Does my saved character get affected in experimental branch?No. It runs on a different database, so any changes will not affect your character on stable branch.

Rather in about 2 hours when i see that the tweet which said it would need about 5 hours was posted 3,5 hours ago. Nevertheless, the servers are online when they are online.

Please read the patch notes on the first page. Currently there are 2 experimental servers online for internal testing. As long as your DayZ is "experimental" you cannot join the usual servers right now. Switching back to normal it will patch again and allow you to play as before.
