I am also reminded of this awesome conversation I had with this good friend of mine about wildlife vs zombies. We started talking about hordes of zombies in the cities and how close the devs are to implementing wildlife mainly the predator/prey groups. I had 1 really awesome scenario play out in my mind that lead to a really interesting question. If a mass human extinction were to occur I believe the large predator groups would thrive i.e Bears, Large cats, Wolves. So say a mature black bear is driven into an urban area (insert your logical reasoning here). In said city there is a mass of zombies in the area that the bear's nose leads him to and a bear vs zombie battle thus ensues. I think this would be something really immersive to witness. How cool would it be to "friend" a black bear because you helped him fight off the horde. My final thought on this was ...How many zombies would it take to kill a fully grown black bear? Just me thinks.......

Before the update we would round them up into hordes and then lay waste to them. This is on the docks of Svetlojarsk. I'm far left in blue. We used to do this pretty regularly just for something to do. Looks like now we won't have to. :thumbsup:

Not to mention the rain has a tendency to muffle gunshots, ALOT. I will say something kind of similar happened to me last night. (The reason I read the thread). A friend and I were just outside of elektro, mostly freshies, (this was experimental BTW) and we were about to hit the road for Cherno. I will say that a ton of players were experiencing a ton of connection issues. But here I am running down the road, not even to Pik Koslova yet and my buddy comes over comm saying he just randomly started bleeding. Just as I comprehend what he is saying, my screen goes black, "You are dead". I still have no idea how I died and he has no idea why he started bleeding. We never heard shots or saw any other players (was in 3PP). But never once did we be like "Hmm, musta been the rain". LoLz

I disagree. I have been on the western side of the map for awhile now(hardcore, experimental). In the last week or so I have encountered at least 10 players in Zelenogorsk. Even died there once at night by a player I was trying to lure to me with a gas lantern. Saw a squad of 3 move through about 3 days ago. Observed a gunfight at the Police station there about 5 days ago. It has been pretty quite for the last day or so though.

The other day I was taking a nap...........and dreamt I found a can opener.

Well we certainly wouldn't have the e-cig option any more. B)

@ Rhodes Looks like the mod had some legit rainbows. The one in your image is almost as bright as the one in my RL image.

I'm really sorry to those unable to see the rainbow in the game shot. It is really faint. If I hadn't been trying to spot one since the rain was introduced I probably wouldn't have seen it either. I actually found some shots of a super rare rainbow that I took probably 6-7 years ago that I thought was really cool. I would like to see any in-game images others might be able to capture. I'm curious as to whether or not they get any brighter as this one seems to be pretty damn far away. Please feel free to post any RL shots you've got also but please only images of rainbows you've taken. Not looking for a bunch a random rainbow images plz/thx. I dubbed this the "HaloBow"

Regardless of what weapon I carry it always says the same thing. "I'm in a position to defend my life, Be nice, or prepare to defend yours." My guns are for killing anything that threatens my personal existence.

So i have about 10-12 hours playing the latest version and have searched nearly every loot spawn on the map. Where the hell is the Ruger 10/22? I have found ammo for every other firearm and besides the M4 i have also found every firearm. No ammo for the 22 and no rifle? What gives? If anyone has found it please post shots and tell where you located it. plz/thx I am really, really looking forward to damaging the hell out of players without actually killing them >: )

Guess this is the right of it. I could've swore I saw that it was being added to loot spawns as well. Sorry for being misinformed and thanks for the info

Well I can tell you that the reason for the high rate of spawns on the new weapons is so the devs can get adequate data returns on the usage more quickly.

You can also glitch through the door you can see below you. I had a friend get stuck in there one night. He couldn't get out no matter how he tried. After about 2 minutes of trying i found solid ways in and out. If you get stuck in these locations it seems that if you equip a weapon, jog towards the doors or walls and vault at the proper time getting unstuck is actually pretty easy. I did about 8 laps of the room before he could even get out. Want to add I had never glitched intentionally until this time and then it was only to help him try to figue out how to get out.

It's kind of hard to see in this image but the house in question here has little blue stars that run along the bottom edge. This by far is the best single spot for food I have found so far.

Hey look, just like a real celeb, your being called down for not thinking before you speak. If you were so "superior" I think you would have enough self control to not knock other players for the state of their hardware. I'm sure there are plenty of players with high end gaming rigs that still run with these effects disabled. You sir seem like a pretty "inferior" human to me.

Love how this troll states in his first post that his PC isn't that great (i5, single 460 gpu). Then later goes on to state how his skills,hard work, sense of responsibility, and success allowed him to be able to build this beast that can run the game with post processing effects. Climb down off your high horse, quit thinking of it as a full game that people are "cheating" in and start realizing that any form of circumvention/exploitation these players use are only helping to find said circumventions/exploitations, which in turn leads to a better overall end product. And on a sidenote: It doesn't make a lot of sense to claim your hardware is badass then immediately afterwards talk about what it "can't" do as opposed to others "cheaper" hardware. e.g. "which doesn't work for me, my TV I use as a computer monitor IS TOO FUCKIN BALLIN FOR YOU BROKE BITCHES"

Many Beanz for you Gews. Thanks for all your hard work and insight on realistic ballistics. Nice video sir. Thanks for your contribution. Obviously being able to navigate is of the utmost importance in this game and this video does a nice job of getting folks down the road to surviving.

No problem. Love helping people figure this stuff out. I typically eat 2-3 cans of anything, fresh fruit in large quantities, and entire boxes of cereal and whole bags of rice. Rice and cereal deplete your water since your eating them raw so it's best to consume them near wells. It's important to find the balance of food and water and with no indicators this can take some practice. I always eat AND drink until I'm stuffed then drink just a bit more(2 sips). Once your healthy you won't need to eat and drink till stuffed. Once you get it you'll see just how easy it actually is to get healthy.

Here's some images displaying the healing and healthy statuses. I believe these may change with the next update though. And like i stated previously you should be avoiding damage as much as possible until you reach healthy. If you are in an injured state when you become "healthy" it will say healing until you are healed, at which point it becomes healthy. My character is always healthy and ready to regenerate blood as soon as i take damage. On a side note it seems to me that once your healthy it takes much longer for you to actually become thirsty and hungry(meaning the status is displayed in your inventory).

Are you at full health there? it's looks a little grey washed. To me the sun seems even worse when your vision is grey. I thought for sure that the plan for the shades was to have them lessen the sun's flare.
