Hi guys! A few days ago I requested an Instance ID for hosting a hive on my root server. So far I neither did receive a YES nor a NO from anyone, but having in mind that the last patch was released I assume everyone in the support team is busy as hell right now (and there might be more urgent topics right now than granting permission to host a day z server ;) ) Anyways can someone speak from experience how long it usually takes to get your instance id? And if you got it, is it possible to join the experimental branch by choice? (or even use both branches within the same instance id? ) Would be nice to get some shared experiences from experienced administrators of dayz servers. Maybe you could also leave some hints on how to tweak the performance and stuff like that? (there are always one or two parameters you can change to gain a better result for customers/players) Thanks, Chris

Is this an official statement or just what people say? Cause I havent seen this within any policy or whatever when I placed my Instance-ID order, so I always assumed you only have to fulfill the requirements written down within the hosting policy. The only thing that is not allowed is hosting a server on a so called homeserver, eventhough you have all requirements (anyways, cause of ISP's you cannot do that in germany, thats why I have my own root server hosted by a professional hosting company) I'm also wondering why it then takes them so long to decline my instance-id order, which was placed +/- a week ago... Shouldn't this be done by now, if they already know I'm not allowed to host a server by my own? Anyways thanks for your fast response. But it would be nice to get an official statement on that (and maybe it would be a good idea to put that into hosting rules and knowledge base as well ;) )
