Im always one shot, or atleast when i hear the shots a second later, "You're dead" - No idea how you managed that. Prolly the bullets do less damage over distance.

I played SA for maybe 40 hours, and we had this in the mod slightly too, but in SA it got way worse, you just cant localize where the shots are coming from. IMO the 3D sound is broken, and needs to be fixed in the future. You could guess the bearing, but thats is, you cant even tell if the shots game from uphill.

For me its not true. A gun in my hands doesn't ease my nervs. But the "Healthy - Energized - Hydrated" stats are what makes start thinking about going for a loot hunt. You can eat more bullets when pumped up thou.

Sorry cant help you with this, probably just play on a different branch for awhile.

I can say this, I never got a wipe since the SA is out, except the first hours, where i got a new char on every log-in lol. Probably you have to watch what servers you're joining. Bugs ofc annoy, but if it annoys you too much dont hate the game or the devs, just play smth else its what i'm doing.

There should be a poll option to "i'll wait for more content" or something similar. I have the urge to turn DayZ alot, but when im in, i dont know exactly what i should do. I dont want to kill people just because theres no other content. I tried to help people too, but got backstabbed too often. Now i have 4 all pristine geared chars, with SKS's and M4s. I'll just wait for the bikes to be implemented and start a tour around Chernarus. I would like to build myself a small camp, with a good view and a fireplace.

Haha some nights ago i was looting NEAF and some guy was shooting zeds (i guessed) but then the position of the single M4 shots changed too quick in my direction so i bailed. I listened to him all time, but right as i was 300m away i saw him in the ACT. I had no ammo so i wasn't very fond of interacting. This said, it reminds me too much on the Zero Punctuation episode from the Escapist. Watch it you'll die lauging. "Are you friendly?" "Depends. Is this a gun?" "Yes. Uhm, is this gun?" "Yes." That exactly sums up why DayZ should be played in 1st person. No offense to anyone who plays 3rd, i do it too, but 1st is the way to go to get away from immersion breaking campers, glitchers etc. On 1st, you're just focused on doing different things than camping the road between Elektro and Cherno behind a rock. Awesome job dslyexci did there once again.

I love to play DayZ HC, immersion and gameplay wise (IMAO DayZ should be 1st only), but there are a few occasions when i wish i had the 3rd person. And thats when im just running around marathon like, its just nice to look around in 3rd, to gaze on the beautiful lands of Chernarus (since the 3rd raises your vision half a meter) - and when i play this game in 1st for a long time i get motion sick, because of the jumpy FPS. I say i play with 60 fps most of the times, but then again it drops to 15, and im not even talking about big cities. Needless to say i cant hit shit with that lag. Aaaand looting is easier on 3rd person, thats a bummer. I really thought about dropping it as i saw they'll release it with 3rd person enabled, but thats why we have HC servers, right..

I have encountered many in SA, but it seems i have a intention to whos friendly and not. 3 times i got shot with my regular char, the one time i HAD to defend myself and survived, the other 2 times i was unconcious, and after some talking and forced exchange of goods we walked in different directions, noone died. Im around the area between Zeleno and Berezino, im not that much directly at the coast. But game isnt changing for me, on experimental i still get KOSd, but hey, if they get a hard-on from it.

Im playing games since about 12 years. Running threw Chernarus with no single clue where the fuck i am, reading signs and shit... aww.. one of the best gaming experiences i had!

I don't think so. Except you have ever seen a tactic shooter on a Playstation 3? (Since they stopped developing Ghost Recon) But you wouldn't be satisfied, there just too few buttons on your pad bro.

Im using Steam, bought Arma CO, played fine until the first time i applied a beta patch ( therefor it was 93xxx ), played, spawned in a wrong location, logged out, and now im stuck. As mentioned, i think it was 1.5 .. 3 weeks Im tried SixLauncher, Worrom, Arma 2 Launcher. Always on latest patch and dayz version. Tried 17.2.1 on 4700 on "SE 3" Server 1.7.2 on 4700 1.7.1.x on 4444 / 4364 / 4209 / 4103 ..and none worked for me. Cheers Hopefully, someone can help me.

1.7.2 didn't fix it for me neither. I'm kind of starving here, this is a RL survival feature! Please devs, help us. Last working DayZ for me was 1.3 .. spawned once on a wrong location! Probably a reset would help me!

BUMP. Since when are you experiencing this? I'm stuck at loading since 3 weeks, so i assume this is not game/patch/mod related. If you want your ID reset, you have to post it here. I'm quite confused because there is no "reset me" - thread oO? Mod?
