WEAPONS: throwing knives/tomahawks! Blow/dart gun riot shield! Equipment/clothes: Leg/belt holster bandoleer dual chest holster

Hey guys! Just some more item ideas to throw into the mix! Let me know what you think! Leg/ Belt Holster- I know there are already chest holsters, but I've seen countless times in both other games and real life examples of holsters strapped to your belt or strapped to your thigh. Bandoleer- A rambo-esque kind of add on. Either over the shoulder thing or around your thigh Dual Chest Holster- once again, just something I've seen at ranges/ police stations Throwing knives/tomahawks- I myself own a knife made for throwing, I think it would be a cool feature to add in game, these could also double as melee weapons, but significantly weaker. Dart gun/Blow gun- use darts to poison, kill, KO, or maybe paralyze based on where you hit them and if any toxin is present on the point of the dart Riot Shield- could be used for deflecting bullets or attacks, or for swinging at zombies/people Hunting rifles- good ol' civilian hunting rifle so there are different options than just the mosin, or other future military grade rifles

So i was playing in this server when i started to lag, doors weren't opening, items weren't switching/ getting dropped or picked up. so I do what i normally do, I get to a safe location to log out, and go look for a server with a better ping. I find one, same type (regular). I spawn in and I'm a completely fresh spawn with absolutely nothing on me. Anyone have a reason why this happened? (NOTE: I have to do this often because my internet is shit and this is the first time it has happened.) Thanks!

i see your point. Although like it was previously stated, it would be hard to prevent this. I have a couple friends i play with and we just use steam voice chat.....so how would you be able to disable that seeing that DayZ runs through it?

i think the major problems with the weapons list right now are very simple: 1.) not a lot of area specific or time period specific guns 2.) too many military grade weapons/ not enough civi weapons 3.) too many western hemisphere type guns (we are in Russia, not USA)

I like the idea, but i think they won't implement that simply due to the rating issues it could bring along with it.

They could implement this, and possibly instead of having it be a guarantee, maybe they could have it be a 10% or lower chance that you do. It seems like a happy medium, cause some will argue for and against it.

i logged on about an hour ago in hopes to see my fully geared, military-looking, bad*** mother****er on my screen, but instead i got a fresh spawn with nothing on her, anyone have this issue, and if so, why?

anyone else remember back in the mod when hunting stands and random, standalone barns almost always guaranteed a weapon of some sort? I want that back! does anyone know if they plan to implement this again?

sounds like a great idea to me! although there may be limited items that would be russian that are modern (besides the AK series). are there really that many modern guns native to russia/asia?

the body parts and more general gore doesnt seem to be a bad idea at all. However the idea of teleporting, unless i misunderstand you (and correct me if i do) would lead to way too many people being able to quickly loot all of the general hotspots in the game (i.e. airfields, military bases, etc.)
