuff you will have much better results

Personally I would love to see a common bow & arrow and maybe a higher grade military crossbow of some sort implemented into the game, something that offers a silent death which someone like myself, would love to be made possible without mauling someone with a fireaxe or something. Also make the bows hard to aim and not 100% lethal unless delivered to kill spots, I would love to find a stealthy spot and take someone out with an arrow to the neck but thats just me.

Yeah I read about that, plus on the wiki it says bows under a weapon section i was just spreading the idea and just sharing ideas about it Plus whats better than having a bow and arrow and living in a tent in the mountains?

I believe they could implement another gamemode where it gives you another character save (like regular/hardcore) but called friendly or something where there is no PvP and just let the people run around there. Although i doubt after you experience it without the threat of other players you will crawl back to pvp.
