  4. Right......... :huh: The point being a lot of the improvements such as the entirely new navmesh are extremely complicated and labor intensive but have not been pushed to any of the builds yet. So the player would not "experience" them yet. He would have to go to the devblog or some other place that contains "words", which would require him to "read" to find out about it. Of course reading comprehension is another question entirely. ;)

    If I had a dime for every time my character was wiped I'd have about 60 cents and I've got over 340 hours in the SA so far.

    The way you fix it is by implementing stiffer penalties for server hopping. Maybe something along the lines of if you change servers more than three times in ten minutes you get a 72 hour respawn timer. Yeah, that should fix it.........

    Did they? People have different motives and different likes/dislikes. Some people want an authentic experience and others want to run around killing everything they see. Some play at night and some don't.

    Yes you are. That being said I don't think it's the sever hoppers who complain about the timer. If that is your mindset it's still easier to sever hop than run between airfields. People complain because the game is still unstable and the severs aren't policed very well. So when they get unjustly kicked or they lose a session or the connection is not as good as the server selection screen indicated or the server time is not accurate etc it's beyond frustrating to have to wait eight minutes to get back in the game. It just has never made sense to me to add a timer like that knowing all the issues the game still has. They should wait until later when most of these issues are fixed. Honestly that is one of the few complaints I have about the development so far. That and for some reason they've had a real knack lately for breaking the game on Friday afternoon so it can't be fixed till Monday. :P

"We do not expect to reach beta status sooner than the end of 2014" - Marek Spanel So if it comes early 2015 and we're still in alpha then you can complain about slow progress. Until then it appears everything is on schedule.

    People complain about the timer because the game is still so unstable and the servers so poorly policed that it's sometimes difficult to find a playable server. It's a mindless and draconian solution to a problem that penalizes innocent players. As to the devs not appealing to the masses.......they sure as hell better appeal to the masses if they want to sell their product. If would be like an entrepreneur saying "I'm gonna open a restaurant and sell food nobody wants to eat"! Now that doesn't make any sense does it?

    People have been bitching, moaning and whining for months now about no respawing loot. There are finally testing a system! We should all be excited. And we shouldn't be surprised if such a major change doesn't work correctly on the first try.

    Your first kill?

    I axed a poor guy to death at the construction site in Berezino one of my first few times playing the game. Over 300 hours later and I've only killed one other person. I was in an apartment overlooking a courtyard in Electro and saw these two guys looting a corpse. One had an M4 and the other had some kind of melee weapon. I had heard gunshots several times in the past few minutes so I figured this must be the guy. Unloaded about 15 rounds of 5.56 into him. That was in January. Haven't killed since.

    Zombies need to be a real threat.

    So zombies can always out run you, take one or two hits to make you bleed and sometimes take 10+ hits with a fire ax to kill. Seems like they may be a little overpowered if anything. You could down a buffalo with fewer swings........
